I've been to the 17th Street location many times, but unfortunately it's now closed. This Hyland location has a beautiful patio area for dining outside! Loved it, but unfortunately I wasn't a fan of the salad I chose. The ground chicken or turkey (forgot which) was tasteless and the salad dressing that came with it was equally tasteless. I didn't use it. I ordered the cauliflower appetizer that tasted like turmeric, but wasn't listed as an ingredient and for $11, the portion size was 5-6 VERY small florets and the other half of the plate was 5-6 spears of jicama. Always liked the food at the 17th Street location and I know they regularly change the menu. We enjoyed the nice day out, but unfortunately won't be back for the food here. read more

Was driving through the area and wanted some yummy and healthy food. I searched Yelp for a healthy option and right off the freeway as Greenleaf! I got so lucky. I pre-ordered on their website so the food was ready when I arrived. It only took 15 minutes for my two taco orders and my nacho orders to be ready. It is in a very cute shopping center. It looks like it's high-end furniture that's being sold there. Easy parking! Tons of seating inside and if you wanna enjoy outside, there's tons of seating as well. I actually didn't sit at the restaurant, but I sat in the garden area where there's a ton of open seats for anyone to sit at. I enjoyed the waterfall, people watching, and most importantly, the sun! I made sure to order the chicken Tinga for both my taco and nachos because that's what the yelp review says we're really good. The nachos were really yummy and crispy. I decided to give it another try today, hoping it had improved, but unfortunately it hasn't. The salad still does not include garbanzo beans or the pepperoni blend, and it barely has any red onions. It's really disappointing that the Costa Mesa kitchen version of Greenleaf doesn't live up to the standard. I also don't think it's fair to advertise the salad with all of the listed ingredients when they aren't actually included. I was really excited to hopefully try this place, but unfortunately they apparently swapped from their gluten-free buns, to Udi's gluten-free bread. Udi's bread is not bad, it's just boring as all hell, and a little denser than I like. I wish they used somebody like Schar, or Glutino or someone else.. Health conscious and intuitive eatz were what the menu consisted of. Price ranges were $15 and up. I chose a turkey burger and it was $16 by itself. It was exactly what I thought it would have been. I ordered lunch from this place, it came up as recommended when I logged onto Uber Eats and searched for something healthy to eat today for lunch. When I browsed the menu I saw the cute name, La La bowl and the ingredients and description looked great. I'm a big fan of black beans so I was excited for my bowl! You can add chicken or shrimp, it doesn't usually come with a protein option, it's 5 dollars extra for chicken, not sure how much for shrimp. I also got me a lemonade to go with my bowl. It arrived beautifully packaged, I was very impressed and ate most of it right away saving the rest for later. It was amazing, I loved the spicy dressing it came with too! Idk how they made the meat so perfect... how the bread was not soggy even after eating it after 30 minutes of it being made... but the patty was so tender. And delicious. Usually, when burger patties are thick, they don't taste great but this one... omg. Idk. Just try it. We absolutely love Greenleaf and my daughter. Kate, worked at the location in Costa Mesa for many years but unfortunately that spot has closed. They still have another one in Costa Mesa, but in kind of a furniture/mall which I probably would not go to unless I was over there shopping.
