Stopped in early on a Sunday morning in May. The building is pretty cool. It is a mixed use retail and residential building - ground for is a mix of shops and restaurants while the higher floors are residential. Source is located at the very front of the building facing the street. The menu has all of the normal coffee drinks - I opted for an Americano. It was very well prepared and was very tasty. It didn't have the over acidic taste that coffee can have sometimes. it was early in the morning so I did not take advantage, but there is a great row of beer taps as well. A mix of local and regional brews. Definitely recommend. N*joy!

Going downtown? Skip the rude people at Coffea and go straight here! Seriously... This place makes Coffea's service look even worse and their quality of coffee is pale in comparison to THE Source. I know some local cafes boast that they carry local Coffea's beans and such, but The Source's quality of coffee was so much better! Coffea has several locations and probably a louder-mouthed marketing person behind it... which is most likely the ONLY reason they're featured in so many places. BUT... The Source is in an adorable building of small shops and eateries, is set up with a super cool modern vibe, and their staff - their STAFF are responsive, well-trained, knowledgable and actually SMILED at the customers! (**GASP!**) I tested out my usual dirty chai with oat milk & vanilla and it did not disappoint... perfectly balanced flavor! Hubs had an interesting Thai curry with oat milk special (sounds weird but it was super delish!) that I also loved. We hope to go here again before our time in this area is up. Highly, highly recommend!

Beer...check! Coffee...check! If you're in the mood for both, then this place is perfect for you. Although I haven't tried any of their beers on tap, I can say that their coffee and specialty drink selection is really good. Their Matcha is one of the better ones that we've had. The earthy taste with a hint of bitterness is a flavor that I really like. Also recommend their version of the cafe miel if you prefer to play it safe, but want to try something a little sweeter flavor for your coffee.

    Grey Skies. Highly recommend!

So tasty. Chill vibe. Literally the best coffee I've had. Might need to buy some coffee to take home.

I love the way idea of coffee during the day and beer at night! We came during the day so I went with a cappuccino. The cap was a little bitter, but the barista was super busy and she was the only one behind the counter so props to her! The had some inventive coffee and tea drinks, but I'm not adventurous when it comes to coffee. Overall it is a cute place to grab a drink, whether it be morning or night, with friends!

No prices posted on menus. Ambiance and staff were great. Cold brew was so sour I almost tossed it after playing 7$ for it.

The space is fine. The service is good. The espressos tasted burnt with overly harsh acidity.

Our server was very friendly and attentive and gave great service. We had green bean fries as an appetizer. They were excellent. We ordered their Monk's Classic Double burger which was very juicy and amazing. I would definitely order this again. We also had the Alther pizza which was excellent too. The wait time for our food was pretty quick. This place has a fun atmosphere but not too loud. They have 50 beers on tap and you can just order by the number. I'm a dark beer lover so I ordered two different dark beers. The best one was the Drekker Smooth or Die Milk stout with peanut butter and chocolate flavors. It was so good that my wife ordered it for her second drink. They are willing to give you a sample if you aren't sure what to order. This place came highly recommended by our friends and it did not disappoint. We will definitely be going back.

And somehow we stumbled right into JL Beers. Or perhaps more accurately, the scent of burgers guided us there like a pair of hungry travelers following a greasy North Star. Either way, what a fantastic little find this turned out to be. The burgers were juicy, flavorful, and properly satisfying in the way a good burger should be. Not overcomplicated. Not trying too hard. Just well-prepared comfort food done right. The fries were excellent too -- crisp, well-seasoned, and dangerously easy to keep eating long after I was already full. The service also impressed me quite a bit. Even on a busy Sunday afternoon, the staff remained attentive, friendly, and efficient without making us feel rushed. One unexpectedly fun part of the visit was trying non-alcoholic beer options for the first time. My husband and I are not really drinkers, so this was a little adventure for us. The sparkling hop water was surprisingly refreshing and delightful, while the Athletic non-alcoholic beer leaned a little more bitter than my personal preference. Still, I appreciated finally getting to try some of the newer NA options people have been talking about lately. And honestly, this place wound up becoming one of our gateway restaurants into exploring more of DTSF afterward. We have returned several times since, usually combining it with walks around downtown and trying other local spots nearby. Now, of course, every local already knows the true final boss battle of downtown Sioux Falls: Parking. At some point you simply accept that you are either going to circle the block repeatedly like a confused migrating bird or surrender gracefully and use one of the nearby parking garages. Which honestly is not the end of the world. The walk is good for us. At least until winter arrives and the sidewalks become an Olympic slipping event sponsored by snow, ice, and regret.
