3 Chicken Strip Dinner was a great value. The Chicken Strips were outstanding with great flavor and portion size. The Texas Toast was mediocre and suggest using different type butter or spread possibly with herbs or spices. This restaurant has maintained a delicious breakfast since the ownership has changed; however, the dinner has lacked tremendously. There was a group of six of us that visited recently and we agreed that the quality of food has gone downhill, especially the chicken gizzards and fried chicken. My wife and I went for breakfast on a Saturday and were very pleased. Small, local bar hang-out atmosphere but we were made to feel welcome. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Food was great and prices are fair. Beer and wine only so no Saturday Bloody Mary fix. Coffee could be stronger for me but overall I definitely recommend Botski's. Our first time here. Small place with on person working that we could see. I got a chicken dinner with 2 sides, my husband got nachos with extra meat. The food was hot!! The nachos didn't look like there was extra meat at all and I never got the salad that was supposed to be one of my sides. After we had our food for a while, the waitress asked how everything was and then she never returned to our table. It was pretty warm in that little place, and after waiting for quite some time, I went out to sit in the air conditioned car while my husband waited for the bill, hoping she would notice me leaving. Bad service. Two hour wait time. Incorrect order (once it finally came out). Overcharged on the bill. I had heard botski's had good chicken and chislic, so I decided to give it a try. My experience at Botski's was as described above. The chislic was below average and the chicken was just okay. Our server was very polite but highly inattentive until it came time for us to pay. Fantastic. We stopped several weeks ago to try the fried chicken and it's well worth the hype. Service was excellent and the place was PACKED on a weekday which is always a good sign. We decided to go back today to try the breakfast menu and were again impressed. We grabbed the very last seat in the entire place. Great French toast and ridiculously cheap for all the food we got! This restaurant is hands down one of the most overlooked hidden gems in Sioux Falls. I can guarantee that your first sit down if you order the fried chicken you will walk out of that restaurant not only satisfied but finding yourself planning the next trip back. The simple hole in the wall decor mixed with a awkwardly placed wii in the back corner of the restaurant make it seem like the place where your friends are going to hang out every night. you can guarantee a consistent meal and friendly atmosphere. The wait staff is definitely used to the regulars and always happy to welcome new customers in and invite them to become part of the family. My only general complaint is a strictly beer and wine menu, it wouldn't hurt a restaurant with such great food to be able to mix in a mixed drink here in there and that would keep me coming back on a more consistent basis. read more
