Beautiful views that trail wrap around vineyards- the entrance is breathtaking! Small pop up booths of local vendors surround the orchard with cute gifts and souvenirs for the harvest season. They also have a fruit stand- & i love fresh fruit but the majority of the fruit here was split open and looking dull or brown in appearance like it was close to expiring. The lines were long for the cider donuts & sadly it didn't move fast. So I never got to try to cider donuts bc when I went it was almost one hr from closing. A lot of the pies were sorted through and the ones left were scattered in type and limited so decided not to take one home. And it was overall a smaller, more crowded stand then I expected with limited variety. Im sure they have great cider donuts- but I would recommend getting here first thing in the morning. This seems to be one of the more popular stands and parking can become complicated. I will have to give it another try to see a true experience because I feel like I didn't get to gather the true festive experience here.

It is a simpler, smaller, compact farmers market compared to Sacramento Downtown or Midtown. It had a nice variety of vendors. The Saturday I dropped by, they were selling produce, frozen fish, flowers, plants, nuts, baked goods, breads, kettle corn, artisan soap, honey, and jewelry. Some of the vendors were... Thao Ranch of Galt, CA: This small family run farm sells fresh produce. Some of the offerings were fresh dill, sweet snap peas, carrots, red onions, squash, leeks, beets, chard... some other items I can not remember off hand. The produce looked all so beautiful and were vibrantly colored. The carrots, beets, and onions still had their green tops on. Fresh. Plus they sold flowers. Beautiful bouquets of fresh flowers $12-15. Huge full gorgeous bouquets. Professional looking. Grateful Bread of Fair Oaks, CA: I was ecstatic to see their booth. I use to live near the bakery (an actual bakery where they made the goods right in the shop). I would drive or bike on over, my faves were the muesli bread and olive n feta cheese loaf. They have some of the best bread I have ever eaten... mmm. They were selling baguette (sourdough and French), cinnamon raisin bread, jalapeño n cheese bread, muesli bread, slider rolls, dinner rolls, cinnamon rolls, coffee cake, banana nut loaf, burger buns, ciabatta rolls, cookies (chocolate chip, peanut butter, oatmeal raisin) and a bunch more. These are all fresh made and not chuck full of preservatives like store shelf bread. I bought a bag of a dozen slider buns $5. Chick's Kettle Corn: Good stuff. Fresh made kettle corn straight from the kettle. He makes it earlier in the day and bags it. I bought a small bag $6. Nature's Nuts: The owner sources the nuts from Ripon and Modesto farms. I spoke to him for a bit. He is quite engaging and quite knowledgeable about nuts (nutritional value, storage, flavoring). No BSing.He sold walnuts, almonds, and pistachios in the shell sold unflavored or flavored. I bought a bag of 8 oz honey smoked almonds. Yum! I was able to sample. The walnuts were so fresh and had an excellent sweet earthy taste. Pat's Pastries: Home based business selling baked goods. Irish soda bread, whole grain bread, chive n cheese biscuits, zucchini pineapple bread, pumpkin ginger bread, gluten free pound cake and zucchini bread... were just some of her offerings. Malik Brothers: They sell various flavors of papadum, chips, rotis, and naan. Each come in a variety of flavors. Roti is a flatbread, made from stoneground whole wheat, originating from India. Ruby's Ranch: They are a farmstead selling all organic produce. Their booth sold a variety of lettuce. It looked all so fresh and vibrant. Upon arriving, we were greeted by a friendly employee who urgently ran behind the bar to attend to us. Since we were pending the arrival of our friends, we decided to get the party started with two glasses of tempranillo (the employee kindly allowed for us to sample it before purchasing it). While we awaited the arrival of our friends, my wife and I found a picnic table in the shade. Once our friends arrived they ordered a wine tasting flight to share. As we put the finishing touches on our tempranillo, an employee came by to see if we were ready for another round. Since it was a 100 degree day, we figured that it would be wise to order something cold and refreshing. Although we have never been fans of rosé, it just felt like the appropriate thing to order. Even though the majority of meat I purchase is at a grocery store (Raley's, Nugget, Safeway, etc.) or a warehouse-type store (Costco, WinCo, etc.), you just can't beat the quality of a family-owned butcher shop. This takes me to the one and only "Kings Meats" that has only been in operation since 2020 but in that amount of time, they've gained hundreds of new customers. Located in the El Dorado community of Diamond Springs, they are relatively close to Highway 49 and roughly 10 minutes south of Placerville and Interstate 50. I came here during the afternoon of Friday 5/16/25 at around 2:45pm. And as expected, the parking lot here was quite full with vehicles stocking up on some amazing meats. Keep in mind that if you do plan on coming here (especially from out of town), they are closed on Monday/Tuesday but open from 10am-6pm Wednesday-Saturday and 10am-5pm on Sunday. Once entering the building, I was absolutely amazed and quite impressed with how clean and tidy this place was. There was at least 4 employees working behind the counter and they all took their time in making sure every customer was helped. As for the meats, this place has everything you're looking for; ground beef, ground chuck, skirt steak, sirloin steak, New York steak, ribeye, spare ribs, pork belly, pork tenderloin, bacon, sausage, hot links, and so much more than I didn't even mention. During my visit, I stocked up and spent WAY more than I had anticipated; at least $200 worth of food. I mainly bought steak, ground beef, bacon, and some pork. Jump forward 3 weeks later (after a Memorial Day BBQ & other dinners) and the quality of their food is absolutely top-notch. It was so good to a point where it is better than a premium steakhouse or high-end burger joint. And for those pescatarians, they even have a decent seafood selection here (crab, salmon, oysters, etc.). Truth be told, I used to do my meat shopping at V. Miller (in Sacramento) until they closed in March 2025 as well as a few other butcher shops in the area. After a fellow Yelper told me about Kings Meats, I took his advice and glad I did. The quality (and even very reasonable prices) of the cuts of meat are some of the best I've had in years. Whether you grill, pan fry, or roast your meat, I am a firm believer that this place will meet your expectations. With that said and done, I am giving "Kings Meats" a picture perfect five-star rating.

They even let my friend and I combine our bundles since we couldn't quite make the $5 one separately.
