The ladies at the front desk were awesome! They got my in right away and ran all the preliminary tests rather quickly! I was amazed by the more advanced equipment compared to my previous optometrist. The optometrist who saw me was very quick in figuring out the proper contact prescription just after one trial and adjustment. It's a bit difficult with with needing to adjust for multi focal plus astigmatism. So happy I finally found a local optometrist that I'm comfortable with. read more

This office does get quite busy so expect your appointment to take a little longer than you would expect. I would recommend you to bring your old glasses/contacts prescription so the optometrist will know where to start with providing you the correct prescription. I unfortunately did not bring my old prescription to my appointment. I reviewed my old prescription compared to the one I received from this office and noticed my new prescription is weaker. What I like about this office is that the optometrist listened to my concerns regarding my old contact lenses and was able to provide me with a better brand. I opted to purchase a pair of glasses from this office and it took about two weeks for them to be ready. If you think you will need to make adjustments to your glasses, you must schedule a time to meet with an optician. This is the first time I have come across an optometry office requiring you to schedule a time to make adjustments to your glasses. I had a family member pick up my glasses so I wasn't able to see my glasses until later in the day. I noticed the lenses were a lot thicker than I was used to. My prescription is pretty high so I opted for the high index eyeglass lenses. High index lenses cost a lot more than normal lenses. The glasses I received definitely weren't high index and the way the lenses were shaved down didn't look right at all. I had quite a bit of a back and forth exchange with the office about these lenses not being correct. The office was telling me that these are high index lenses and the lab recommended I get a roll and polish for an extra charge. I have never gotten a roll and polish for any of my glasses. I really had to voice my concerns before the manager jumped in and agreed to send the glasses back to the lab for new high index lenses. It's a bit inconvenient that I had to request time off work to drop off the glasses and then schedule a time with the optician to try on the new glasses. Also, it took about another 2 weeks to get the correct glasses. However, i'm glad the office made things right by finally listening to my concern. The lenses to my new glasses are exactly what I was expecting. Overall, this office isn't the worst place. It's about average. At the end of the day, the office will try to fix the mistake. The optometrist I had listened to my concerns which is a plus as most optometrist just shrug your concerns off. read more

Been going to eye doctors due to scarring on my eye since I was in first grade, now 36. Been in and out of some great offices, Boston Eye & ear, etc - seen many doctors in my time. Dr. Rob Omoto is one of, if not the best Dr. I've had the pleasure of seeing. They stay up to date on their equipment, knowledge and know how to discuss it with their patients. Always takes time to explain as much as you'd like to hear and will listen to your concerns. Great to work with and always goes the extra mile for care and is very clear about what he believes the insurance would cover, etc. Support staff are also excellent and prompt. Can't recommend this place enough. It's nice to go-to a Drs office where folks are efficient, don't keep you waiting and you leave feeling like you got the best care (because you definitely did). read more

My precious optometrist moved so I had to find a new optometrist. I went on Yelp and saw this five star Yelp review optometrist clinic so I gave it a try but my first routine eye exam visit experience was not great. During the exam, I found the optometrist to be rushed and impersonal. He did not take the time to explain the tests they were performing or answer my questions, which left me feeling frustrated and confused. When I asked about the results of the exam, the optometrist seemed dismissive and did not provide me with clear information. I was told I would get a call about their silicon plugs in a few weeks but I never got the call. Additionally, I was disappointed with the selection of eyeglasses available in the office. The frames were outdated and unappealing. Overall, the lack of personal attention left me feeling unsatisfied with my experience. I would not recommend this optometrist office to others. read more

My daughter has had eye issues since she was two and has flare up every so often her normal Dr gave me a anti biotic eye drop and told me to use hot rag or shower when she has issues. One Wednesday she was having a flare up and so I followed the Dr instructions all day and kept my daughter home from school by Wednesday night my daughter was in extreme pain and I was freaking out because how was I going to find a pediatric ophthalmologists in the middle of the night. I decided as a last resort to just give her antihistamines to help her calm down and get her to sleep. The next morning I called her Dr five times left an urgent message and waited , no call back I gave them till 11am no call back. I was desperate because she was still in pain and I didn't know how to help her. I was calling anybody I could to get a same-day appointment . Greenhaven took me in within the hour because they knew it was urgent. I was so impressed by how professional and organized the front desk girl is how they were nice and accommodating and how wonderful Dr. Park is. I'm switching my family doctor to Greenhaven now. On top of seeing my Sr as a new patient same day even though they were busy they fit her in for a free follow up a week later. As it turned out, my daughter had an allergy that was being inflamed by the medication and the directions of her primary doctor. By the way, I did get a phone call from my primary doctor telling me that he would see her on Friday I told him I've already been seen by another doctor and I don't need their services. read more

Great first experience with the optometrist and the office staff. Tons of frame choices!

Went in due to eye pain nearly four months ago, turned out there was a hair in my lower eyelid and Dr. Brian removed it. The next morning my upper eyelid was extremely swollen, and ended up having to go to urgent care over the weekend as it had nearly swollen shut. The infection is so deep that it keeps reoccurring. When I went back for them to look at is, Dr. Rob told me he thought it was cancer. I said that made no sense because it popped up immediately after my last appointment with them and he said that was just a coincidence. He put in a referral to an eyelid surgeon to have it removed but I was never contacted. I called Greenhaven Optometry to find out the name of the doctor they were referring me to but they wouldn't give me the name and just said the referral was placed. It's been two months since that appointment and I've heard nothing. Finally found a new doctor on my own and had surgery to have it removed. He said that the tools used to remove the hair in my eye initially likely weren't sterile, leading to the infection. This has cost me a significant amount of money to try to remedy and I am still in pain and attempting to recover. I would highly recommend avoiding this practice. read more

My wife and I had our second visit this past Saturday morning. Our first visit we forgot to change our appointment time once we found out our grandson had his birthday party 30 minutes after our appointment time. We explained this to Dr Park and staff and they went above and beyond to accommodate us and get us out of there in a a timely manner. This is by far the best Doctors offic in the area. I say Dr's and not Dentist office because I'm putting it in that category. They are very professional and treat everyone with respect. Dr. Robert Omoto is one of the absolute best doctors I have ever seen. Incredibly knowledgeable, helpful, and kind. I've been having dry eye issues and have even been to dry eye specialists who have cost me thousands but only provided me a fraction of the information Dr. Omoto has given me. He's very personable and really takes his time. He doesn't rush you like a majority of doctors do and does not push any treatments. This is my first visit to the Opto since leaving the service. Surprisingly this clinic was right around the corner from where i live.. The staff are wonderful and are all very helpful and accommodating.... ( i am bad at names so forgive me) The clinic is very clean and inviting. Greenhaven Optometry is an excellent place for your eyes. Dr. Steven takes his time to go over your eye exam and also prints a list of what your insurance covers. Dr Steven goes beyond your normal eye exam with reading level distance and asks your questions concerning your eyes. I learned so much and i learned how to take care of my eyes. Crestley took her time to help me pick out my frames and explained to me the about the various add on options for me. You will know exactly what you are getting. The staff was pleasant and friendly. This office has been very rude to me- enjoying that they are unable to help me. I sought to renew a prescription of the same contacts I had been wearing for over a year and they told me I needed a new prescription. I tried to make an appointment and they were booking 1 month out. I was already out of contacts at this point so I went to another office where an eye doctor had me "try" another brand. When I brought the new prescription in they wouldn't allow me to get my original brand- only the new one. The new brand contact lenses made my eyes hurt after just a few hours of wear and are dailies. I just called them to see if I could reorder my original brand and they said no- I actually never even cared about returning my crappy ones they made me buy but they seemed to enjoy telling me I was outside the return window. I received my contacts April 20th and it is now July 8th and somehow I'm outside the 90 day window. The girl answering the phone is rude. I don't want to give this business any support from now on. read more

It has been 5 years since I've been to the eye doctor mainly because I can't keep my eyes open for that dang puff of air; I've gotten yelled at by different doctors for not being able to keep my eyes open (hello, it's natural to close your eyes when you hear a sound!). Anyway, I broke my favorite pair of glasses and was forced to go to the eye doctor in order to get a new pair. I usually go to kaiser but they weren't taking appointments so I stumbled across Greenhaven Optometry and I'm glad I did. I got an appointment pretty fast and all the staff were very kind! The girl didn't yell at me when I couldn't keep my eyes open for the puff of air, and we eventually succeeded! My first fitting for glasses was in the fourth grade, and over the past decade and some change I've seen the Omoto's for all of my optometry needs. Every time I step into their office for a visit, I'm always happily greeted by their staff, many of whom have been with their practice for years. The Omoto's staff is like a big family! I've been seeing Dr. Steve since that first visit in the fourth grade, and he is the best! Beyond having years of expertise as an optometrist, Dr. Steve is extremely friendly and cares about truly getting to know his patients. At my yearly visits, he always manages to balance examining the health of my eyes and "catching up" on my life happenings. And it appears that their office is expanding (and just changed locations)! This year I scheduled my appointment a bit last minute, and Dr. Steve's schedule was full, so I had the opportunity to see Dr. Rob who is a new addition to the Omoto's practice. Although not as chatty as Dr. Steve, he was really nice and extremely thorough during my examination. When fitting for my contacts, Dr. Rob had me try on several different lenses; I appreciated his dedication and patience to finding the "perfect" fit. Although the visit took a bit more time, I knew I was in good hands. There were a bunch of cool new machines that they made me use to test my eyes-- so you can expect to be exposed to the latest technology in eye care (which is rad). I highly recommend Greenhaven Optometry. I had a wonderful experience there. I am really fidgety about my eyes so I don't like to have any drops whatsoever involved and I usually hate having that done. I was pleasantly surprised that this didn't need to happen. April's been my optometrist since I was a third grader that realized I needed spectacles. Being 9 years-old, I was devastated by this news. Luckily, April really eased me in through the process and made getting a prescription super easy and fun. As a 9-year-old I chose the most ridiculous glasses that were wire-framed and round with the lens tinted a rose-color. OH GOD! So embarrassing, but hey, that's the 90's for ya! But times have change and so have my tastes in glasses and April Omoto's staff has catered to all of it. She has a variety of frames to choose from but if you're super picky like me and don't see one you like; they have a list of designers that you can research at home and order it by calling April's staff and giving them the product number. That's what I did with my last two at least! This place is super small but super great. The staff is incredibly nice. Now, they're a lot younger than I remember and are very hip / tasteful as far as choosing frames goes which is a plus. I really love them! They pretty much catered to all my finicky frame needs and I am so grateful for that. April herself is such a wonderful doctor. She'll have a conversation with your during the whole check-up process and before you know it, you're done! Although I don't live in the greenhaven/pocket area anymore, I'll keep of coming back just for all of them! Thank you! I'll be coming back soon to get a new pair of frames! read more

Wow that 1-Star review is an anomaly ! I've never had issues with this office, the people there, nor the phones, the email system, or their social media presence. That said ... I don't carry vision insurance, so was seeking someone not about to gouge me with insurance company prices, when I went shopping for a new optometrist in my new neighborhood, to obtain new glasses and new contacts. Dr. Steve Omoto bent over backwards every step of the way to shave as many dollars off my costs, and offer every manufacturers' rebate possible. My Depression-era Mother would've been so proud of his herculean efforts ! I love Dr. Steve. My first patient visit was like meeting a cool new friend and all visits that followed were like hanging out with an old pal. Though I know how popular their practice is, he spent all the time in the world with me, answered all my myriad questions, and explained all his, new to me, testing toys. My every interaction with the entire staff is always fast and friendly. I've been going to greenhaven optometry since I was probably 5 years old. Dr. April is very detailed and does not take any short cuts. One of the reasons why I love this office is because the doctors will answer any question. The doctors in the practice are very knowledgeable and continue to keep up with technology. The doctors make sure you get the best for dollar when ordering. Unfortunately, I have glasses and contacts so usually my eye appointments are expensive. This is probably my favorite medical appointment of the year just because of the doctors. read more

I was in search for a new optometrist due to new insurance. I came across this place because of 5 stars and happens to be in a area I am familiar with I decided to schedule an appt online which shows you on a calendar what days are available and what days are greyed out. A few days later I received a email that the date I picked is not available and that I need to reschedule.. Ok?? So this time I call the office and speak to front desk to schedule an appt with a person, after she gave me dates and tines to choose from, we set a date even though it was a little farther out than I wanted but whatever. Appt was set. Two days later I get a text/email that the appt I set with the receptionist isn't available and need to reschedule... What the hell?!?! Ugh NO THANKS! They truely care about all aspects of your health and make certain you are thoroughly checked out and cared for. The staff is warm and friendly and very helpful. Not very happy with the service. I always have to accommodate the provider when I can come in and not the other way around. It is NOT very easy for me to take off from work whenever possible just to get an appointment. They DON'T even work with you at all. This is THREE YEARS in a row this has happened. I've been coming here for over 20 years. I started with Dr. Steve and now I go to his son, Dr. Rob, who will one day takeover the business. They are both amazing and always remember me and make me feel like they really care about me as a patient and customer. I don't think I've never had a negative experience here and through the years the technology just gets better and better. They recently have started to get RayBan frames and if they don't have them in the office, they can order almost any RayBan style (which I love). One year I wanted to try transitions and hated them, they changed the lenses for me at no charge. They call and email you to remind you to book an appointment yearly and also send you appointment reminders. I would be devastated if I had to find another eye doctor. read more
