Hands down the BEST eye doctor in town! If you are searching for a pleasant, honest, friendly optometrist, look no further. Dr. Ha is the best of the best. Today my 5 year old son and I had our first visit with Dr. Ha. My son was extremely nervous all day and even threw a fit because he had to go see the eye doctor. However when it was time, he didn't have a choice and so off we went. Upon arrival, we were greated by Dr. Ha's staff. They were all welcoming and friendly. One of them even went out of her way to get toys for my 2 year old to play with while my 5 year old and I browsed for frames. I've never been to an eye doctor who loved kids this much. This was already a big 5 star for me. Heck, it's not easy managing 2 highly energetic boys in an office! Then it was time for our exam. Dr. Ha and her staff were so patient with my 5 year old and I. My son was very hesitant to do the exam at first and even ended up just sounding out the letters instead of saying it, but it was no biggie for Dr. Ha. She even had these cute little glasses for him to wear which made it much easier for him to feel like he was playing a game rather than going through an eye exam. This lady no doubt specializes in children and does an amazingly GREAT job with them! And trust me, my son has had many BAD eye doctors (hence the reason why he didn't want to go today). Oh, and her selection of frames are phenomenal!! There's tom ford, gucci, ray ban and many many more to choose from. The staff did such an amazing job helping my son pick out his frame that he insisted to wear it during his duration of his visit (haha). As we drive home, my son goes "mama those people are so nice. I just love them, especially the cute doctor. Can we always go there please?" Thanks Dr. Ha for such a great experience today! We can't wait to come visit again once our frames are in! read more

Dr. Ha and her staff are the best in town!! Whenever I come in everyone is always so nice and friendly. Thank you Dr. Ha for getting my vision back to 20/20 with scleral lenses. Thank you staff for being so nice and kind every time I come in. I haven't had 20/20 vision since I was young so thank you so much! Your the best and will be going here from here on out. Also, you can tell Dr. Ha truly cares for her patients needs and cares that she wants you to get back 20/20 vision again. read more

Not sure why this place has great rating? Came here because of their 4.5 stars which typically means way above average. Probably more like a 3 star but customer service and little details bump them down for me. 1. Ordered glasses and contacts. I basically have to call and follow up after not hearing from them for weeks. When I did call, they couldn't find the order and had to get further details from other staff members later in the day. 2. During the pickup, asked them if they could help adjust a couple pairs of glasses. A strait forward task any other optometrists office would do. They did it but the worker was clearly annoyed. Plus when I've done this at other places, they would wipe down or spray clean the glasses before handing them back. Nope not here, glasses get returned with the lenses smudged up. Oh and the glasses selection is just ok. I'll continue my search for a "home" optometrist. read more

Dr. Ha and her staff are great. Exceptional service at VisionCare Optometry. The staff is knowledgeable, courteous, and efficient. Dr. Ha always provides a thorough eye exam and addresses all of my questions and concerns. The selection of eyewear is impressive; from price conscious frames to independent brands to high end designer frames. Tiffany helped me find the perfect frames that fits my style and facial structure. She is very patient, knowledgeable and extremely helpful. Overall, a top-notch experience - highly recommend! read more

I'm sorry I have to give this store a 2 star because I really liked Dr. Ha. She was very thorough and explained things that other Dr's I've been to never did. In other words Dr. Ha was exceptional at her job! However, the staff that is SUPPOSED to help you with purchasing your glasses were extremely unhelpful. While I was there I had to pick out the glasses I thought I might look good on me with no assistance and then when I needed a second opinion I had to ask other customers what they thought because the staff had completely abandoned me. Now, I'm by far not a demanding person and if you were to see my other reviews on businesses I usually always give 5 stars but, in this case I was less than satisfied with their customer service. I've been to Sunglass Hut in Lake Tahoe and the staff their spent much more time in helping me with non presubscription glasses than Vision Care did. read more

I have been a patient of Dr. Ha for several years now & she is fantastic! I am always able to schedule an appointment, even when I wait until the last minute. Her office is very clean, organized and chic, and her staff are all professional and friendly. I recently tried her new Optilight treatment and was so impressed with the results after only 1 treatment! My contact lenses ship quickly and Dr.Ha provides me with extra sets to last me until they arrive or for travel. read more

I love and look forward to coming here every eye exam. The staff is really happy and very helpful. It's nice to see that even though there's been some turnaround they've managed to still keep the good ones read more

This office is rude and unprofessional. Particularly the girl(s) in the front. I called to schedule my daughters yearly eye exam. They called me back the day before my daughters appt to tell me they would need to reschedule because their office would be closed (as if they already don't have limited availability in their scheduling). The message they left me stated I would need to call back if I wanted to reschedule this appt. that was ALREADY made. So I called back. NO ANSWER. I left a message. NO RETURN call. I called back a different day. I expressed my frustration to the girl who answered about all this and all she said "ok so do you want to schedule her yearly appt now". PASS! What so you can schedule me on another closed day and not call me back. There's plenty of other offices in eg to choose from. Dr Ha should really choose a more professional, intelligent and efficient staff. read more

Awesome service! Great staff and Doctor Ha is amazing. I love that I can communicate with the staff through text.

Such a great office with amazing staff! A welcoming and friendly atmosphere that my whole family appreciates. They have the best selection of eyewear and quick turn around. I also look forward to other new services they are beginning to offer! read more

BEWARE of THIS OFFICE OVERCHARGING YOU FOR GLASSES AND SERVICE. MAKE SURE THEY BILL YOUR INSURANCE CORRECTLY; OTHERWISE, THEY WILL REFUSE TO CORRECT THE BILLING ERROR! I learned that this office did not properly coordinate my and my husband's insurance plan and consequently got overcharged for his glasses and other fees. Although the office acknowledged that the insurance plan was not coordinated properly, they still refuse to reprocess the claim with the insurance company. Tiffany, the front office, basically told my husband that they've already billed his insurance (got their money basically) and that he needs to resolve the claim directly with the insurance company, VSP. Wow! I'm appalled by this office's lack of customer service! We contacted VSP, who told us that the doctor's office only has to request them "to reprocess the claim as a coordination of benefits." The VSP representative was even kind enough to contact the doctor's office directly offering to help re-process the claim correctly, yet this office still refuses to spend a few minutes of their time to correctly reprocess our claim. I have experienced insurance billing errors with other doctor offices before, but have never experienced anyone refusing to help correct a billing error. We are now left not being able to recover the full insurance reimbursement. This has not been the only mistake they made in the past. I stopped taking my daughter there because they improperly handled my daughter's glasses as well. We are a family of four and they have lost our business. Our new optometrist office is amazing and I have not had to deal with these types of costly mistakes or bad customer service. If I could give zero stars to this office, I would. read more

Dr. Ha and her staff are the best! My two children and I came to get our exams & determined on our new eyewear. I decided as the kids' were getting their exams to pick out my sunglasses. The two staff helping me were so patient and helpful. I'm very particular because I want it to look right with my face shape. They took the time helping me select a variety/selection within my price range to try on. They never pressured me to purchase. When it was time for me to see Dr. Ha, she was bubbly, as always, and made me feel comfortable. When I was done with my exam & resumed my sunglasses selection, she also gave me a pair to try that I wouldn't normally go for because I'm used to the big square kind. I'm so glad because I'm in love with them & I had to pack them to Florida with me. Thank you Dr.Ha and staff for your patience & helpfulness. read more

I was pleasantly surprised with my initial interaction with Dr. Ha. The office is clean and the staff is friendly, attentive and seems competent. Dr. Ha explained as she went along the exam and was friendly and warm. We have been with another optometrist for almost 8 years and while he was friendly, he seems to be always in a rush and never really explained what he was doing nor what he found out. But the reason why we decided to find another opto was that we just had enough with his staff, an old lady who does not seem to care and finds excuses not to do what she is supposed to do, and a black dude who is friendly enough but promises a lot of things and then does nothing when its time to deliver. Im glad we got Dr. Ha...hopefully its not a first time thing... read more

I hadn't been to the eye doctor in a LONG time so I was a little nervous. Dr. Ha made me feel comfortable and spent plenty of time chatting with me and getting to know me before starting the exam.. which.. by the way, was a piece of cake. I got contact lenses and Dr. Ha took lots of time making sure I was comfortable taking them in and out, asking if I had questions, explaining everything. I never felt rushed, I never felt like I was asking a dumb question. If you're looking for an eye doctor, please consider Dr. Ha. She's wonderful, I will refer my friends and family without hesitation. read more

Dr Ha and all of the office staff are great. This is the place to go for a friendly exam where you're treated as a person and not a number. Dr Ha is very friendly and explains things to you and just doesn't rush you out like some other doctor's do. It's great that you get email and text message reminders for your appointments. Most of us are so busy that we don't have time for voicemail. read more

Dr. Ha is a wonderful doctor! She is friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful. The staff is always so nice and welcoming when you come in. They have a great selection of frames too! Before I meet Dr. Ha, I just couldn't bring myself to wear contact lens. She was able to help me overcome my fear of touching my eye. I appreciated her patience and willingness to help me. I would absolutely recommend Dr. Ha to my friends, family, co-workers, or anyone else looking for a wonderful family optometrist. read more

VisionCare Optometry is a very professional and hip location in Elk Grove. Dr. Ha is very friendly and knowledgeable. She has helped me and my wife in making sure our eyes are working the way they should be. Tim in the office has a great sense for the frames and lenses. I have recommended co-workers and clients to VisionCare and they all have said that they are continuing with them as their provider. Great job everyone!! read more

My optometry apt was mid Sept 2017, and here it is approaching Dec 2017, and I still do not have my glasses in hand. I've had to send them back twice. Not sure if it's a Visioncare problem or the lab problem, but it shouldn't take 2+ mos for a set of glasses. First time the prescription wasn't aligned properly, and second time the right lens wasn't cut properly and wouldn't seat in the frame. The service has been great, truly a very friendly and helpful team. Receiving what I paid for has been a completely different story. UPDATE - Here we are into Dec, and still no glasses, was told they were shipped at Thanksgiving. V/C reported the glasses went back to be repaired and the lab broke the frame, having to order new frames (special order). New frame received and sent to V/C, but lab didn't drill lenses. Sent frame/lenses back to be finished, this is where we stand going into Dec. read more

If I can give them zero stars I would. Snotty staff, overpriced and disorganized. Promise to have glasses in by Monday, finally called Friday at 4:30 and was told had not arrived. Received an email literally 10 minutes later saying the glasses were in stock. They closed at 5 so I spent a week in San Diego without my $500 sunglasses. Alerted office manager, never got apology or even a response! read more

Well I was happy with this office till now. I drive over 30 mins to come here cause my friend told me how great they are. I understand that scheduling on a sat is very special and all and I accidentally missed my appt today due to being up all night with my newborn and slept through my alarm. Now I have to pay a $30 charge. So I rescheduled my appt and was informed I can't have another sat for at least year. So I hung up and then realized, why drive out of my way and give my money to an office who has no understanding for someone overwhelmed with newborn? So I called back and cancelled and will find an eye doctor closer to where I live. I worked for a dental office and always waived the first missed appt as a warning, even if it happened on a sat, cause we understood things happen. We officially charged on the 2nd missed appt. When I called back to cancel and tell them to Bill me they just said, ok thanks. Didn't even try to keep me as a patient. I also let my friend know and she too is canceling her appts and going elsewhere. read more

The people are very friendly. But I have one complaint. I have vision insurance and the receipt they gave me did not break down the charges. After I got my glasses I went to the web site for my insurance and at that time realized they had given and charged me for the most expensive progressive lenses. Which cost me $40 extra. I had told them I would pass on that and get the cheaper progressives at the time I ordered them.. Instead of just refunding me for their mistake they want to make a whole new pair of glasses and return these. They could same me time, them time and the expense of making a whole new pair of glasses by just refunding the $40 for their mistake. read more

I started going to see Doctor Ha in 2009. I look forward to my yearly exams with her. I have never had a problem with any of my glasses or appointments. She has helped me understand my eye sight more and how to improve/manage it. Her frame selection is EXCELLENT! She always has the latest trends in glasses and sunglasses. Her staff is helpful in letting me know what my insurance covers in selecting my frames/contacts. Before going to see her I had never worn contacts and they were very hard for me to get them in my eyes. She kept encouraging me to give them a try and I am so glad she did! I love going back and forth between wearing frames and glasses because it is a nice change. Had she never encouraged me, I probably would be wearing glasses every day. Aside from the great customer service, this is a great location as well. It is very close to my home and right off of Elk Grove Florin. After seeing her the first few times, I recruited all of my family as her patients and some friends as well. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a great, knowledgeable and local eye doctor that has a wonderful selection of frames. read more

The staff is very courteous, professional, and knowledgeable about VSP insurance. Dr. Ha is very personable and efficient. An overall pleasant experience. My husband and I have been going to Dr. Ha for years. Our experience with Dr. Ha have been pleasant. This review is for our ongoing frustration and experience with the staff. - inconsistent information: in 2016, I came in for contacts fitting. I purchased a couple boxes of contacts, which came up to $170, using my $200 VSP benefits. One of the staff who was helping told me that she would bill VSP $200 to exhaust/maximize the year's benefits, and the remaining $30 would just carry over to the next calendar year. I agreed and left. Next year came around, I inquired about the $30 credit but was told that credits don't carry over to the next year and they only billed VSP the cost of my contacts in the previous year... sure, you did... - don't return calls: my husband picked up my new glasses from the office a couple of months ago. Upon trying the glasses on, i noticed the transitional coating is very dark and sensitive. I would walk into a well lit room and the the lenses would change to the darkest shade, which is quite annoying. I called Dr. Ha's office to inquire about a redo but was picked up by the answering machine. I left a detailed voicemail of my issues and my contacts, and requested that they call me back. In the mean time, I went back to my old prescription. Two months went by, still no word from Dr. Ha's office. I called the office again and left the same voicemail last week, and someone finally called me back today... only to tell me about the 60 day redo policy. I explained to them that I called them the week after my husband picked up my glasses but no one returned my call. The staff I spoke to told me that I should have stopped by the office if no one returned my call. Seriously? how ridiculous! Told her I'm taking my business elsewhere and hung up on them. read more
