I have been a Life Time Fitness member for over 15 years. I primarily do group fitness classes in the South Austin location. My favorite classes include Xtreme and AMP cycle. They have good clean facilities with a lot of amenities. I primarily spend most of my time in the studios, however they have a variety of free weights and other weight lifting equipment on the floor. Life Time creates their own formats that change over the years. Xtreme class was once Total Conditioning. Now they have Ultra Fit and GTX formats. They don't focus on the run and cycle clubs anymore which is unfortunate because I used to be a run lead. I am interested in teaching other class formats since I can basically do them in my sleep, but have not received support when reaching out to the team fitness lead about this. The price point is a bit high and I ended up losing my legacy membership pricing when I was let go as a run lead and they cancelled my membership and wanted me to start a completely new membership at new member pricing rates. Right now I am paying $170 and only have access to one club which I think is a bit ridiculous. Overall, they offer a variety of good classes and have been a part of my fitness journey for many years. I use the lap pool to train for my triathlon swims. My feedback would be to offer deals to your longtime members on pricing and allow more access to other clubs.

It has a great pool indoor and outdoors and we have a lot of fun. I wish it offered discounts for teachers or single parents especially considering how unorganised it is and how frequently they have to close the hot tubs and sauna

Easy five star review. I'm from houston and travel here for work. Max is always a top notch pro. Very friendly and always eager to help. I like how they have a smaller sauna in the men's locker room for overflow when the main Sauna is crowded. Great weights , pool, sauna , jacuzzi etc. Everything you could ever want at a gym. Lifetime is by far and forever will be my favorite gym. Great location too. Only 15 mins from 6th street.

I came on a friend's guest pass and I'm already sold on Lifetime! This place is massive with one of the most impressive weight rooms I've ever seen. There are over 8 squat rack, 4 comfortable bench press setups and there's never any wait. I didn't use these facilities but I was intrigued by the outdoor pool, pickleball courts and basketball court. The building even has its own spa, chiropractor office and juice bar! I saw a bunch of people on their laptops WFHing in the common areas on the Wi-Fi. It's really so much more than a gym.

I have been a lifetime member for over 10 years off and on and have always enjoyed going to locations from north texas to san antonio. What I enjoy the most is the quality of equipment, amenities, and atmosphere of Lifetime. For the price you pay it includes: indoor pool, outdoor pool, sauna, steam rooms, full gym equipment, yoga, cycle, rock climbing, basketball and now pickle ball. The facility is clean, staff is kind, there is plenty of parking, and the hours are reasonable as they are open 4 am-12 am and 5 am-10 pm on the weekends. On holidays like fourth of July they are open as well, although I am uncertain if they are open on Christmas and Thanksgiving. Some things that I do not like are how the pilates classes are not apart of the membership. It is hundreds of dollars for a couple of classes which is unaffordable and even if I did want to spend that much money, it would be difficult to join the class because sizes are very small with less than 10 people in a class. In addition, they do have closures of the sauna and steam room from time to time. Lastly, they recently increased my membership this month by $10 without sending notice. Some new additions to lifetime recently have been the lifetime lounge which is a great plus for those who study or work from home. They added hydromassage chairs but it is only free for a limited time. The hydromassage was actually quite relaxing, I recommend everyone to try it out!

I was really looking for more personal, nutrition and data driven results. It's great that your trainer is telling you that you look great and strong, but what do the numbers say? The InBody machine they had there, is here as well. Curious why my trainer at LT never regularly used it in my regime. We met with the owner Chris and he offered us a complimentary workout with one of the trainers to get a feel for the place. That wasn't necessary really. We somewhat knew what we looking for and Evolve seem to have all the stuff we really needed, without the pretentiousness. My treadmill was there, they have heavy stuff to pick up and throw around. Machines for all kinds of stuff. A massive half tire thing, that actually looks dangerous to me. :) Chris's interview with us was personal and direct. I liked that as well. He took his time, listened and asked for our availability and when to start the first complimentary session and we discussed the packages available. This was a wow moment. A 6 month commitment meant that our PT hour was $79.99, no monthly gym fee and I could come and go as I please. Jaw drop. We were paying $150 an hour, plus a monthly gym fee 3x's a week. Although to be fair, I had recently moved to a Medicare Membership at LT so no gym fee, but restricted hours. Ok, interest was peaked. I went to my first session with Celeste. We spent the entire hour working on my balance and stretching. I was like, ok no weights? I regretted that thought when I got home a few hours later when my muscles had some aching, a signal that something good was happening that worked. Her style was to get me in touch with my core and she was surprised, as was I, why my past trainer experience didn't touch on that. Using my own stomach kettle bell or medicine ball as "The Weight" makes sense. I have used very little physical weight these past two months. I am doing a lot of Yoga it seems when I train with her. Mandatory stretching before working out, in addition to me getting on the treadmill before we start. The Yoga is teaching me to be in touch with my body and muscles, I like that as well. Celeste may be younger, but she has knowledge and experience which is what matters to me. She is now taking a keen interest in our diet. We are looking at recipes and dietary concerns. She cautioned me on my style, which was 1670 cals a day and reminded me that slow and easy wins this race. Again, good logic. Most important she has a laugh with me while I clumsy work my way through the gym like a drunken Shrek at a rave. Nice reassuring smile and very quiet speaking so I have to pay attention more. Communication. The owner is there often and when he sees me, he always checks in with me and asks how I am doing. I get reminders on the gyms personal app and text's from Celeste checking in on me. A very important app is the InBody app. I can already see the improvement in my body, which is a total motivator. Such a simple thing and a great, honest feedback tool. It feels good to support a local business and not a corporate conglomerate as well. Let's keep on keeping on!

The massage therapist is also a trainer and this means you can go and sweat for two hours and then get a sports massage afterwards. The workouts are tough but the best thing is that they are ALWAYS different. It's never the same boring old routine. They recently got an infrared sauna too! Their class times align to people who work long hours in addition to people who don't work as you can attend the 6am or 7am classes ( that's where I'm at ) or the 12pm or 5:30pm classes. I enjoy this class so much more then I ever enjoyed Barre, Yoga or CrossFit. It's just a true combination of everything and that makes it so much more doable as it never gets boring. Random body parts are always sore. They also always provide alternatives if you have an injury. The class is super diverse. People of ALL ages and ALL weights. It's refreshing. You're not intimated but you're also motivated. Personal tip: If Lateef doesn't immediately respond to your email just email again. He's an actual owner hustler as he teaches so many of his classes and does a lot of personal training and he doesn't have an assistant so he juggles it all on his own.
