Super friendly, quick to respond. Sharp knives renewed my love of them. Tio even waited patiently for me to respond to his "ready" text (which I didn't notice because I was on a phone call). I will definitely use him again! read more

Amazing work. Stopped by the pop up shop in North Park. Got 7 knives sharpened in about 15-20 mins. Went home started chopping some vegetables. That first slice was so smooth and every slice after that was butter. Definitely recommend. read more

As most of you know, I absolutely adore writing reviews for stellar local businesses, and the review that I'm writing as we speak (read) for Tio Mobile Knife Sharpening is exactly that, a stellar local business. I have a thing for Japanese knives, if you know you know. These knives are by far some of the best in the world and as an aspiring home cook and someone who watches way too much Food Network I know that the most dangerous tool in the kitchen is a dull knife, not a sharp one. Because of this I needed a new sharpening service to get me dialed in for Christmas. That prime rib ain't going to cut itself! Here is the thing, everything that you've read about Tio's is absolutely true. The man is extremely friendly, his work is top-shelf, his prices are beyond reasonable, and he works quickly if you have an appointment. I needed four knives sharpened (all Japanese) and it took about 30 minutes or so, mostly because I was talking his ear off and learning about his business and skillset. I've never been so interested in watching someone apply a piece of steel to a wet stone before. Well, watching Tio work is like watching Picasso put brush to canvas. His work is stellar! As you can clearly tell, I'm a fan and now a loyal customer! read more

I am so impressed with this business! Tio was professional and did a fabulous job. The pricing is very fair and his knowledge of his craft is truly impressive. I highly recommend Tio. read more

Hands down one of the nicest most ethical small businesses I've come across in a long time. Tio took the time to fix the blades on my shears/scissors as I tried to sharpen them myself with a kitchen sharpener. He salvaged one really bad mess up and sharpened the other and literally put the nicest edge on my best kitchen knife. This guy knows what he's doing. He takes the time and he charges an amazing price. Give him a tip because he's well worth it. I will be referring him to everyone who asks. read more

Adalberto, i stumbled across and was in need of knife sharpening. He has a pop up in front of CVS on University and 32nd. Amazing service, and fast service. i highly recommend visiting. The knives came out super sharp even with serrated knives. He also sharpens garden tools and scissors read more

What an easy and simple process! Thanks for the great service and my knives are back to being like new!

Fast response time. Next day appointment. Very communicative. Punctual-- arrives to your home on time. Honest-- didn't try and over-sell me on knives that were already pretty sharp. Will be using his services again and would recommend him to others who want sharper and safer knives. read more

Absolute treat to find this useful service. Tio is amazing and works fast enough you won't need to be far away from your tools for more than a few minutes. Brought in two large, 2 medium & 4 small knives. Plan on bringing more tools to get sharpened soon. Being mobile is a huge plus when you have a lot of knives. read more

As always, my knives are sharp and ready for the holidays! Great, friendly service. You couldn't pick anyone better for this task!

This company absolutely deserves all its 5-star reviews. Tio responded promptly to my questions. I took about 8 knives and two scissors for sharpening. I'm embarrassed to admit that although I spend good $$ for knives, I don't care for them properly. But it had become so tedious to chop veggies or anything else that I finally went on Yelp to find a good sharpener. Not only did Tio do a FABULOUS job, he was very QUICK and very REASONABLE and very COURTEOUS. He's a real professional. And it's fun to cook again!! read more

SUPER nice guy Very responsive On time Quick sharpening, but still quality work Honest about how often knives need to be sharpened (not just trying to get another job/money) Overall great knife sharpening! Already referred him to another person! read more

Tio is mobile but also opened a store front near 70th and El Cajon Blvd. His service is very affordable and fast! He does great work. As he suggested, it makes sense: Get knives sharpened as needed versus waiting until your whole set is full (like we did) it's like the knives are new again! I had forgotten how easy prep is with great, sharp knives. It was significantly more economical to bring them in. Make an appointment that works for you (during his hours) Communication was mainly by text and it was always fast. I am so happy to have found Tio Mobile Knife Sharping. I was thrilled to see I could bring them in versus making him come way out to Scripps Ranch. It was worked out terrific for me! read more

Tio is amazing. He just sharpened a bunch of the residents knives in our building downtown. He sharpened a whole set of German JA Henckels knives plus a whole set of Japanese Shun knives. Alberto was fantastic! He showed up 5 min early, was incredibly friendly, and sharpened 5 shun japanese kitchen knives, two pocket knives, and a pair of scissors in about a half hour. I am so pleased with the fantastic job Tio did for us. He sharpened three expensive, 13 year old Japanese carbon steel knives, three inexpensive Japanese knives, two twenty year old German paring knives and a serrated Oxo Good Grips knife for under $50!! I feel so much more confident in the kitchen now! He came to the house spot on time and was done in less than 25 minutes. Tio even told me the pair of scissors I thought needed sharpening wouldn't improve with sharpening, saving us a little cash! Tio is the guy I'll be calling in the future read more
