I'm an Indian food/Curry lover so I was suspiciously curious of the curry in coffee flavor. I personally do not taste nor smell curry specifically, but it's combination with the other ingredients seem to be intentionally selected, tested and proven, especially served hot (typically my default ). One of my favorite coffee shops in Sioux Falls. I always order a cafe miel, but you can find all sorts of coffee and non coffee drinks. I have yet to go late enough in the day to enjoy the self-pour beer wall, but those I know who have tried it really enjoy the selections available. I like having meetings at The Source because there are so many seats and the big window that looks out onto Phillips is a great sunny spot. You can never go wrong with this place! read more

I love checking The Source out when I'm downtown wandering. They've got beer, wine and espresso! Something for everyone with a seasonal menu that always has unique flavor combos. It's in a building with several other shops/food places so plenty of seating is available indoors and outdoors. Service is always quick when ordering but does take a bit to get the coffee made (no longer than 5 mins). I tried the pineapple coconut espresso drink this trip and it was a trip! Tasted like pina colada at first then coffee aftertaste. Really unique. It's a bit pricey ($10) so I don't frequently stop but check it out if you haven't! read more

Stopped in early on a Sunday morning in May. The building is pretty cool. It is a mixed use retail and residential building - ground for is a mix of shops and restaurants while the higher floors are residential. Source is located at the very front of the building facing the street. The menu has all of the normal coffee drinks - I opted for an Americano. It was very well prepared and was very tasty. It didn't have the over acidic taste that coffee can have sometimes. it was early in the morning so I did not take advantage, but there is a great row of beer taps as well. A mix of local and regional brews. Definitely recommend. N*joy! read more

I made the correct decision to stop by The Source. Everyone was so nice and when I ordered the wrong coffee they made me the correct one at no charge. I was more than happy to pay for the remake but they insisted at making it right. The coffee was excellent as well. Great staff and great coffee. read more

Going downtown? Skip the rude people at Coffea and go straight here! Seriously... This place makes Coffea's service look even worse and their quality of coffee is pale in comparison to THE Source. I know some local cafes boast that they carry local Coffea's beans and such, but The Source's quality of coffee was so much better! Coffea has several locations and probably a louder-mouthed marketing person behind it... which is most likely the ONLY reason they're featured in so many places. BUT... The Source is in an adorable building of small shops and eateries, is set up with a super cool modern vibe, and their staff - their STAFF are responsive, well-trained, knowledgable and actually SMILED at the customers! (**GASP!**) I tested out my usual dirty chai with oat milk & vanilla and it did not disappoint... perfectly balanced flavor! Hubs had an interesting Thai curry with oat milk special (sounds weird but it was super delish!) that I also loved. We hope to go here again before our time in this area is up. Beer...check! Coffee...check! If you're in the mood for both, then this place is perfect for you. Although I haven't tried any of their beers on tap, I can say that their coffee and specialty drink selection is really good. Their Matcha is one of the better ones that we've had. The earthy taste with a hint of bitterness is a flavor that I really like. Also recommend their version of the cafe miel if you prefer to play it safe, but want to try something a little sweeter flavor for your coffee. read more

Stopped in here at the tail end of a business trip when I and some co-workers had a few hours to kill before heading to the airport. Great spot to hang out, grab a coffee, and get caught up on e-mail. Solid wifi signal, really friendly staff, and good coffee. I got a 16-ounce cold press with half-and-half and agave syrup and wasn't disappointed. The shop has its own seating, but there's also a great common sitting area across the hall, where I grabbed a seat at a long, high-top table near some outlets. Other shops share the building, including a pastry shop down the hall with some amazing goodies. Lots of nice tall windows give the place some light, and I really enjoyed hanging out here. Asked the barista if I could have the leftover milk on my order from the frothing pitcher because I was unsure of the cappuccino strength as this was my first time checking out the shop. It was not my order yet, she said. 30 seconds later, when it was my order--the next one up--I proceeded to ask the same, while she was pouring the cappuccino into the mug. As soon as I started talking she quickly poured out the leftover milk into the sink and washed the frothing pitcher. Misunderstandings happen all the time, but this was such an unwarranted disrespect...it totally ruined the first impression for me at the Source in Sioux Falls. read more

Yummy, locally roasted, and locally owned! I may be a bit biased but this is definitely a favorite place to go when ever I visit Sioux Falls. The cold brew is sharp and delicious. Also a big fan of their cafe miel, so if you get a chance try that one if you want something special. They have a wide assortment of beers on tap, although I'm not a drinker, this was a cool option to have in a centrally located coffee shop that is part of a mix use place. The vibes of the coffee shop allow for studying, catching up, and business. It's a modern industrial design but also charming and cozy at the same time. Plus plenty of local events on occasion too. Ideal coffee stop for a quick cup or tasty bite. The barista recommended the coffee of the day, which was an Ethiopian blend, and it was delicious. Also a number of pour-overs were available. I also had the raisin cinnamon toast which was hearty, warm and served with butter - outstanding. Bright space with windows on the street and plenty of seating. WiFi was also good. I always hit up the small coffee shops wherever I travel. This one hit the spot. Great location and enough parking with more than enough places to enjoy your brew inside. The Source is located in a really interesting shopping center, a little bit further down Phillips. The staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. The self-serve tap system is definitely unique to Sioux Falls. The coffee is great and they offer a variety of specialty drinks and single origin beans. read more
