We had an absolutely awesome experience tonight…read more We started at the Duluth Huskies stadium (Wade Stadium) and enjoyed a behind the scenes tour of the field, locker room, and grounds, we were also treated to stories about the history of the team. The general manager was our tour guide... he was one of the friendliest and knowledgeable people I've ever met! The stadium and team are rich with history, even down to the bricks they used to erect the entrance to the field. Dave was our bus driver and tour guide for the night. After the stadium tour he took us to Bent Paddle where we were able to samples some brews and enjoy the atmosphere, what a cool place! Their beers are outstanding! The 14 degrees ESB is a GABF (Great American Beer Festival) winner! I would highly recommend trying it. There's an awesome BBQ joint that will deliver to the tasting room too! We ended the night back at the stadium with a Huskies' baseball game. The won in walkoff fashion! It was a great game! We are looking foreword to another tour. I was in Duluth for my brother's wedding and didn't know anything about the city or the area. I was with my then-boyfriend and we knew it was a beautiful area, but wasn't sure the best way to experience it all. That is when I booked us on the Scenic North Shore Bicycle Tour. It was by far the best thing we did in Duluth (minus watching my brother get married,ha) and we were raving about it to all the weddings guests all weekend. The guys running the show were great to talk to and they clearly thought of everything. If you are traveling to Duluth and want to really have the best tour guides, book with them.

Says it can fit 7 (depending on size and weight), but I'd rather not share with more than one other couple. Neither of us had ever been in a sea plane before...pretty cool how easy it took off and how smooth the landing was despite a little chop on the bay. Next time I think we would bring a picnic and games for the park, maybe a suit for the beach. Seemed like the best beach in the area with respect to the sand, view and secluded nature.

The take-off and landing was super smooth and the plane was comfortable for me, my wife, 9 yr old and 3 yr old. The trip lasted for almost 45 mins and John took us through many area of Duluth and Superior. He shared details about every area, rich history and how it is today. The best part we liked about him is his liver to serve the customer. He was always looking to find an opportunity that will make the tour more memorable. He saw that a ship was going to the bridge and he timed it properly to ensure we can see and take as many pictures of the ship crossing the bridge from true 360.

Checkin and check out is easy. We had good email and text instructions before arrival. The grounds were well maintained. Seems like there is a lot to do right at the campground with the recreation equipment already on sight, also fishing or kayaking in the river. I'd stay here again without doubt, and honestly I'm on the picker side!

I have Platinum status and had requested to use one of my suite nights for an upgrade. With status they will also upgrade you if a room is available. Neither had happened when I checked in despite lots of upgrade rooms being available. When I asked at check in the desk clerk did upgrade us to a slight harbor view. This is the third hotel in a row where I haven't been upgraded when a hotel has plenty of upgrade rooms available. The room had mold in the shower. The rest of the room was clean. Kudos to the desk clerk who obtained extra pillows for us as I needed them for an arm injury. Breakfast was very basic. Free parking and it was well lit.

In a short, sub 10-minute walk from the hotel, you are in the thick of restaurants and bars. We also enjoyed the small hotel pool. Yes, the beach is across the street but it was nice to jump in the water and let the kids burn some energy. The room was nice enough. It is not a fancy place, but it seems pretty new, so everything was in great working order. Bed was comfy and the shower was hot. They also had a free breakfast and plenty of parking, too.

Girl trip time!!! Three college friends decide to celebrate a new decade, career celebrations and…read more30+ years of friendship by booking a trip to Mexico for sun, tequila, food and fun. We used AAA Travel to book an all inclusive resort trip to Cancun. The travel agent, Lisa Gilbert, was awesome to work with. She listened to our budget and wish list items. She provided us with several options that met all of those. We decided to book a new property (Haven Riviera Cancun) and it was amazing. On our next to last day, Minnesota was predicted to be hit with a major storm that would affect our travels. We contacted Lisa to see if we should rebook in anticipation of potential delays. She agreed and immediately went to work for us. She managed to rebook our flights (extending our vacation another day...yay!!), extend our stay at the resort (in the same room) and rescheduled our transfers. She made what could have been a very stressful last day of vacation into a worry-free relaxation day! I cannot say enough about her professionalism, communication and making a girl's trip as relaxing as possible! There is a reason why you hire a travel agent to plan your vacation! I had an AMAZING experience with Barb at Alamo Rent a Car in the Duluth,MN Airport 10/12/18. I had…read morejust got off of a plane at 11:30pm and was tired from traveling. I was stressed out because the reason for my trip was quite stressful. Anywho- I had booked a car with Budget and tried to get my vehicle but the young man at the counter was so rude to me, inconsiderate and not helpful at all. Turns out there are some new rules at Budget that hinder a car rental unless you have a credit card. The young man wasn't even going to tell me that Alamo could help me so I would've been stranded in a strange place, all alone- what a butthead! Thankfully I walked down the line and saw sweet Barb who greeted me with a smile and promptly helped me and gave me a free upgrade to an SUV since the weather up north was showing snow. Barb helped me to start my journey off on the right foot and she made me feel cared for, safe and like she actually wanted to make sure her customer was treated with respect. Barb is AMAZING at what she does and I was just so thankful and appreciative of her understanding and hospitable nature. Barb is a big asset to Alamo Rent A Car, she will make your experience easy, quick and even fun with her kind words! She really cares about her customers and that is a great employee!
