My favorite brewery on my visit to Sioux Falls! + flights + great variety of brews + IPAs for daysss + merch + clean bathrooms + friendly service + convenient location + indoor and outdoor seating

I'd say it's between a 4-4.5. This was the first brewery we visited while in town. It was a Friday late afternoon and not too busy. The space is really nice and open. We sat at the bar stools by the open window. Beers were pretty good - didn't knock my socks off but all pretty easy drinking. I had a sour, the kolsch, a wheat ale, and a lager. Service was friendly and I would definitely stop in again when I was in town!

First time stopping here while in town on business. Modern feel to the tasting room. Lots of window glass and spacious area. Street parking was fine for the Wednesday night I visited. Bartender was knowledgeable on the beers and said he home brewed one of the offerings. Good guy and he spoke highly of his other breweries in town which is a cool thing about the brewer culture. Good selection of IPAs that were all decent. Located in downtown walking distance from the Falls. Lots of breweries in vicinity so a good place for a brewery crawl. Beers are good but I've had better. No complaints though. Check them out. It was dog friendly the night I was there.

I got the cider and was not disappointed. I also kicked some butt on the shuffleboard in this place, while able to have the outdoor breeze come thru the garage door type opening in the front no food options here, but the drinks are worth trying.

New brewery in Sioux Falls. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. I liked the couple I tried. I will be back.

I had never been here so I stopped by when I was in town from Florida. It is on Philips Avenue close to the Falls Park. They have a nice location with seating inside and out. A nice selection of beers. I try the Monster Cookie on Nitro and the Coconut Tan Lines - both were good.

What a great Brewery! The beer is great and location even better. You order your beer at the bar and then go to your table we sat outside to enjoy the amazing summer weather. Met lots of great people and had a great time drinking local beer.

This place is a gem! Great atmosphere, great beer selection and the bartenders are really friendly and knowledgeable. This place would be awesome in the summer with the large garage doors, patio and view of the Falls.

Luckily, they allow dogs inside! The place has great dive-bar vibes but the tap list and menu punch way above that. The staff was fantastic with out server being really friendly and helpful. We just split a casear salad and some fries and left full. The price is great for the quality and amount you get. Our server was very friendly and attentive and gave great service. We had green bean fries as an appetizer. They were excellent. We ordered their Monk's Classic Double burger which was very juicy and amazing. I would definitely order this again. We also had the Alther pizza which was excellent too. The wait time for our food was pretty quick. This place has a fun atmosphere but not too loud. They have 50 beers on tap and you can just order by the number. I'm a dark beer lover so I ordered two different dark beers. The best one was the Drekker Smooth or Die Milk stout with peanut butter and chocolate flavors. It was so good that my wife ordered it for her second drink. They are willing to give you a sample if you aren't sure what to order. This place came highly recommended by our friends and it did not disappoint. We will definitely be going back.

And somehow we stumbled right into JL Beers. Or perhaps more accurately, the scent of burgers guided us there like a pair of hungry travelers following a greasy North Star. Either way, what a fantastic little find this turned out to be. The burgers were juicy, flavorful, and properly satisfying in the way a good burger should be. Not overcomplicated. Not trying too hard. Just well-prepared comfort food done right. The fries were excellent too -- crisp, well-seasoned, and dangerously easy to keep eating long after I was already full. The service also impressed me quite a bit. Even on a busy Sunday afternoon, the staff remained attentive, friendly, and efficient without making us feel rushed. One unexpectedly fun part of the visit was trying non-alcoholic beer options for the first time. My husband and I are not really drinkers, so this was a little adventure for us. The sparkling hop water was surprisingly refreshing and delightful, while the Athletic non-alcoholic beer leaned a little more bitter than my personal preference. Still, I appreciated finally getting to try some of the newer NA options people have been talking about lately. And honestly, this place wound up becoming one of our gateway restaurants into exploring more of DTSF afterward. We have returned several times since, usually combining it with walks around downtown and trying other local spots nearby. Now, of course, every local already knows the true final boss battle of downtown Sioux Falls: Parking. At some point you simply accept that you are either going to circle the block repeatedly like a confused migrating bird or surrender gracefully and use one of the nearby parking garages. Which honestly is not the end of the world. The walk is good for us. At least until winter arrives and the sidewalks become an Olympic slipping event sponsored by snow, ice, and regret.
