this company is a fruad. they took my money through american home shield and never came to service my house. their technician called and said he would come out and never showed up. he put in a ticket to the ahs stating the job was complete and he never came. i highly recommend anyone getting a call form this specific company to refuse the service! read more

Josh gave us an appointment window, but called to amend the time when an earlier service call had extensive complications. I appreciate this courtesy, which demonstrates that they value their customer's time. Josh from Water Control Plumbing came prepared and was very professional. After Chicago lifted the mask mandate he came wearing a mask which is much appreciated. I was assigned this company through AHS (home warranty company) to have my toilet and shower faucets addressed - both were leaking. Josh efficiently identified that I needed 2 new parts, he replaced them, and my leaks are fixed. Throughout the process Josh was very personable and explained what he was doing and why. AHS does not pay for caulk replacement (the caulk at the base of my toilet had to be removed to replace the wax ring) but Josh explained to me how to do it and which products to try. I just had a really great experience with Sean and Josh. They expertly and professionally diagnosed the leak in my kitchen faucet and were able to get and install a brand new replacement from the manufacturer. I would not have known that my previous faucet was under a lifetime warranty without them. They were also very communicative and responsive - and I found this refreshing especially having dealt with other less responsive service providers in the past. Highly recommended! read more

Same day service! I filed a claim with AHS and they called me seconds after (not exaggerating) and scheduled for someone to come within the hour. Josh arrived on time, wearing a mask (and kept it on the whole time) and was very professional. My kitchen sink needed to be rodded out and he took his time and got the job done. I had an emergency (going on 2 weeks), as another plumbing service was assigned through my AHS warranty. Needless to say, the company they assigned was awful, bad reviews, only showed up once and said they would be back, they never returned. I had a severe kitchen leak, kitchen cabinet under the sink is now pretty much destroyed. I kept following up with AHS to get my issue taken care (5 calls) and refused to go with the original company, Aaron's Plumbing, they assigned Water Control, Sean called me Saturday evening, said he would be there Sunday morning, not only did he reassure me I would be taken care of, he showed up and fixed everything. Very reliable and trustworthy, he even provided his cell number for any questions, etc.... Great job and I highly recommend! read more

American Home Shield sent out Water Control Plumbing to address an unidentified leak in our ceiling. Joshua arrived on time and was very professional. He immediately identified that the leak was caused by a failing wax ring on the toilet in the bathroom above. He had brought a replacement wax ring with him, so he replaced it right then and there for me. Joshua was really quick, too. I called AHS in the morning, and he arrived by noon. For plumbing issues and leaks, having a quick response time is so important. It's a small company, just Joshua and Sean, and they really take pride in their work and customer satisfaction. read more

With the recent Chicago freeze, we had a pipe burst on us. Sean was incredibly honest with us in how his company would work with our home warranty company (AHS). Sean ended up saving us money that would not have been covered by AHS. Since I had such confidence in him and the work he did for us, I asked him to help me figure out what was wrong with my toilets and Sean taught me about how different store brands from HD are the same exact product as the big name ones. I had to find a plumber in an emergency situation, but ended up finding one that I could trust to help me with all my planned future plumbing needs. read more

I was instructed to call this joke of a company this morning after being directed to Sean at Water Control Plumbing by my home warranty (which is another issue all together). Regardless. Sean answered initially right away, said he'd call back in 10 minutes. Spoke with him again. He agreed to come out at 11 AM today. 3 hours past the 11 AM arrival, and multiple phone calls to his "office" which is an automated system that sends him messages, and never a reply. I call into American Home Shield and they notify me that despite my initial conversation with him and his agreement to come out, he cancelled the work order on his end and refused to come. Now I'm referred back to American Home Shield. They of course don't offer to call me and tell me the contractor has changed, and I have no communication. So now my expedited service will be pushed to tomorrow. This is an incredibly poor example of how to operate a business. Stay away. read more

This company is by far the best plumbing company I've ever had the experience of hiring. They are very detailed oriented. They explain not only the problem but how to avoid relatively similar issues in the future. Water Control is a vendor of American Home Shields. Because American Home Shields don't pay that much, Waterworks will cut corners on more complex jobs to make money or not show up at an appointment at all. Once American Home Shield pays them, if there are a defect in workmanship, good luck finding them. I would not recommend Water Control Plumbing for complex issues. He offered me a same day appointment and said he would call within an hour of his arrival, which he did. He arrived on-time and was wearing an identification badge, which I appreciated as I have had experiences with other AHS contractors who did not. He assessed my minor plumbing issue, made the necessary repairs to stabilize it, and ordered replacement parts from manufacturer to complete the job. read more
