Gregory and I have been acquainted for 4 long years during my time at UT as a student, and let me just say he has seen me at my best and at my worst. My first milestones were made at this gym- from running my first mile to benching my first bar. If you're interested in fitness this gym has it all and can transform even the scrawniest human bean like me to a somewhat thiccer human bean. My only complaint is the weight room always smells like sweat and testosterone. Go in and you'll know what I mean. Like all of apple theta pie and their frat brothers are training all on the same day. If you're looking for gym intimidation that's the room to go in, but otherwise I recommend walking 5 minutes to the recreational sports center for some clean air. On the bright side, there are a bunch of fitness gear and equipment to be found and explored in this gym. Racquetball courts, dance/aerobics rooms, cycling studios, weight room, indoor/outdoor pool, sauna, indoor track, etc. are just some of the possibilities! The gym offers classes you can register for as well, for an additional monthly fee. This castle is 4 stories. Let me break it down: First floor: FIT studio, racquetball courts, pilates room, some elliptical, running, and bike machines Second floor: Entrance floor. There is a locker room, weight room, pool access, dance rooms, and front desk. Third floor: Basketball and volleyball courts. If you go all the way to the back of Greg you can also find these really nice study rooms if the doors aren't locked. Fourth floor: A place a lot of my friends didn't even know existed! This floor holds the indoor running track. 7 laps is 1 mile. Tip: You can rent sports equipment like balls and racquets from the front desk. If you are a clutz and get injured frequently like me, you can also get first aid bandages and ice packs from them too. The gym is always packed during late afternoons and evenings, so I recommend going during the early morning for best accessibility to weights. There are some tables inside that are also nice study areas for students.

. If by chance you don't feel like putting up with Gregory Gym for whatever reason the Rec Center, a short jog down the hill, is just as good

Castlehill Fitness is a gem of a gym and it's locally owned! Some of the perks: Never overcrowded,…read moreno waits for machines (and there is a lot of variety), courteous and helpful front desk staff, top notch instructors (Pilates, HITT, yoga, cycle, all types of strength classes and many more), an amazing acupuncturist on site as well as excellent massage and physical therapists. The gym is kept clean and orderly depending on what you want to focus on. The prices aren't really more expensive than other local gyms and here you will get attention and feel you are valued! Check it out- there is always some kind of special going on! Just ask.

After using ClassPass for a few months, I booked a class at this gym and thank heavens I did…read more Castle Hill Fitness is awesome. It's a full gym offering a variety of classes, equipment, and wellness spa, the best part it has been locally owned for 22 years. Castle Hill isn't the prettiest or shiniest gym. She's funky and oddly shaped and full of good energy. As a VIP member you get unlimited group classes! Including Pilates with reformer, towers, and chairs! Plus yoga. Strength training classes. Rebounders. It's all here. I've never seen any other gym anywhere offer so much. Also, the members take care of this place, wiping down equipment, they don't use harsh chemicals either, it's essential oils so the place has a light hint of pine in the air. Also, towel service in included. Although, castle hill fitness isn't the prettiest gym, she has the most heart, I don't feel like a piece of meat in there, and it's kept clean. Def a fan of this place; the staff, and the value.

I received a guest pass for a cycle workout from my Yelp friend Airon Andrews…read more I was impressed with the gym. There are so many amenities...snack shop, free towels, hydro massage chairs, Normatek compression boots, cold therapy chairs, pool, and real massages. The cycle class by dynamic instructor David Garza was quite a workout! It was only 30 minutes long but energy packed! I was familiar with the Soul Cycle type classes, which include push-ups while cycling. But this class introduced dance style moves, such as swaying hips. It was a real dance party! I was exhausted but feeling great afterwards. We partook of the Normatek compression boots, which were good therapy for my recently injured knee. The hydro massage chairs were taken, so we skipped that. All in all, this high end gym was a great experience. I would join, except my insurance does not cover the gym because it is considered "premium."

Telling me I had 2 prior violations of booking changes - turns out that was also incorrect because I only had 1 prior violation whereby I couldn't make it in time due to nyc subway being stopped. This time it was lifetime who booked me for 60 min when I wanted 30 min. I'm so over the spa here / they never have an esthetician available and charge $95 for a 30 min massage which is expensive by any means and the front desk manager is a bitch!

When I could no longer tolerate the big box gyms, the crowds that flock to them and the bad behaviors that have cropped up over time, I finally made the move to this gym. Sure it's smaller, sure it doesn't have daycare, saunas, pools, giant changing rooms but I consider all those things a plus. People who show up here show up to work out not sit at the sauna and pool all day. The price point is higher than most gyms but not unreasonable. You get what you pay for -- mostly in peace and quiet and an overall more courteous gentler crowd. There is a good mix of equipment that can handle a mix of folks who just want fitness, folks who are into bodybuilding and powerlifters. For the most part all three groups exist in peace. Perhaps the general fitness folks may at times be a little intimidated by some of the louder harder workouts of the powerlifters. But this can be mitigated by changing the time you go. I get overstimulated by such noises so I try to avoid those folks if I can. ( I can be a gentle flower lol) Gender balance. This gym has a very healthy gender balance. Luckily this crowd is not there to find suitors, they are there to work out so no fake eyelashes or clown makeup nor guys just dragging their wings along the ground like turkeys in heat. Please respect this dynamic and don't come here to hit on people. Like most gyms the peak time is 5-7 week days except it's mostly Monday to Wednesday that's somewhat busy during rush hour. But nothing like the big box gyms. It's busy but not impossible to get a workout in like other gyms. Folks are not aggressive with each other, they are kind when they approach you for working in etc. I take a long time at some machines people should be upset but there is no upset, only kindness. They are swapping out some of the equipment and its changes for the better -- mind you what's there is already plenty. This is a small gym floor compared to mix chain gyms. The gym in Lincoln village is slightly larger and the new one in round rock will be huge. The hours are great. Parking is plenty however not endless, sometimes you will have to hunt a little. The gym is clean, bathrooms is clean but could be better. I am just being honest. It's just fine. I have been spoiled by Lifetime and EOS. There is a regular crowd that's been there a long time and they sometimes do exert a little bit of ownership and territorial behavior but they are mostly harmless, they could use the challenge of new faces, and they are perfectly able to adapt and accept newcomers. So don't be intimidated. It's all teddy bears in there. The staff also is amazingly friendly and attentive and keep the place sharp and on top shape and help members. I highly recommend you get a week pass and check it out!

I've made 50 or so friends and acquaintances with all the members.. the demographic is all ages here, at all fitness levels. The main reason I adore this gym, is the quality of equipment, and availability of said equipment. As someone who's 30 years old and has been lifting weights since they were 15.. I know my way around a gym. This gym has EVERYTHING you could ever need to build your dream body, and they're not endorsing me to say these words. I am passionate about fitness, some would say more than average. Los Campeones is truly a gym of champions. Choose this gym.
