We decided to have our meals outside on this beautiful Sunday afternoon and to also enjoy the view of the pond. Will was our server and was friendly and attentive. He gave some good recommendations for burgers and I went with the one with Brie cheese which was good. My daughter had the blackened mahi mahi tacos which were delicious as well. Oh I forgot we also grabbed bruschetta (choose any 3) and the ones we chose were salami, salmon and the shrimp. It was the perfect afternoon to come here. We saw the group of geese cross the street two times and it was a peaceful and positive vibes day. Great place to spend a Sunday mid-afternoon with my daughter. Will also mentioned that this year is their 5th Anniversary and also mentioned that Mondays from 6-8p, they have trivia nights and not to forget their Happy Hours from 2-5p on the weekdays.

They didn't even fry the chicken properly! It was cooked to crisp. Extremely dry, inedible. Meanwhile, their vegetables were raw. Potatoes swimming in a pool of oil. This was the worst dining experience I've had in a long time. Nobody checked on us until the very end of the meal. When we brought the issue up to our waitress, she insisted that the chicken was properly cooked. At that point, everybody else was done with their meal so there was no point prolonging the argument. Incredibly bad meal, I'm still shocked by it.

We were extremely disappointed with our experience with Casa Lola during our son's wedding…read more Several things went wrong on what should have been a very special and memorable day. The food arrived late, and, most importantly, the food that was delivered was completely wrong from what we had ordered. This was not a minor mistake or a small substitution--the food provided was not the food we had specifically arranged for our guests. On top of that, there were no heating trays provided, so there was no way to keep the food warm as expected. These issues created additional stress and disappointment on a day when we should have been able to focus on celebrating our son and his new wife. What made the situation even more disappointing was what happened afterward. We were promised a refund because of the problems we experienced. We have followed up several times by email, phone calls and text, but the refund was never received. We have also been unable to get a response from the owner or the owner's daughter, Karla. At this point, we feel that we have been completely ghosted.

The way it was described verses the way it was prepared I give it a 0/5 (I thought if it set for a minute it would get better forgot the basil so it was thrown on after it was cooked)! The Beef Stroganoff was delicious and the chose of noodles really brought the dish together. My reason for showing up was to sample their chili which, according to them is amazing. Meh. Talk is cheap. No stars off for the misleading marketing but if amazing chili is your thing, pass this place by. Scottys claims their chili is amazing. It's above average (average in Portland is disgustingly lousy) but far from amazing. It's spicy and has lots of meat, which makes it above [PDX] average. But it's served on a large but very shallow bowl so the portion is very stingy. It was also barely warm so a big minus for that. If it was served in a massive sized bowl, *HOT*, with a basket of saltines that weren't previously pulverized by who knows how many previous diners you might have a contender. Sorry Scottys but your chili is a long way from amazing. Other than that, bartender was fine. Prices were reasonable. No complaints about staff or the venue. Not especially my kind of place so doubtful I will ever become a regular. But it has dark, intimate corners to bring a date and a few large windows if you like it bright while you imbibe. They do run regular specials and the special today looked pretty good except that I was there specifically to sample their chili. Perhaps you should make mac and cheese your signature dish, Scottys?
