Specific had come out to my home before, a few years ago, and did a great job fixing the central air unit, but I couldn't remember the name of the company and I couldn't find the receipt. So I called another place. Huge mistake. They came out and said the whole thing was no good and couldn't be fixed, then they sent a salesman out, who quoted me $7,700 for a new one. Well, I'm old but I'm not stupid. I sent him on his way and searched frantically for the old receipt from Specific Heating and Air Conditioning. I found it and called immediately. Andy came out right away, looked at the unit and said, "Yeah, I think I should be able to fix it," which he did in a very short amount of time. Perfectly. I am now sitting in my living room with nice cold air blowing on me and I am a very happy old girl, all because of this awesome repairman and Specific. Andy was professional, pleasant, fair and very knowledgeable. I will never call anyone else.

The fire department was called and we (me, my wife, and our 3 kids) were without heat on a 20 degree night. The following morning I made a few inquiries just hoping to get something scheduled and I was surprised to find they had someone available almost immediately. The estimate fee (only $75) was waived once Andy informed us what we needed, 1 hour later our house went from 65 degrees to a comfortable 74. Thank you so much. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND them.

The company then quoted me $2200 as the cost to replace it and reiterated that this did not include the $99 that they already charged me. So yes, had I gone with that company, it would have cost me $2300. Armed with this information, I posted pictures and exactly what the "diagnosis" said and asked for emailed quotes...to be clear I said EMAIL only. I then got no less than 10 phone calls saying "please give us a call so we can talk about your situation. Some called more than once. Lakeland Heating and Cooling (Jason) was nothing like that... $1270 flat rate to replace the water heater. Yes, thats how he replied in his email.. as I requested. He came in.. with the water heater... replaced it... and went on his way. Other companies, that followed directions, also came in higher than $2000. I am EXTREMELY satisfied with Jason and Lakeland!
