Glad to see this restaurant gone. Cook was the owner and he didn't know the difference between well done and medium. You should never have to get a carry out that is made wrong and have to put it on the grill at your home to finish cooking it because the cook wouldn't remake it for you. So to see this company gone is a good thing. I just feel bad for the staff that worked under that horrible cook/owner. read more

See the menu below! Clean place with easy listening music with a bit of 80-90 country music at a very comfortable level! Service was spot on and the food was excellent! Most importantly, look at the prices! I feel like this is the best value for the food anywhere! The only issue is their corned beef hash is not homemade . Coffee and water refills are always coming and the atmosphere is very ummm feels like a small restaurant in the UP of Michigan. We really liked it here this morning. Heads up...take cash. Fraser's Best! This little restaurant at the northwest corner of 14 Mile and Groesbeck Highway was just 'what the doctor ordered'. I popped in a little before 2pm and it was probably filled to the capacity allowed by the governor during the pandemic of 2020. Their sign advertising Coneys for 99¢ on Tuesdays caught my eye. And my stomach agreed. I rummaged around for a face mask, then proceeded inside. I felt a little sheepish as I sat down at a booth all by myself. Soon, those feelings left me as I looked at their menu. It was Tuesday. I walked in expecting to order Coneys. After scanning the menu, I almost forgot that. There were some great sandwiches listed, a complete breakfast menu (served anytime), a small kids section, and an early dinner section. As I looked over the menu, I glanced back at the door. If I eat here too often, they're gonna have to widen that door. I suddenly remembered that I wanted the daily special, so I ordered twin Coney Island hot dogs. Oh, and throw in an order of those fancy pants chili cheese fries! My drink arrived shortly thereafter. Now let me tell you, I had to snap the food pictures with haste, because my fingers were starving. I tore into those Coneys and they were gone in a flash. Based around Koegel brand hot dogs, they were some mighty fine Coneys. The Chili Cheese Fries Supreme were supreme! Of course, I could have ordered them without the 'supreme' part and they would have been great, but the added onions and jalapenos put them over the top. The door closest to 14 Mile Road has a carry-out window just inside, and a white board with the daily specials. They do a pretty brisk take-out business there. All in all, I had a pretty good meal. Stopped in for breakfast. Nice place. Clean dining area. Friendly staff. The breakfast I ordered was the basic eggs,bacon,hash browns and toast. I like my eggs over easy they were cooked the way I like them not slimy. The bacon I ask to be crisp and it was. The hash browns were cooked fine not greasy and the wheat toast not burnt. The service at the grill house was above average. The waitress was friendly and precise taking my order. She even came around a couple times to make sure my food was good. The food was indeed good. It did not blow me away nor was it inedible. One of 3 eggs came overcooked because the yolk broke. It happens. The hash browns are pretty sub par at this place. Super dry which I've never had before. Bacon, ham and links also all average, the links came cold on one side and warm on the other. That was strange but I ate them, I was hungry! Guess they premake and reheat them. The pancakes were pancakes, hard to mess up. Toady was not great. It was crunchy and dried out with a weird layer of butter. Hard to explain but it was not great. Overall I'm pretty harsh on food these days but I'd give food alone a 3/5 which to me just falls under the "good" category. The prices was pretty reasonable. They offer a nice deluxe option with any order which includes fries and a soup, but they were out of 1 of their 2 soup options and it was the middle of the day. Early afternoon. Seems a bit early to already be out if you ask me. I went to pay my bill and at the register a card processing fee was added. It wasn't much, 3%. But it's the principle behind it. If you want to retain customers and those customers don't bring cash, then you eat the 3% fee, not the customer. Overall if it weren't for this card processing fee I would most likely have come back at some point for lunch again. However, I think it's ridiculous that I should have to pay for them to accept my credit card. At a place that has average pricing, not super cheap, they can afford to not charge their customers this fee. Or put a sign that says cash only. At least that's better than a surprise fee at the end of someone's bill. I left the waitress a good tip, she did nothing wrong as far as her job goes. Oh the ambiance was actually quite nice for a little spot. Looks like they recently remodeled. I am a fan of the design and overall finish of the place. I just got eggs, hashbrowns and toast so nothing fancy. Service was prompt and friendly and place was clean. Nice small local place that will visit again. I didnt see anything on menu that was out of the norm but when a place is clean, good food and prompt servers I will always rate higher. No coke products so that was a downer for my hubby but will visit again. read more

It is good. I have been twice. Good food, but the service was odd and slow, and not "guest first" for my second visit. A sign saying you are "short handed", should not excuse an employee eating in a both while others wait for food/service. I'll give them another shot, but second visit was a let down. read more

First timer! Walked into a clean restaurant with friendly wait staff. Jennifer was my waitress, she was nice and attentive. Ordered coffee and the country omelette. Coffee was good, not old. Have been there many many times and usualy outstanding. This time every coffee cup was dirty on the outside and back door glass was filthy. Food was good, prices reasonable. Blonde server ok seemed a little dazed. If we walk in next time and get served dirty cups we're walking out. Was not impressive. Hope this was a one off. read more

Great little coney place! Nice service, delicious food. We stopped in on a Sunday and I wasn't sure they were open. Signs painted on the from off the building stated their hours were Monday thru Saturday, but their door stated stone Sunday hours so went in. Had a Greek chicken salad and my sister had a Greek pita...their in house made Greek dressing was AWESOME...yummmmmo! When it seems so many places these days are giving little effort, this place seemed to give some extra, and it was noticeable! Stop on in for some good food!! read more

Went to the Grill House at 14 and Groesbeck. 3 cups of coffee and a half hour later I still didn't get my breakfast. The guy in the kitchen was lost. Shit was coming out one item at a time. When the guy sitting at the counter got his breakfast that was the last straw. He had come in way after I did. I paid for my coffee and left. What a shit show !!! I never seen such circus. read more

The chef is amazing. I have eaten breakfast, lunch and dinner here. The price is reasonable. The staff is friendly and the place is clean. I never had such a delicious corn beef sandwich.
