I sent a message via Yelp on a Sunday night and they immediately scheduled our oven troubleshooting for Monday afternoon. Their front office staff is incredibly responsive! George (technician) arrived timely and was very thorough. He explained things to me every step of the way. He is approaching this very methodically - ok, so it's not the igniter, let's look at the next link in the chain... I saw George called out by name in other Yelp reviews, and I understand why he comes so highly recommended! He called the manufacturer to discuss his findings, but the manufacturer tech team wasn't available. He let me know he would be calling them again in the morning and that he would reach out to me with an update. I've had plenty of negative or so-so experiences with other service technicians from other companies. This experience with George / Astera is so positive that I'm posting my review even before the service is completed. Astera will be getting first crack at all of my appliance and HVAC service calls going forward.

I then got no less than 10 phone calls saying "please give us a call so we can talk about your situation. Some called more than once. Through yelp, I received several offers, with a large rate range. I spoke with Martin from MET services whose estimate was what I expected based on the amount of time I thought it would take. He told me what he would do, about how long it would take and what he would charge. This all happened yesterday. Martin showed up today and lowered the price (which was already reasonable compared with the other rates). He was professional, friendly, very knowledgeable and honest and got my mini split up and running in no time. He even took the time to show me how to use the remote. The service technician came to the unit, serviced our furnace and AC in prompt and efficient manner and offered (but didn't push) on recommending changes to our HVAC to make it work better. This would be a 5 star review but: (1) PLEASE get rid of the AI agent for calls. It is unhelpful and not personalized to manage HVAC calls. (2) If you're not going to make the scheduled window, that is okay BUT please phone ahead that you're going to be late. Prices were fair for a weekend service but certainly not cheap for an AC repair (~$400).

The polite, knowledgeable tech did make the air coming out of the registers cold again (thank you!!!), but my original problem remains: there is not enough power in my current system to cool my house efficiently and sufficiently. Already getting worried about the 5+ days we have coming up of 90+ degrees F weather. My AC will run constantly that entire period because it will never be able to keep up with the sun bake and my high ceilings, WHICH I KNEW FROM THE JUMP, PEOPLE! Hence my original inquiry with Four Seasons. Their marketing team did an excellent job convincing me this was a family-owned and operated local business, but I think it's much too big to adequately service the customers it has. I have a full-time job and can't be on the phone with robots for almost two hours in a day.
