I take all of my knives and scissors and anything else I can find around my house to be sharpened. I even took a carpet cutter to him!! I take all of my knives to him at least every six months. He is fast and always does a great job. His prices are reasonable and it only took him a couple of hours do some my knives a couple of weeks ago. He also does serrated knives. When I've used this business in the past the product was never an issue. GREAT job, fast and reasonably priced. However, I've made the 40 minute roundtrip drive twice only to find a hand written note and a closed shop. Once, Greg was on vacation, and today he had a doctors appointment. I understand you have to take care of yourself boss man, but from a business standpoint, that's weak sauce. From a personal standpoint, he clearly doesn't care about or respect his customers time. My kitchen knives were so dull I couldn't cut hardly anything, so I gathered up every knife and took them to Greg's. I walked in with no appointment, no prior phone call, and he sharpened all ten of my knives, including two serated (bread knives) in less than thirty minutes! These aren't fancy, high dollar knives just the ones I've picked up here and there, and he manages to put an incredibly sharp edge on them. He even individually wraps them up after sharpening to ensure safe transport. This is the second time Greg has sharpened my knives, and I'll be back when my knives inevitably dull again. Found this gem of a place by a fluke but I love it instantly. First the place is very simple and very mom and pop feel. I walked in with my block set and the gentleman helped me immediately. He was very Nice and took over my block set. Asked what I wanted sharpened and even asked about the sheers inside the block. He did 5 knives and sheers for about $33. Quoted me a time to return and said he'd call or he'd be open till 6. He called right before the given time, maybe about hour and fifteen min later and they were ready. My knives have came back to life and I love how they cut. He also gave me a reward card for coming which I will definitely return because sometimes sharpening my own knives is a pain. read more

I dropped off my 3 clipper blades for sharpning. He charged $13.50 for each, which is pricier than average for clipper blades sharpning. I went pick them up but no of them were sharp. I called him, and he told me he wanted to redo. He was very confident but 1 of them were dull even after the redo. Other one went dull within 3 days. I made 5 trips to his shop for nothing. Great experience and nice sharp old scissors! Came in around 3 pm when Greg was sharpening in the back. Hollered so he would know so one was there and he came right out. He looked them over and said their alignment was still good so they could be sharped and tightened. Work like new and extremely affordable. Gregs a good guy, great customer service, and very reasonable prices. I give 5 stars for that. When it comes to sharpening my knife, I will say its average to below average. I brought in a couple of knives to get sharpened by greg. They come out slightly sharper than before but not much. I tried basic cutting task and it wasn't much different in cutting. Also I see burn marks on the knives which means its been put on the belt sander with no period of stoppage or cooling down the blade. He doesn't do any reprofiling on knives. I took the same knife to another knife sharpening service that uses a wet belt grinder, whetstone, and reprofile if necessary. It was a night and day difference. They cost a couple of bucks more but was worth it. read more
