I replaced the right axel on my 2013 Subaru Crosstrek at Gregoris Subaru of Valley Stream on October 21, 2021. The fee for this service was $415. According to service representative Maria, I had the option to get an after-market part or a factory part as a replacement. However, she failed to inform me of the warranty discrepancy between the two options. The after-market part only came with a 90-day warranty, while the factory part came with a one-year warranty. The fact that a dealer would offer an after-market part at all is beyond me. Ten months later, the right axle was defective and replaced once again. Considering that the axles on most vehicles last the lifetime of a car, I find this wholly unacceptable and unnecessary financial hardship for my family. However, Maria at Gregoris dismissed my concern that an axel should be defective and replaced less than a year later. I would avoid this dealership for poor customer service and for securing quality parts for its long-term Subaru customers. read more

Gregoris Subaru is a good place when you are buying cars. I have nothing but great to say about MR. Katz. He was there with us from the very beginning of the process to till the 2016 Subaru Outback 3.6R is in our hands. On the other hand, The Service Department people suck. The Karen in the front has the worst customer service practices. Her attitude is worst than DMV worker on a really bad day. She does not even have the courtesy to check your warranty. This is an honest assessment of an event to give customers an insight as to my experience. As a former adjuster its hard not to see imperfections on the car. We were buying a Crosstrek for my son, I wanted to make sure (obviously) that he is getting the car he is paying for, especially if he is paying out $30k. What regular person wouldn't know is that if a car gets damaged during transport, the dealer fix it and you would never know, when I was working as an adjuster I have seen a lot of brand new cars with previous body repair. So, there were 4 Crosstrek's, a very nice Burgundy, Blue, and 2 Grey. On the FIRST grey Crosstrek I immediately noticed rear bumper was painted, there were paint uneven edges were bumper meets quarter panel on the left side, further into it I saw that left rear door and left quarter panel on that same left side were painted as well, there is nothing on Carfax. The SECOND grey Crosstrek had a gap between the front bumper and the hood that was slightly larger compering to burgundy and blue one, that means bumper was removed and incorrectly put back at some point, than on the passenger side the corner of the front bumper was not aligned with the fender and had a 1/4" gap, that tells me that bumper was replaced and with nothing but a after market bumper. The rear bumper on the same vehicle and the same right (passenger side) had the same issue, the corner of the bumper were bumper meets the quarter panel, closer to wheel molding had a 1/4" gap, so that was also replaced with A/M bumper. At this point I can see that front and rear bumper were replaced with A/M bumpers, however I don't know what was the extend of the damage or how it happened. A/M parts is not the problem though, nothing wrong with that, but what I have a problem with is when the part doesn't properly fit, but you paying for the car expecting everything original. I don't know how the damage happened nor how bad it was, I am not pointing any fingers at dealership or at the original owner of the car, in my opinion, if you didn't know, and someone with knowledge is telling you about it, you want to know as much as possible, but if you dismissing it right of the back, I simply will not trust a single word at that point. So, when sales person told me that she called the used car manager, I was under impression that he wanted to see what I was talking about, I was wrong, first he said "so don't buy this particular car", he didn't care to see what I was talking about and didn't care to hear how I came about it. When I questioned his busines integrity towards the customers he yelled as he was walking away "matter of fact you will not buy a car from this dealership". At which point me and my son told him we wouldn't buy a car from here even if you paid us and we left. I will never return to this dealership. In general: Just because vehicle has 2 miles on it doesn't mean it couldn't have been damaged during transport, which happens more often than you think, there is no insurance or police involved because some dealerships either have their own body shop on premises or they working with body shop in the area (and that would be the cheapest body shop). Repairs could have been done by previous owner and dealer didn't know, but than again, if someone bring it to your attention, why would you dismiss it if you didn't know. Used car manger was rude, disrespectful, extremely poor customer service, and most important had no integrity. At no time was the validity of carfax was questioned. At no time there were any attempts of negotiations as Used Car Manager refused test drive of the vehicle. We were not asked to leave, we were told that we will not get a car from this dealership. read more

I had a service appointment for 7:30 am. I called around 3:00 pm and my car was not looked at! I was told that due to the heat, the mechanics were working slowly. My car would probably be serviced the next day. Called service department early the next afternoon and was told my vehicle had still not been serviced. This time I was told that the delay was due to a shortage of mechanics. Yes, you guessed it. I cancelled any and all service request and picked up my vehicle. Horrible Expirience!!!! My husband went there to get some information on buying a new subaru. He handed the salesperson a paper he had printed showing exactly what he wanted. My husband just wanted to ask some basic information about the car such as price, color and available packages. The salesperson said my husband had to fill out a form asking for his personal information . When my husband said he didn't want to fill out any paperwork the salesperson threw the paper at him and yelled at him to leave. I am exhausted from dealing with the Service Facility, so I am just going to copy and paste the email I sent them today. To whom it may concern at Gregoris Subaru Service Center, I am writing to you today to express my exasperation in dealing with your incompetent, unprofessional, and unaccommodating staff members time and again. Today, Wednesday, January 22nd, 2020, was the last straw. On Monday, January 20th, 2020, I called the facility to set up an appointment regarding several recalls on my vehicle for today, Wednesday, January 22nd, 2020. I was speaking with Maria, who asked me what recalls were listed for my vehicle, but unfortunately, at the time I did not have them on hand. She assured me that this was fine and that she would give me a call back later in the day to verify the appointment with me. Long story short, I never received a phone call back from Maria, and honestly, I didn't expect one as I have had my run-ins with her in the past before. 12 miles and 30 minutes later, on Wednesday morning, I arrived at the Gregoris Subaru Service Center and spoke with Peter at the front desk. He confirmed that there are 3 recalls on my car but never told me what they were. I was only aware of 2 of them. After confirming this, he told me that I would have to leave the car there. I disagreed to this because in the past, back in 2017, Maria had agreed to have my car ready at 3 PM but she could not follow through with her promise. She stranded me in Valley Stream 12 miles away from my house with no way of getting home. According to the manager at the time, she was obligated to offer me a loaner car, which she did not. Fast forward to 2020, and they still did not offer me a loaner car, which I desperately needed as I had a shift at work from 5 PM to midnight. There was no way that I would be able to stay with my car for the rest of the day AND make it to work on time. Peter offered to make me another appointment for either Monday or Tuesday the following week, however, I repeated myself saying that I work 15 hour shifts from 9 AM to midnight on Mondays and Tuesdays and this appointment slot did not work for me. I inquired about getting my car serviced on a Saturday, as the facility is open from 8 AM to 1 PM. However, he told me that I am not permitted to bring my vehicle on a Saturday, and I am only permitted to bring it on weekdays (which, as stated before, does not work with my busy schedule). Peter was not willing to work with my schedule and had turned me away from getting my car serviced at Gregoris. It was at this point, and after 3 years of tolerating subpar service at this facility, that I decided it was time to leave Gregoris Subaru, and switch to the Bayside or the Hicksville facility, perhaps. I have learned my lesson from this facility time and time again. Even in a situation where I am trying to make an appointment, the workers at the facility do not follow through. I have had now 2 situations in which they did not offer me a loaner vehicle, and 1 situation in which I was stranded in Valley Stream, forced to find a taxi to take back home for 12 miles. Gregoris Subaru does not meet my needs as a consumer and additionally, in light of the 3 recalls on my car, puts consumers' safety at risk. My resolution at this point is to make an appointment with the Hicksville facility sometime in April (as today, January 22nd, 2020 was my last off day until April) and hope that my vehicle will last until then without compromising my safety. read more

She is a college student, was in a pickle and needed a used car ASAP. Usually that would mean she would have to settle and probably overpay, especially these days. Service department is a rip off. While waiting for my car I was able to hear all other patrons as they picked up their cars. Many customers were told that they had a nail in the tire and that the service representative correct the issue. When I went to pay for my repair I was also told that I had a nail in my tire and they charged me to fixing the flat. Such a cheap obvious and dishonest scam. Had an appointment with one salesperson, who pawned me off to another salesperson who was on youtube, only to finish off with the mechanic?? who for some reason was doing the "negotiating". The car I had inquired about online was already sold, unbeknownst to me as no one had informed me until I got there and they showed me a different car. And when I told the mechanic the price that was quoted to me by another salesperson for the car I was looking to buy, he said "must have been a typo". Never had a more unprofessional experience at any dealership, it was like they wanted to push the worst cars on you and when you decline, they give you the mechanic to speak with! This review is for the service dept, not the car sales dept which is in another location. Service dept does not meet it's scheduled appt times; do not expect to get your car timely or by when they tell you even if it is for a simple service that takes minutes. Expect poor customer service and poor attitudes by the sales staff. It is almost as if the staff is being punished by having to work here---that is reflected in their attitude towards the customer.
