    Pastrami Sandwich on Rye bread
    Becca W.

LOVE THIS PLACE. Whether or not it's for breakfast or lunch anything we get is ALWAYS amazing. Darlene are waitress was very kind and friendly, answered any and all questions we had. Steve I believe is the owner was very nice as well and accommodating. Today I got the half sandwich tuna melt with cabbage roll soup. Cabbage roll soup was a special and tasted divine it was very filling and was perfect, the tuna sandwich was also very yummy I love all the additions they add to it. My husband ordered the bad boy and there was nothing left. Always a great place to eat will definitely be back. Place was clean and tables were set nicely.

I'm going to update my review. Solid 5. Always fresh, always fast. Great homemade food.

Fries were made perfect. Crunchy but not burnt.

My first and not last visit. Great service the menus is small but very unique. Town Club pop. Fried bologna or spam sandwiches. I had the number 13. Corned beef salami Swiss mustard and pickles on pumpernickel. My husband had the corned beef and coleslaw. Prices are reasonable. Next time I'm trying breakfast.

Went in for brunch. I ordered the pastrami hash with two over easy eggs and white toast. The hash was fantastic the pastrami was smoked great flavor. The potatoes were prepared well. The eggs were good with a good runny yolk. The service is fantastic and friendly. The dining area was clean. Coke products are served.

Stopped in today on a whim. I had the hot roast beef (with homemade mashed potatoes), hubby had podium burgers (ginormous sliders) & daughter had the wise guy (cheesesteak). OMG! What an amazing hidden gem! The lead server is super sweet & the head chef & owner was great too! The food was fantastic! It has a divey old time 50s diner feel to it. We are all SUPER glad we stopped in! We think we found our new stop in! It sits back on Groesbeck so make sure to watch for this one!!!

A local business revived - yet another solid restaurant in the area. Open less than a year, this restaurant is a nice diner just south of 13 Mile Road along Michigan's M-97 Highway. 1st off, the staff here did a wonderful job in service, and the owner was on hand to personally see to it that everyone was greeted and all their needs were met. Their menu is on news print, simple, but chocked full of whimsical choices. Found inside 4 pages, their breakfast offerings fill 2 pages, and spill onto a 3rd. For breakfast, I ordered the A12 Peek-a-boo eggs (2 slices of bread with the center cut out and your eggs fried inside). Select 3 items from the appropriate Tag Alongside list and you have a full breakfast. My 3 sides were hash browns, 3 slices of ham, and to go along with that, 3 slices of spam (ham & spam, they rhyme all the time!) Delivered on 2 plates, I enjoyed making the food disappear. I'll have to admit, I was nicely surprised this morning after arriving and finding 3 tables with dining patrons. I selected a table back and away from the windows, able to take in much of the restaurant from my vantage point. Adorning the walls were pictures of Detroit in the past - one of the Boblo boats, Detroit's famed train station in its heyday, Vernor's Street sign and iconic Gnome - all this and more, pleasant memories of the past. Also found up by the kitchen were items of use years ago - hand tabulation machines, a mini juke box, an old grocery scale, and others. Their electric bread slicer is purported to be the oldest of its kind, but is still put to daily use. Getting back to my dining experience, a group of people converged upon Old School Deli and ruined my tranquility. I ain't too smart, but there were 3 more people than I could count using all of my fingers, and they all seemed to fit around the large table near me (since this is old school, I suppose they were seated 'cafeteria style'). Perhaps my tranquility was replaced with a warmth easily felt whenever a departing patron rang the school bell on the way out the door. It slipped my mind to do so myself, so I'll do it now - ring, ring! Their parking lot could use a touch-up, but don't let that deter you from paying them a visit when they're open. I don't remember all of the details, but discounts are given to older folks and active duty military, and perhaps others. I'll return as a repeat customer.

Call me crazy, but the pastrami is better than Katz deli in New York. Ill put money on it. Service is 10x better as well. This is the spot.

But they used to be so good, I was excited to get my carry out. It was terrible! Not just bad, almost inedible. I'm so disappointed. I asked for double ranch, I got double sour cream and No ranch. They couldn't even get that right.... These skins are tiny. Maybe 1 1/2" x 3" was the largest one. All but a few were nasty brown color, like they were sitting in some hot plate all day! Then they were soaking in grease, very poor quality unidentifiable cheese, and I think some stale baco's? It was not real bacon. They had no green onions, which might have been a blessing.... It's hard to describe. Absolutely the worst potato skins I've ever had! Gross is an understatement. I won't even give these to my dogs, I'm afraid it will make them sick! What a shame! How far you've fallen. Yours used to be the best potato skins around. They were Big beautiful Idaho potatoes with good cheddar cheese and real bacon, and always topped with green onions. I'm beyond sad... Stay clear of this place, if you value the condition of your stomach. Especially if you want to indulge in what used to be a delicious, carb heavy appetizer. I gave one star, just for the two unburnt ones I dared eat. Fingers crossed I don't get sick from those. Happy B-day to me. Side Note: thank goodness I had some Jets ranch. Feel like I wasted that too.

Service was horrible and shouldn't even have gotten $1 but gave $10.

Dan's Diner is a Stand Out. It's extremely high quality but what sets it apart is the special offerings on their menu First off, their omelettes are unique and incredible. If you want, they put a sauce on top of each one of them. I got the Italian Sausage omelette with Swiss Cheese and it was very very good. The Italian Sausage pieces were fresh, good size and high quality. The cheese was also high quality and plentiful What set it over the top though was the Mushroom Sauce they put on top of it. It was awesome! Very high quality mushroom cream sauce and it made an otherwise good omelette into a great one! Each omelette comes with either cheesy hasbrowns or regular hashbrowns and a pancake or toast. I don't eat bread but I got the cheesy hashbrowns and then added their hand cut French fries as an extra side Again, both went above and beyond typical diner fare, with the hash browns being extra crispy and well seasoned and the fries were crispy as well with a unique seasoning. Again, amongst diner food in the area, Dan's stood out and its prices were extremely fair for all the extras each omelette came with The location is great. It's a great sized restaurant with tons of booths and room. You're not stacked on top of each other here. I also like that there are a ton of windows at the restaurant. My service was incredible with multiple waitresses making sure that my coffee and water were filled. Each one of them was extremely pleasant. Food came out quickly. Highly recommend!
