Food is always good. We like the small hometown bar feel and you always feel welcome.

Overall it's probably four stars, but the extra star is because Gili-b's is open 24/7…read more Probably everyone in Sioux Falls knows this spot as a place that's great for late night food after consuming horrifying amounts of alcohol, but did you know it's actually BETTER in the daytime? A rarity for late-night drunk food spots, Gili-b's is actually some super legit Mexican food. I've come here for lunch dozens of times when the food and kitchen is fresh, the customers are sober, and the employees aren't stressed by a bunch of drunken jerks asking for ridiculous orders and demanding their food be ready with the speed of Taco Bell. Since I'm gluten free, the street tacos are my go-to. Nothing better than meat in corn tortillas, topped off with onions and cilantro. What else do you need? Alright, their salsas and sauces are also excellent. My favorites are the chorizo, carnitas, carne asada, chicharron and lengua (unfortunately they are sometimes sold out of this one). Plus a tamarind Jarritos. Our last meal before moving from Sioux Falls was here (sober and in the daytime), and anytime I'm back in town I'm heading here IMMEDIATELY.

As a person who loves dark beers, stouts, bocks..etc it was a pleasant surprise to see New Belgium 1554 on tap. Made my night. Maybe the next time they will have those fancy beer mugs with handles instead of Coors Light glasses. Speciality beers deserve special mugs. Bourbon Bacon Burger - Great flavor and juicy. The camarelized onions fit perfectly with the overall vibe of the burger Station 10 Sandwhich - Midwest version of a Philly. A little on the spicy side but we later figured out that there were a bunch of jalapenos at the bottom of the sandwhich. You honestly don't need this since the sandwhich was amazing by itself but we also had Au Jus on the side. The seating area at the bar looked very inviting so the next time we visit, we will sit at the bar.

Hated to send them back but not edible. They refried. They were a little bit better but not great. The server in training cleared our plates and we requested our check- said she'd be right back. A full 20 minutes later the training server showed up and asked if we were ready to close our tab? Trainee appeared to be cleaning bathrooms? Food tonight was mediocre. Service wasn't bad when they were serving us - but a lot of the time we weren't being served. Want this place to succeed-it's a local place for us.
