I'd give this place 4.5 stars if I could. This was a welcoming experience. We got to experience different styles of coffee and pastries. The barista, Sidra, was great, she explained all the types of coffees and how they are prepared. We tried the Saudi coffee and Spanish latte with the honeycomb pastry. The atmosphere was relaxing. Yummy breakfast on a Saturday. Prices are good. Ordered the 1/2 order of biscuits and gravy and it was under $5. Everyone else in my party got omelettes and said they were really good. I took off one star for the wait, it was not bad for us, but it got longer for the people who arrived after us. Not the waitress's fault. She was moving every minute. The coffee tasted bad and the half and half creamer was old I believe because there were bits of creamer floating on the top that wouldn't stir in. The Omelette was just okay but had a strange taste to it at first. The English muffin had a weird tasting butter on it. The hash browns however were great! The service was just okay. We seated ourselves and waited until the server noticed us, which in her defense was the only one handling about 4 guests. They were scallop style and I really enjoyed them. At first I really wanted to rate this place two or three Stars because the hash browns were still really good and the food was just below average but after seeing the total rating of 4 stars I had to try and balance it out to a more fair rating. If you want better diner breakfast you're better off going to Haney's Family Restaurant just around the corner on Van Dyke. read more

Not the fanciest place around, but a good time was had by all. We came here because I was tired of picking the spots, and the boyfriend wanted to come here and I guess it's been around forever. It's not a huge place and located within a strip mall. You probably would pass it if you weren't looking for it. The place is sparsely decorated, and very bland on the inside. LOL. There was one server and cook working, but they seemed to be a very efficient team! Menu is slim but has really good options for breakfast and lunch. I went with the French toast and boyfriend had an omelet. We both really loved our food. Service was good to! I will say, there's a very regular old guy group that seems to frequent here, and we noticed right away. Don't try to pull anything funny when their around, because they mean business. Not scary by any stretch of the imagination, but these old dudes love coming here and everyone seems to know each other well. I would return here in a heartbeat but probably not be a regular. Nice waitress and great service. Good food & portion it comes with. Actually affordable! I will definitely go back. Only downside is that there is not much parking space and it's a very small dining area. I do not recommend it for big groups of 5+. I ordered a bacon cheese burger and grilled chicken sandwich. I was given the wrong burger and it was pretty bad. I would honestly rather prefer a McDouble. The burger was a small frozen patty. There was no way it was 1/4 pound or even close. The chicken sandwich was big but super soggy and basically tasted like the chicken was cooked in water. The food was cheap so i gave it 2 stars. I can't speak for their breakfast food which is probably good stuff. If you want a sandwhich you would be better off at McDonald's or Wendy's for the same price. read more

Wednesday 's they have coney combos for $1.98.(great deal) Well today I had my granddaughters, (3) so I ordered 3 combos ,but 2 of them don't like chili on their hotdogs. But they wanted them on their fries. The owner said no because he would have to use more Styrofoam. What the hell????? The hotdog and fries come in the same container!!!!! Just pour it on the fries instead of the hotdog!!!!!! Use your brain!!!!! So I argue with him, he says you want the chili it will cost you $1.75 EXTRA per combo for it!!!!!! This place is a hidden gem. My family and I heard about it from a friend and decided to give it a try. Great food. Great portions. Great prices. Friendly staff. THIS is that gem that's been hiding all these years! It's mainly a breakfast and light lunch restaurant and closes at 4:30 PM weekdays and 2:00 PM weekends. My wife and I have been there about six times recently and have never been disappointed...But wait: This morning we had the Belgian waffles with thick, plump, juicy strawberries and whipped cream that were (for lack of a better word) "FANTASTIC"! I eat at this restaurant every week and the waitress Christina is amazing and very friendly. She always remembers my order and always has a smile on her face. I highly recommend their reuben sandwich. Very good. Ask for thousand island dressing and you will not be disappointed. They have a special on coneys every Wednesday for 99 cents and I love them. The cook is very nice and I would recommend this place to anyone in the area. read more
