Honest Business. Period. I was looking for an E-bike for my commute so found this shop and spoke with the owner in a span of few weeks before I made my decision. I spoke with Damon for the first time on the phone for like 45 minutes and he educated me on the E-bike market and how it works. I stopped in to test ride their Yamaha Cross Core. It was so much fun. I wanted to spend more money and get the other model and Damon told me that it wasn't worth it for additional $1K. Any business owner would've said Yes, buy the expensive one for my margin but he was honest and he literally cared for me. When I purchased the bike, he gave me the run-down thoroughly and gave me a lecture on safety. I loved the shopping experience and with Damon's help, I made the right decision. Very happy. Buyer Beware - Poor Warranty Service from Greenpath Electric Bikes and Magicycle Review: I purchased a Magicycle Deer Step-Over electric bike from Greenpath Electric Bikes (Brooklyn, NY) in June 2024. Less than a year later, the battery and display completely failed. Despite the bike being under full manufacturer warranty, I have been stuck for weeks in endless delays, conflicting information, and finger-pointing between Greenpath and Magicycle. Magicycle demanded shipping fees that were never disclosed at purchase and dismissed the serious battery issue without proper testing. Greenpath refused to intervene to resolve the situation and ultimately informed me that they would no longer service my bike -- despite selling me the product with a warranty. Throughout this process, Greenpath was unprofessional, slow to respond, and offered no loaner bike or real support while I was left without transportation to work. I gave them every opportunity to correct the situation privately. Their final communication confirmed that they have no intention of standing behind the products they sell. If you value your time, money, and peace of mind, I strongly recommend avoiding both Greenpath Electric Bikes and Magicycle. read more

Went there today to get a quote for some work and I was bringing the e-bike in when the person behind the register started making noises at me like I was a dog who had wandered in. No words, just noises and hand motions. I stopped in my tracks and waited for him to address me like a human being. He didn't; nothing. Not, "Sorry, no room buddy, If you wait outside I'll be with you as soon as I can." Not even, "No room inside." Nothing; so I just left because shitty customer service at the most basic level didn't bode well for their level of concern for their patrons. Gotta do better. I am giving this store a lousy review. They do lousy business. Back in March of this year. I took my ADDMOTOR M 60 R 7 electric bike to be serviced. It needed basic maintenance, and a new motor for the rear wheel. They took the easy way out and got a cheap motor from nearby. And put it on the rear wheel. But it was not compatible with the bike. So they were going to order a new motor from China. But it would take a month. So I went to their store on Saturday 7/24/21. Expecting to see an Aerial with 48 X Class with half twist throttle with an 48 Volt battery in stock for sale. But they didn't have it. So I said to the mechanic. I'm taking all the accessories off the bike I put on. They can dump it. And I'm buying a new bike. The Aerial Rider X Class. So I went on Aerial's website. And I bought the bike I want. I spoke to Aerial via e - mail. And they said they will ship it out to me by Federal Express, at the end of this month. And the accessories, the cup holder, and rear cargo rack by UNITED STATES POSTAL SERVICE. I spoke to the owner of GREENPATH. I asked for a refund on what work was not completed. And he said to me. He won't service the bike because I didn't get it through him. And the store owner said he will charge me a storage fee from March till now because of what I did to him But I say it's not what I did to him It's what he did to me by holding the bike so long. And getting the right part for it the first time around. I even said to him that I wanted to by a new bike through him. But I took out a loan from my pension to buy the bike I wanted, and for other expenses too. I say I'm in the right here. I shouldn't have to pay for a storage fee, when the job should of taken a shorter time. So my advice to anybody out there that's looking for an electric bike to buy for themselves or someone in their families. DON'T GO TO THE CROOKS OF GREENPATH ELECTRIC BIKES !!!!!!!!!! In Yiddish we say ganifs which means crooks, which is exactly what that store is. By right. I should get a refund back for a job never completed the right way in the first place. The purchasing experience was pretty bad. There were delays, they were hard to get hold of, I got a bike with 2 different fenders front and rear... They couldn't figure out how to connect the cable to the integrated light on the rear fender, so they cut the cable, now the light doesn't work. Whatever - I needed transportation, I took delivery. What is really appalling is bringing a bike in for warranty service within the warranty period, and then being charged $120 because "we do more than what the manufacturer pays for". The bike still makes all kinds of noise - They didn't even fix it. Nice racket guys... I guess I'm supposed to haul the bike all the way down to Brooklyn again, lose it for 2 weeks and pay you some more? I don't think so. If you like to get hustled, or can't tell when you're being hustled, by all means do business with Greenpath. I'm going to my trusted local bike shop from now on. read more

I think it was 2014 when I purchased my first bike from Greenpath and without a doubt, it was a good experience and I have been recommending this place ever since. I also purchased my second bike somewhere around June, and other than a slew of flat tires (urban jungle glass) these guys have been great. It's a good business that addresses its mistakes when made, leaving customers feeling like they are apart of the process helps a lot, and they are truly concerned with the high-level experience from a ride on a bike that will move and swing you around this urban jungle better than Tarzan. I am an avid Yelper, yet even after great experiences I rarely take the time to write reviews (I know, it's a shame). However, Greenpath Electric Bikes was worth the effort. My father, who has suffered from Multiple Sclerosis for 30 years, had been doing his research on Pedego e-bikes for some time. Problem is, he really has a hard time walking and lifting his legs over the frame of the bike to straddle it. After calling many dealers, Greenpath was the distributor that had the bike he was looking for and was willing to allow my dad to test drive the bike. This is only where it began. The guys at Greenpath were the most patient guys, very understanding of my fathers disability. They worked with him to put him into the bike that best suited his needs, even though it wasn't the most expensive bike he was interested in. They spent well over an hour going over the features of each bike, test driving it, and helping my dad throughout the whole process. Very unprofessional! I took my izip e3 dash here to get the motor replaced it cost me $1100. when I received my bike back the battery was almost dead which I thought they had a charger for it because I ask before would  they need it and they said no so I couldn't really test it out like I wanted to. I told them upfront that the boost button was not working which the technician didn't even know what the button was for at that moment I knew they were not experience in fixing izips.I took it home and charged it all the way to find out now the bike only goes 20mph this is a class 3 bike which goes up to 28mph peddle assist. I search on the web which states when installing a transx motor you must update the firmware to the newest one they have on the site so I was prepared to call them back up the next day so I took it for a ride to work and one of the paddles came loose and fell in the middle of the street. I called them up to let them know what's going on they tell me to bring it by so I do. Two days later I bring it in the boss/manager who is always rude and has an attitude all the time gives me a story of how the motor was made that way and if anything he has to call the company to see if he can do because of the law in nyc on ebikes (which is 25mph not 20) and to see how much would it cost me. How are you gonna charge me for a job that was supposed to be done in the first place? This bike shop is a rip off i dont even think they have a computer in the back to do the system update. will be taking my business somewhere more professional. read more

Chaim the owner of the facility is very dishonest with customers. I brought in a bike to him which damage was covered under insurance. Chaim goes ahead and before the bike entered the store states he charges $70 for labor even with insurance. ( The insurance company said they cover claims and labor costs) (-1st dishonesty-) Chaim did not state he wanted the full story on to what had happened to the bike. Therefore; I assumed that since the insurance company had already approved of it I did not have to further explain the situation because they were going to pay him. After I drop off the bike and travel back the 25 miles back home he denies the claim with the insurance company when meanwhile he could have told me that the same day I dropped off the bike. Chaim then goes ahead and states that the insurance company denied the claim iinstead. (-2nd dishonesty-) You would think this guy would finally be up with his dishonesty. The guy racks up a estimate of $485 meanwhile the brake lever, brake line, and caliper cost $125 and $100 for a front wheel (From Pedego) That's $225, and he previously stated that he charges $70 for labor. So I don't see how an estimate of $485 could possibly be accurate. (-3rd dishonesty-) I bought two bikes from this guy and If he can do this to me. He will eat new customers alive. This year instead of taking a vacation we decided to invest in two decent electric bikes for myself and my partner. unfamiliar with electric bikes it took many days and nights along with long and tedious searches before we landed at Green bike path. The moment I walked in I knew we were at the right spot. We were immediately greeted by a polite store associate who was more than willing to thoroughly educate us on the different electric bikes available. He ran down which brand/models would best suit us for what we were looking for while also keeping in mind the original price range given. And when it came time for us to finally make a decision on which model to go with not only the associate but the owner insisted that we were to try several other models as well to have some sort of comparability. After taking our D.L. as proof they lined up two different models out front for us to ride. They then took time out to appropriately show us all the features on each bike and making sure we understood their functions before allowing us to ride off with them. Once we made our choice and purchase when it came time to finalize our order before delivery we were asked to come back into the store to make sure that the bikes fit us approximately and that we were absolutely satisfied before delivery to our home. Overall Greenpath Electric Bikes was a wonderful shopping experience where they place "quality over quantity" and I would highly recommend them to anyone currently looking to purchase an electric bike. read more

Awesome place! This is a great neighborhood bike shop with wonderful guys working there! I brought in an electric bike I bought online to see if they could figure out why it just kept shutting off. They had told me on the phone it would be a $75 diagnostic charge, which sounded reasonable. When I got there, they looked at the battery and the bike, told me the battery is no good, helped me search online for a replacement, discussed options for selling the bike (my idea) or replacing the battery. They were so nice and helpful and then didn't charge me anything! I almost wish I had something for them to fix just to give them my business after that! Highly recommend! read more

Awesome place. I just bought a Glion scooter from Greenpath and was considering buying directly through the manufacturer, until I spoke with Damon, Greenpath's owner. Their warranty/maintenance policy, ability to service the scooter in Brooklyn, really nice technicians and wonderful/honest owner, made the choice obvious for me. The whole buying experience was the opposite of a pressured sales pitch. Damon explained how important it is for Greenpath that they carry products that have a great maintenance track record. They do not want to carry products that are going to breakdown during the warranty/maintenance period. This logic benefits both Greenpath and the customer. I just purchased my first electric bike. I'm a biker, but knee issues made it increasingly difficult to go on a longer ride, so when my old bike was stolen I decided to go electric. Because I didn't know a lot about the types of electric bikes, Damon (the owner) made me testride almost every bike in his store. It was incredibly helpful in finding the right type of bike for me. Ofcourse I ended up spending more money then I wanted, but this is money well spend! I've been riding my new bike all weekend and it is exactly the type of bike I was looking for! You can get good bikes with no technical support. I had a problem battery . I sent it to them. I called maybe 10 times. Always had the answer we will check. After 1.5 months, I got it back. They gave me a new charger after an hour of fight, but the problem was not the charger.The last bike I bought, a Magnum Premium, was taken by a courier. However they just threw it in the car like that and it came with 100 scratches and broken part at the back. I called the owner. Of course he is not responsible. Electric bikes are very fragile and need a lot of support. I would highly recommend choose a place with a reliable customer and technical support. Check the picture of the new bike I received. I was stupid enough to but so many bikes from them since I thought they were the only people around me. Absolutely not. Many other places around. Go 100 miles away and buy somewhere else if necessary. I got some calls from them about this and as long as the problem is not solved, it is BS. So whet I have a shitty scratched bike. Greenpath's mechanic was VERY proactive and flexible. I had a problem with my bike chain on my Stromer ST2 rendering my bike useable and had to lock it up far away from home in Park Slope. I told the Greenpath mechanic about my problem. The next day, when I came ready to go through the painful trouble of transporting the bike in a van, I was met with a pleasant surprise to see the bike fixed by the mechanic ready for me to ride home! In fact, the bike seemed to ride better than it ever did! I am extremely grateful he went to the trouble of finding my bike and able to work on it roadside! LAZINESS, LIES AND RIP OFF! The promises made on their webpage are totally false. These guys want to do as little work as possible and charge as much as possible for it. I truly regret not bringing a small clams action against them for their BS. Here is the story: I had an electric hub motor on a conversion kit and, one time, in trying to apply sealant to some exposed motor cables, I shorted out the hall sensors. For a real pro, this is nothing more than a straightforward replacement. So I brought it to these guys. Jonathan Browne, their mechanic, kept stalling and not doing the work. Finally, after calling nearly every day, he was spurred into finishing the work. The motor worked for one day, then blew out again. Browne lied that he tried to do the work and couldn't do it. No money back, he said, you have to pay for the labor anyway, whether the repair was successful or not. I paid THREE HUNDRED DOLLARS for the job, and it wasn't done. But wait! It gets even better! Because at that time I could not find anybody else who did this kind of work (I eventually did - see, below), I was forced to return to Browne for another issue: shorted out controllers caused by the phase cables coming into contact with each other. This time, they had this idiot called Mike Gaetano "Gay" Santo working there who never did any meaningful work the entire time I was there. He does know how to keep an endless stream of BS going though. Browne, this nuclear submarine electrician, made it sound like repairing the controller was akin to fixing the space shuttle. He wanted $175 up front, in cash, because "this is crazy". He wanted the money regardless whether the controller was repaired or not. Then, during the conversation, some static occurred when I touched the outside case of the controller with some metal. Browne saw that and immediately jumped on that tiny spark as an excuse not to even bother, lying it was a short circuit when the unit was not even hooked up. I eventually found a repairman who fixed it for $25. What both these guys did do was talk BS. All Browne and Gay did was try to sell me their overpriced ebikes. Browne in particular disparaged my purchasing equipment on ebay from Chinese manufacturers and said that stuff was unreliable when, in fact, that stuff works fine and only HE is unreliable. He said that instead of spending money on repairs I should buy directly from him. He said if I did, I would not need repairs because his quality was much better, even though their bikes cost more. Folks, that's not true. ANYTHING that runs will need servicing at some point. If a repairman tells you something like what Browne told me, then you know he is a lazy & low quality repairman. An example: last year I got a new hub motor and was unable to get it to power on. I took it to Browne and he was clueless. He charged me $150 anyway, even though he didn't repair it. He was baffled. Later, I realized what the problem was: the polarities were reversed on the kit, and all I had to do was exchange the positive and negative cables! Browne couldn't figure this out. Isn't that incredible? This nuclear submarine expert...smh. A good repairman doesn't brag on his website and then make excuses, the way Browne does. I found a skilled mechanic called Daniel at an electric bike store less than a mile away from Browne's store. This store is nearby in Sunset Park. It's called KYSMO, and it's at 4408 8th Avenue. Danny, the technician there, fixed TWO of my hub motors with blown hall sensors, finishing both in ten days for three hundred total, and that included a new controller and hooking up an LCD throttle to that same controller. And that was ten days being backed up with work! Browne couldn't fix ONE motor in that time - he took weeks! When I called Browne for help on those same two motors, he refused. I reminded Browne of his boasting on their webpage, where he said, "We love a challenge." You know what he replied? "This is no longer a challenge", claiming the task was beyond his capabilities, as if replacing hall sensors was akin to curing cancer. By contrast, Danny never tried to sell me anything, never made excuses, and never talked any BS. And unlike Browne, Danny doesn't ask for any money up front; you only get charged if he can fix the item. Browne asks $150 up front, which he claims is 75 per hour with any difference being refundable. No honest repairman does that. Here's another thing this Browne guy did: while paying with my debit card a year or two earlier, I accidentally left my learner's permit in their office. Rather than return it to me, Browne kept it in his cash register that whole year, and never called me, even though he knew my number. He returned it only after I went back to their shop to try to get another motor fixed. That's just plain dishonest. But that's what you get over there - laziness, BS, incompetence and dishonesty, and we're not even talking about stuff like overpricing and discourtesy. STAY AWAY !!!!! read more

We purchased two folding electric bikes from Greenpath just before we moved from New Jersey to Miami. There was an issue with the bikes, I called and traded them in the next week and received a $45 refund per bike. Now that's great service. We have these bikes a year now and love them. They are reliable and well built. One warning, it is difficult to fold up folding bikes and they are quite heavy, at 50 pounds each, require two senior citizens to lift into the car. This is not a complaint about Greenpath, just a general warning. On the positive side, with the seats down on my Prius, I get both bikes into the car. read more

He didn't leave until every detail was taken care of and I was able to handle the bike.
