Dr. Urrea earned my trust over 10 years ago by talking me OUT of surgery on my right shoulder. Hey, any surgeon who is willing to forego surgery and advise a patient to try an alternative method is trustworthy in my book. Most are quick to cut and you get what you get. With Dr. Luis, you get a great staff (many thanks to Marty, Linda, Vanessa and the office bunch!) a terrific Physician's Assistant (the always attentive and thorough Jennifer) and the peace of mind that whatever he sets out to repair, it's done RIGHT! I was a bit hesitant to do the total knee replacement, simply because of the horror stories from folks who've had them, but once the decision was made to do it, Dr. Luis assured me that he'd do it right. Months after the surgery I feel like a young man again as I'm doing all the things that I like to do without restriction. My job was the one thing I was worried about -- sometimes there are tough physical requirements -- but I feel NO pain and with terrific (tough, but necessary) therapy sessions with Kevin Mark, I've bounced back from both scopes and from the replacement (in my opinion) better than when I walked through the door. Peace of mind is what I have now, and confidence to know that the next step isn't painful. Do yourself a favor and let him get you back to where you want to be. While surgery can be a high-stress experience, your team went above and beyond to make me feel safe and comfortable. I want to specifically recognize Crystal, the physician's assistant. When I arrived, my blood pressure was 168/100 due to nerves. Crystal's incredible knowledge, expertise, and calming presence were so effective that she managed to bring my blood pressure down to a healthy 130/80 before the procedure. Her ability to comfort a nervous patient is unmatched, and I have already requested that my next surgery be at the Joe Battle location just so I can work with her again--it is well worth the extra drive. Definitely Crystal does need a pay raise or some type of monetary recognition. I also want to commend Jasmine for her patience and skill. She handled the sedation of my leg perfectly, and her professional demeanor really put me at ease. Person I've had the pleasure to be a patient of. If that's first not say it all, let me explain further. If you ever need anything, even when they're closed on holidays there's always a way to reach him and his great staff each and every one of them to help you with genuine care. When you're in the room with him, or speak to any of his staff, they see you. Not just a patient with social security number, they see you. They hear you out listening to every word. You don't find that with me doctors anymore. Most of them already have their ideas formed before you even utter a word. His bedside manner is exemplary. There's not a thing that goes unnoticed any genuinely wants to know how you are, how you truly are. I wish I could speak to so much more about them. I just can't speak highly enough about this doctor, Juan becera, or his staff. I hope people who are reading this who need help go there. Reach out to them. They will help you if they can in any way shape or form. No stigma attached. No drawn out previous conclusions based on nothing but conjecture. Empathy is such a high quality there. I just felt like Dr. Becerra was a better fit for me due to his specialties. One of my physicians also referred him to me so that was a plus. His staff got back to me that same afternoon I spoke to my other doctor! They gave me an appointment the next day. That really left a lasting impression for me! That doesn't happen to me quite often. You can tell he really wants to help his clients feel better. He also has good bedside manners. I recently started going to see him and I've already been really pleased. A couple of meds weren't working as much as I liked. He immediately resolved that. His staff got back to me right away...none of this waiting a day or so for answers. I heard back from his staff within 15 or 20 minutes. That's a pretty quick turnaround. Aside from his knowledge, his staff is also helpful and kind. I've enjoyed talking to them in the office and over the phone so far. I feel like I can trust the the doctor and staff. I told Dr. Becerra I wasn't feeling well during my first appointment. After he gave me my prescriptions, he also gave me a shot on my right arm. It didn't help until later that night. I'm glad he was able to give me that shot. It took the pain away and I was able to sleep much better. I plan to continue visiting Dr. Becerra for as long as needed. He has two locations. His other location is on Zaragoza. I'd visit him at either location. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Alost replaced my left hip three years ago. Since I have healed from surgery, I have had three…read moredays with pain, which I think is spectacular, as I had pain every day, for most of the day before surgery. I did have a surgical complication which arose while I was doing rehab in Dallas. (I am a widow, and my only daughter lives in Dallas.) Dr. Alost had a bed ready and waiting for me when I flew into El Paso, turned the situation around, saving me at least 3 months in bed. I am walking today because of him. When the time comes for my other hip, I know exactly where I'm going. He's fabulous. BTW, I am morbidly obese, which ruled me out with every other surgeon I tried, but Dr. Alost was willing to take a chance with me. If you are obese and in pain, don't give up! Go see him!
