The following evening, I received a confirmation text and set up a game plan with Daniel, who was also very responsive, for the following morning. Daniel and his partner showed up right on time and got right to work! They were very polite and quick to get my old couches out and loaded up onto their truck, with no mess or damages around the property! Instead of dragging crap to some local venue this place picks up unwanted, broken, and used electronics for free as well as appliances. Was able to text a picture of what needed to get picked up. I couldn't believe how many calls I had to make to various scrap metal and junk removal services before I found one that A. Answered their phone or returned my message promptly during business hours B. Could schedule pick-up within the next couple of days C. Could commit to a tight pick-up window (I didn't want to hang out at the storage unit all day) D. Didn't quote me more than $50 for this ridiculously easy job Greenway Recycling fit the bill. The Skinny: Went with a group of students from Cal Poly Pomona to tour the business. The owner was very nice, bought us donuts, coffee and gave us great insight into the business of recycling. The Fat: Recycles just about anything that was made in a factory. Computers, cellphones, vcrs, televisions, monitors, etc..almost every piece can be recycled. They do fundraisers, too and it's a great deal. And if you have a lot to get rid of, they pay YOU to pick them up. Win-win! read more

What an awesome find! I had a couple of old TVs to get rid of and called to see if I could drop them off. The man on the phone said he could send someone to my house the next day and pick it up for me. I told him I had an old washer and some old workout equipment as well and he said leave it all on the driveway and his driver will pick everything up. By the time I was done cleaning out my garage I had 9 different items outside. I text the man my address and just like he promised it was picked up the very next day! I had filled a borrowed truck with usable items (working lawn mower, Meile range, vent hood, 2 file cabinets, etc) but couldn't get Goodwill OR Habitat for Humanity to take them and the owner of the truck was due back the next day. I called on a Sunday morning at 6am, he came out by 9am to give me an estimate and by 10am he had a 16 foot truck leaving (helpers had already left) with all that was in the borrowed truck plus 2 pick up full of CRAP that needed to be thrown away. I can't tell you the relief it was to see that CRAP leave in that truck and I didn't have to do the work of loading it. : ) Charles was FANTASTIC to deal with. read more

Excellent service! I had a few things we were getting rid of through the garbage but since we're selling and moving, time was no longer on our side! I messaged through yelp for an estimate, gave my email and phone for call or text... 30 minutes later Charles text me to get an idea of the size truck they needed. He had someone available same day. I asked a time window, Charles said Dan would text me when he left the site he was at. 30ish minutes later, Dan let me know they were on the way, ETA of about 30 minutes depending on traffic. 15 minutes later Dan called to let me know they were about 10 minutes away and double check the pick up items. 10 minutes later my phone was ringing, they were here!
