We had an absolutely awesome experience tonight. We started at the Duluth Huskies stadium (Wade Stadium) and enjoyed a behind the scenes tour of the field, locker room, and grounds, we were also treated to stories about the history of the team. The general manager was our tour guide... he was one of the friendliest and knowledgeable people I've ever met! The stadium and team are rich with history, even down to the bricks they used to erect the entrance to the field. Dave was our bus driver and tour guide for the night. After the stadium tour he took us to Bent Paddle where we were able to samples some brews and enjoy the atmosphere, what a cool place! Their beers are outstanding! The 14 degrees ESB is a GABF (Great American Beer Festival) winner! I would highly recommend trying it. There's an awesome BBQ joint that will deliver to the tasting room too! We ended the night back at the stadium with a Huskies' baseball game. The won in walkoff fashion! It was a great game! We are looking foreword to another tour. Hi - This review is a little late, but I am still thinking about the amazing tour I went on last summer, so I knew I had to sit down and write a review. I was in Duluth for my brother's wedding and didn't know anything about the city or the area. I was with my then-boyfriend and we knew it was a beautiful area, but wasn't sure the best way to experience it all. That is when I booked us on the Scenic North Shore Bicycle Tour. It was by far the best thing we did in Duluth (minus watching my brother get married,ha) and we were raving about it to all the weddings guests all weekend. The guys running the show were great to talk to and they clearly thought of everything. If you are traveling to Duluth and want to really have the best tour guides, book with them. read more

In Duluth for work, decided to do a fun activity the night before flying out- Curling and Brews! What a fun group, trip leaders, and time!! Curling was an absolute blast and the Duluth Curling Club President was even our instructor! Then off to Ursa Minor Brewery for brewery tour, beer tasting, and woodfire pizza. Mountain Biking on the Traverse with David! Small group- perfect for Beginners! David spends time fitting the bike and making sure you are comfortable on the bike before heading out. The trail is a challenge if you are used to more level terrain. The views are incredible! We did the The Scenic North Shore Bicycle Tour. It consisted of a 22 mile bike ride along the North Shore. After arriving in two harbors we found a shaded spot by the lake and were served lunch from Vanilla Bean Restaurant in Two Harbors. Dave drove us to our start point and than meet up with us at our 22 mile mark with our lunch. Chad was our tour guide and was an amazing gentleman. He carried a bag that had water for everyone, snacks, and a first aid kit. This was the best experience I have encounter as a guided tour! I highly ... Highly recommend it!!! read more

Had Nick as our tour guide for a night time walking tour and really enjoyed our 2-hour experience with him! The group was intimate (6 people total) and the perfect size to stroll around the Canal Park area. Nick was really knowledgable about the darker history of Duluth. Keep in mind, this isn't like a scary, haunted version of Duluth - more of a background on Duluth, some supposed hauntings, some notable deaths, and occasional disappearances in the area. Definitely nothing that will keep you up at night. The tour began at 8pm and we had great lighting (because of the wonderful summer weather!) most of the tour. We made a loop around, so there were definitely some parts of the tour that weren't very scenic, but Nick compensated by being a wealth of information. We pretty much walked nonstop at a comfortable pace for the 2 hours, so wear comfy shoes! Also, Nick very thoughtfully had water bottles and snacks ready for everyone! read more

My husband and I took a weekend trip to Duluth for our 1-year anniversary. We couldn't recommend the Duluth Experience enough! We booked both the Saturday night brewery tour and Sunday afternoon kayaking tour. Guides on both tours were highly knowledgeable, kind and helpful. Not only did they share great information about the places visited on the tour, but also gave great advice for the rest of our trip. If you're an outdoorsy person, you should book them. If you're a nightlife person, you should book them. If you're a wannabe outdoorsy person, you should book them (I greatly appreciate their patience in our 4-hour long kayaking tour... My two friends and I went on an awesome kayaking trip this summer at through the Glensheen tour!! Our tour guide was Jess, and she was very knowledgable, friendly, and fun. She definitely made our experience exponentially better. She deserves a raise! :) I would 10/10 recommend booking a trip with the Duluth Experience. My husband and I had Nick for our guide yesterday for kayaking. The entire experience was first class. It was very well run, clean, on time, good lunch and lots of water for everyone. We did the brewery tour a couple years ago and it was also wonderful. We will be back for more tours. read more

We took their beer tour. Our tour guides were Bud and Al. They were super knowledgeable about Duluth and about the process of making beer. They were able to answer all of our questions and they took us to three fabulous breweries! The first was Lake Superior and the brewmaster Charlie explained every step in the process of making beer to us. We had many samples of the different types of beers that they make and it was an amazing tour. Next we went to Thirsty Pagan Brewery. The owner Steve took us around his operation and explained the ins and outs of owning a brewery and a pizzeria. Again we had many samples of the different Brews and at the end of the tour we had a pizza which was fabulous! Our last stop was at Fitger's.. Al worked there and we got a fantastic tour again with the opportunity to try many of their different types of beer. I've never been on a beer tour with two such knowledgeable guys to explain not only the process of msking beer, but also giving us insight to the city of Duluth. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who comes to the Duluth area! read more

My husband and I took the Duluth Historic Walking Tour this past Saturday with Ben, our tour guide. It turned out that we were the only ones on the tour, which we loved. Ben was very knowledgeable about Duluth and it was obvious he's a huge fan of the city. He was able to answer all our questions, share lots of interesting facts about the city's rich history, and point out some "secret" spots I never knew existed! We had a great time snowshoeing with The Duluth Experience!! We had a group of 18 women and the guides were so accommodating to our large group and varying levels of experience. We snowshoed up a river at sunset and it was beautiful. Just the right amount of fresh air, a good workout, laughter, and challenge. Great tour! The guide and driver were very nice. I brought two ladies with developmental disabilities, and they accommodated us very well. The guide was knowledgeable and gave us good insight about the history of Duluth. We self-toured the Glensheen mansion, which was very beautiful. The rooms had various guides to provide additional information. We had an hour to tour the mansion and see the grounds, which included a view of the lake and creek. We also had roughly the same time to explore the interesting William A. Irvin ship, a guided tour. We drove by the lake and saw some lovely mansions. We were able to get out at the top off a hill to view the city and lake. read more

We went on the TGIF brewery tour and had a wonderful time!! The guides were full of knowledge in between breweries and the brew masters at each stop treated us fabulously! Loved the snacks and water on the bus to keep the vibe away from the 'party bus' atmosphere. There was a good mix of breweries too; from the smaller scale local brewery that seems to try all kinds of different variations to the larger scale local breweries with a larger distribution base. They all had their niches and it was awesome to learn how each one does their own thing and makes it work. read more
