We had so much to move that they had to make two trips, loading and unloading twice, yet they still managed to finished everything in just 7 hours. Based on my experience, I was expecting the move to take at least 10 hours. But what truly set Master Movers apart is their transparency and honestly. Unlike other moving companies, Master Movers do not charge for heavy item fees or bulky item feee. This allowed us to have a clear understanding of what the move would cost and that's exactly what I appreciate in a moving company. We began with the estimate from Felipe Serna, who provided information, consultation and came to our house to assess the amount of household goods. His estimate was reasonable and he was very personable and reassuring. We decided to have Serna's do the packing and the moving. He even made an extra trip to deliver stickers to identify things staying or being loaded last. We had two days of packing, with two and sometimes four packers--all quick and careful workers, polite and helpful. Reina was good about staying in touch with us with dates and delivery scheduling. The final day of loading went well, and the load was maintained by Serna's until we arrived in Santa Rosa, about 10 days later. At the delivery site, the driveway to our place was challenging, and Felipe (who was now the driver as the driver was injured earlier that week) had to jackknife the truck to make the turn. All things were placed where we directed--and sometimes had to be moved again. The crew were agreeable, very helpful and always polite--and sometimes had to life heavy items up the stairs! We appreciate the referral to your moving service, and we would be happy to make the same positive referral to anyone. We hired them for a cross country move and were very hopeful for a smooth process given the total cost we were quoted. Prior to the move, I will say the customer service was great. Any question we had was answered promptly and clearly over email, which was very helpful when preparing for the move. On the day of pick up, the movers were punctual, organized, kind and respectful. I have no complaints for the first half of the move. The delivery is where things started to go south. Our movers assured us they would arrive by July 1, however the night before I received a text from Frank that the movers were very delayed and were likely going to miss the delivery date. He let me know the battery had died in the moving truck and therefore they were unable to make the agreed upon delivery date. This was a problem as we had no accommodations for that night, assuming we would've been able to stay in our new home. Frank offered to cover the cost of any hotel expenses we incurred, which was the right thing to do given the circumstances. However, I did have to follow up with him once or twice to complete the reimbursement, which again isn't the type of service I would expect given the premium cost we paid and unique circumstances. When the movers arrived the next day, things looked positive as they were unloading all the furniture. However once they left we realized several items were either missing or damaged. Our bed frame, bar cabinet, shoe cabinet and futon all had either pieces missing or parts that had been dinged. On top of all of that, our TV screen had been damaged in the move. I have since been asking for claim details to get reimbursed for the TV repairs, and have followed up daily with no progress or confirmation that we will be compensated for the damages. Overall while the movers themselves were wonderful, the service of Qshark fell far below expectation and I would not book with them again.
