Wow, what do I even say? These people are absolutely amazing! From the time we called until my car was finished it was about 3 hours. Oscar came out and fixed the car, he was incredibly knowledgeable and very good at what he does. The owner was incredibly accommodating, and they went above and beyond. I have literally never in my life had car repair go so smoothly and so quickly and for such an excellent price. I will definitely call them again if I have any other work I need done. Greg and Houston are great guys with lots of auto knowledge. They came out today and replaced an AC compressor for my son's car after an auto shop said I needed a new engine. The auto shop said my engine was seized up and needed to be replaced. It ended up being the AC compressor was seized which would not let the belt turn. They arrived on time and did the job quick. Very fair pricing! Would definitely recommend. read more

My friend had some car issues and was given Gregs number, she said the mechanic she got was very knowledgeable and had her car going in no time. So, the follow day I needed help with my son's car and called on Gregs mobile mechanic as well. I needed to replace the starter which I had bought. Greg came out himself and I met him where my son's care was located, even though it was raining by the time I got there it had stop, just a few drops were coming down and he said he would put the starter in considering the weather! I timed Greg and he was fast maybe 25 min, however, my son had taken out the battery and I asked him if he could kindly place it back and he was more than happy to do it. ( Well I guess he had too so we could see if the car would start) Thank you Greg for your prompt help, I will gladly pass you along to my friends. His pricing was reasonable and affordable. I would call on him again! Mary :) read more

Greg's Mobile Mechanic - Clean engine Up and running Just missing a New Air Pump which was Diagnosed by Greg to be seized up He showed me before and after Very trust - Auto Repair Near Me

Greg's Mobile Mechanic is a great choice if you are in need of a PPI or pre-purchase inspection on a used vehicle! He really provided five-star service and was very thorough about the inspection of a used car we were buying from a Porsche dealership! Look no further for a mechanic and make sure that you contract Greg to perform the inspection of your vehicle as I've had other vehicle inspectors but none of them were as thorough or professional as Greg! We met Greg on a Saturday at the dealership and he was prompt and on time. We were able to put the vehicle on a lift and Greg did a inspection of the underside everything included, under the hood with a full inspection underneath there, a full electronic diagnostic of the computer history on the car and also, he performed a thorough investigation based on the Carfax report. He was able to provide us a clean bill of health and pointed out any minor deficiencies on the vehicle. He was absolutely courteous and professional not only with us but also with the staff members at the dealership. I believe that Greg has a very extensive knowledge and understanding of vehicles talking to him about his history as a mechanic. He is definitely detail-oriented and provides all the tools necessary for a proper vehicle inspection. Overall, two BIG thumbs up and his services earned every five of the Google five stars! Look no further and contract Greg to come out and inspect your potential used vehicle as I believe he provided an A++ service! Thank you to Greg and we are absolutely happy with our purchase knowing that we have the confidence of owning a used vehicle! read more

I had a great experience with Greg's. They came out the same day I called, were able to get the parts my vehicle might need, and were upfront and fair in their pricing. They quickly diagnosed the issue my Honda was having. I appreciated their patience in asking questions, inspecting my vehicle and explaining what they found! It was exactly the service I was needing and they delivered quickly and courteously. I will absolutely call them again when I need auto help in the future. read more

Quick quality service at a fair price. Cost was told upfront. Would definitely recommend

Thank you Greg for the prompt service on mobile car battery replacement. Honest and reasonable.

I found Mr. Greg in yelp and google. I first started getting quotes around town for changing my brakes and rotors for my Audi a4 and some of the prices I was getting quoted back were double of what Greg was asking which I thought was outrageous. I read all of his reviews and was confident in my decision to go with Greg. Greg is a very professional, hospitable man with high knowledge of his field in car mechanics. He understood the job and even though he doesn't typically work on European cars he took on changing my brakes and rotors for me. I can't express enough how grateful I am for finding Greg and his at home mechanical services. I would highly recommend booking him if you ever need any services on your car. He even took the time to show my son a few things about cars because my son got so excited. 10/10 you won't regret it! read more

I'm so grateful to have Greg help me in providing a pre-purchase inspection on a pre owned vehicle I hoped to buy. The great part about this experience is Greg was able to come straight to my home in record time! I called around to several other auto shops and kept getting long wait times and over priced quotes. Greg arrived on time and completed a thorough inspection of the vehicle. He was extremely knowledgable and honest when it came to this entire process. His rates are fair and he was so trustworthy, I have recommended his services to my friends in the area. If you are looking for a master mechanic who will take great care of your needs, look no further! You're in good hands with Greg. read more

If you're reading this, stop looking at other mechanics right now and give Greg a call. Greg and his team did an amazing job fixing the problem we had with our car's suspension. Not only was he incredibly communicative, he truly expressed great care in ensuring our issue was remedied. The other amazing reviews you see are a true testament to the quality of work provided. His price is affordable, and he'll also provide cheaper options if they're available for the situation you're dealing with. read more

I'm so glad I found Greg. When my check engine light came on, I was dreading finding a good mechanic shop that was trustworthy and reasonably priced that could get me in in a timely manner. Our car battery died Sunday and my wife had an important dr. appointment early Monday. I tried to replace the battery myself but it was practically unreachable in my old Ford Escape. I thought to Google Mobile Mechanics near me and Greg's listing was the first to appear. Turns out he lives right in our neighborhood. We spoke on the phone and he was at the house in 20 minutes. He had an Autoparts rep deliver the battery to him and installed it in less than an hour. He was professional and easy to talk to. The cost was reasonable and we will definitely reach out to Greg anytime we have an automobile issue. read more

Reliable being an understatement, Greg was quick and efficient. He never missed a phone call or text message and arrived on the day and time agreed upon. He was easily able to diagnose and treat the issue, going so far as to clear the faulty signals on my dash that never seemed to want to go away. Don't hesitate to call Greg. He is very knowledgeable. He actually diagnosed my current problem over the phone. He completed a throttle body cleaning. It now starts beautifully and runs smoothly. His prices are very reasonable. This is the second time I've requested his service. He came to my house in August and installed a blower motor in my a/c in 100 degree heat! In April, my class c camper based on a Ford super duty van broke its 3 piece driveshaft and left me on the side of the highway and it has been a nightmare since. I needed help installing the rebuilt driveshaft back into the van and called Greg once I found I couldn't do it alone. Greg came out the next morning first thing, even though it was the 4th of July, and we were able to assemble the driveshaft and bolt it into place. Ran an hour test drive this morning and it is working great, no noises or vibrations at all. Greg and I texted back and forth and we spoke on the phone. Greg quoted me a price which I thought was on the high side, but we never really talked about negotiating the price. What caused me not to hire Greg was his claim to be a Certified Master Mechanic with several decades in the trade and that the price he quoted me to replace the rear brake shoes on a 1994 GMT400 would have been less expensive had I not removed the pad from both rear wheels. Greg dd tell me he hadn't performed this routine maintainance in over 15 years, maybe he only worked on foreign cars. It sounded to me like he wanted to overcharge me for some OJT? read more

Greg's Mobile Mechanic - Auto Repair Near Me

I was having issues with my car not starting and it was parked in my apartment's garage. Rather than having to go the route of calling a tow truck, Greg came directly to my car. Not only was he very nice and helpful, but he took the time to thoroughly explain what was happening and what needed repair. His rates were extremely affordable and he was very accommodating of my schedule, making the entire experience very convenient. He even followed up to make sure everything was running smoothly. I highly recommend you give him a call for any repairs you may need. read more

Greg offered to come work on my car on a Sunday, and even performed the repairs in a carport while raining! I called quite a few places and couldn't find any auto Mechanic to check my Mass Air Flow Sensor. The replies was we don't do electrical or sensors. I decided to try auto mobile and received the same response. I sent my request to Yelp and Greg responded I told him mobile doesn't do this type of job putting in sensors. Greg let me know he's been a mechanic for 44 years, I asked him for a quote he said just a moment I was satisfied and I told him where I lived. I was so surprised he agreed to come all the way 77091 to SW Houston 77074. He said he'd look at his schedule and said I can see you today I was totally shocked 45 minute later Greg was here. No more engine light is on plus he fixed my door switch dame he's good and I'm one happy camper. Thanks again Greg. read more

I highly recommend Greg's Mobile Mechanic. My car wouldn't start on the day after Thanksgiving. Greg quickly responded to my call and was punctual. He came very quickly to repair the front window regulator in my 2008 Ford Focus. He was knowledgeable in diagnosing and repairing the issues (which also included a broken plastic part that some might have missed) and I would call him again under the same circumstances. I'm not very experienced with pricing for mobile mechanic services, but I had hoped for a lower price. I reasoned that he only had to travel 5 minutes, 1.5 miles, and presumably has low overhead. After checking online, I believe that the price for the repair was about half again as much as it would have been at a AAA-approved mechanic, but on the other hand, there was the tremendous convenience of home service. For all I know, the pricing was about what someone should expect. In the same circumstances, i.e., when it was hard to go to my regular mechanic around the corner, I'd call Greg again without hesitation. read more
