Sunday Breakfast Brunch with my honey while driving through Richmond, Michigan. Picked out a locals place with good ratings to try out. Place is obviously popular, very busy and the staff hopping. There are two different seating areas outside as well as inside. We were seated at an available table outside. The service was attentive and fast, water and coffee never ran dry. I ordered the healthy spinach scrabble with egg beaters and was pleasantly surprised at how tasty it was. My only criticism is that I was already half way through my meal before my husbands meal arrived, not sure why since he only ordered French toast and bacon. His French Toast was very nicely prepared. It's on my list for future visits when we are in the area once again.

GREAT Breakfast spot! Everything we got was amazing. The specials and choices all looked great! The staff was helpful and friendly! This is the perfect Sunday morning spot! Can't wait to come back and enjoy the service and food!

Mexican Skillet...yum!

My boyfriend recently moved to Richmond and we finally were able to check out the Village Cafe for breakfast. Definitely a local diner that all the locals meet at. Server knew a lot of the customers and looked like the owner was stopping by tables and catching up with regulars. Menu is huge and has a decent selection for breakfast and lunch. I opted for the potato pancake special, which came with three homemade potato pancakes (with your choice of sour cream or apple sauce), your choice of meat (ham, bacon or sausage links), your choice of eggs and your choice of toast. Our order came piping hot to our table very quickly. Food was wonderful. I ordered my eggs over hard, which can sometimes be a pain to make and there was perfect! The potato pancakes were delicious! I just wish they were slightly larger. There was about the size of silver dollar pancakes. I opted for ham as my meat and the piece of Virginia ham was quite large. The decor definitely makes me feel at home and reminds me of my grandmas cooking. Our server was one of the only ones in the restaurant so the service was spotty at times but she was very busy. We weren't able to get jelly for our toast. Can't wait to come back and try more breakfast items and come back for lunch too!

Creative, delicious entrees served in an environment with happy vibes by staff who seem to really enjoy what they do.

Attention all bike riders headed north on the Macomb Orchard Trail: you will definitely want to make it to Richmond and then treat yourself to a dining experience with owner Maria at this quaint, whimsical cafe. With both indoor and outdoor seating, the Village Cafe has a welcoming ambience and relaxed, happy vibes. Maybe it's the beach-like straw patio table shades, or the brightly colored butterflies swirling above your tables. The cafe is inviting, with the friendliest owner, Marie, and efficient, kind wait staff who genuinely seem to enjoy their jobs. Even the plates and bowls are original and fun. Be prepared to leave with a smile on your face. Each entree I saw leaving the kitchen looked fresh and appealing. I read positive reviews about the twice baked potato soup and was not disappointed. Flavorful with just the right texture and spices, it was warm and comforting. It took me a good 15 minutes to read the many offerings in the menu. After narrowing it down to a half dozen breakfast and sandwich choices, I decided on the Asiago Chicken Wrap. Warm and filling, the chicken tenders are made from scratch, and are perfectly crispy and tender. I asked to have the artichoke spread substituted for the ranch dressing. Great choice. I overheard another customer saying she could eat the spread by the spoonful. I agree. Very tasty. Maria is a gourmet quality chef who creates her own recipes, using the freshest ingredients. The results speak for themselves. Another reason to smile: the very reasonable bill. The wrap, generous bowl of soup and iced tea came to $11.00.

Richmond's best kept secret. If you are looking for a top notch breakfast, this is your place. One of my favorites!

Best breakfast and lunch around. The skillets and soup are always amazing. A must stop for anyone in northern Macomb county.

I had an omelette for breakfast, & was not impressed. I guess I'm spoiled from eating at the pantry & wildflower to much.

This place is more than a sandwich coffee shop, it's a place where special needs people get to work with the public & put their training they receive at the Centerline location to good use, preparing them for the workforce. There was only one gentleman from the training center working when we stopped in on Saturday, but he was so polite & boy o boy, he made some fabulous sandwiches! And I'll say, it's apparent they definitely received fantastic training because everything we received was delicious & top notch! First off, WOW is the inside of this establishment HUGE! Something I wasn't expecting. They have an area off to the right with a comfy couch & an oversized comfy chair to sit at while enjoying your coffee. You could also sit there & read a good book or work on your laptop/tablet. We got sandwiches for lunch & I'll start by saying they make most of (not sure if they make it all) their bread from scratch at their main locaiton in Centerline & transport it here. It's fresh & SO yummy! My friend got their reuben on homemade rye. She said it was delish. I got their turkey bacon wrap (minus the avocado), Both sandwiches were full of a LOT of meat & the bacon in mine was cooked fresh & the turkey was more like leftover Thanksgiving turkey, because it didn't taste & look like deli sliced turkey, which I always appreciate a real turkey sandwich. Both sandwiches came with a dill pickle spear as well. And they brought our sandwiches out to us in a nice to-go box with also bringing us paper plates & napkins. As for their prices, VERY reasonable, considering the quality of food we received as well as the presentation. They also do a small breakfast selection & even sell some of their homemade breads. Don't pass this place by if you're looking for a nice lunch, breakfast or just a cup of coffee (& they even have some of the fancier coffee options too!) becuase you won't be disappointed!

The ambiance is definitely nice -- it's the kind of place you'd want to sit in, study at, or hang out for a while. But once you actually get to the food and drinks, it's a different story. The service was okay. Everyone was friendly, but it took way too long for my order to come out -- especially considering all I got was avocado toast. And when it finally arrived, it was the blandest avocado toast I've ever had in my life. Zero flavor, no seasoning, nothing special about it at all. Their matcha was honestly bad, just not good at all. The boba was probably the best thing I had, and their coffee was just alright -- nothing worth going out of your way for. Overall, TAP Café feels way overhyped. The vibe is cool, the space is cute, but the food and drinks just don't live up to the aesthetic. If you're going for Instagram pictures or a chill place to sit, it works. If you're going for flavor or quality, it's disappointing.

Unfortunately, due to the historic nature of the building, the upstairs seating area is only accessible by stairs. Quaint, charming café that serves lunchtime treats, coffee, and pastries. The hot cocoa is divine! I really like the literary/"dark academia" vibes and decor, as well as the many cute birdie knick-knacks roosting about the space. Service was friendly and unrushed, I felt free to linger and enjoy at my leisure. I will make it a point to stop in here whenever I pass through Port Huron! I dropped in during the week and there was zero-wait for a table, although I imagine the place probably bustles on weekends!

But the wiatress confidently told me that they only had the soups listed on the menu, until I took a picture of the board, and she asked kinda rudely if I wanted to change my order. But no aknoledgment of her error. I aksed about the total amount of soup in the sampler versus the meal size because i was hoping to try different soups as my meal. But no one could tell me other than by usig their hands how big the portions were. I ordered the mushroom brie soup. It was bland. Icould not detect the Brie from the cream that was added and based on the brown color there likely wasn't much brie. It was very salty to the point that I couldn't eat much of it.
