The team communicated clearly, answered my questions, and made the entire appointment easy and stress-free. I've been seeing Dr. Nakamura for over 10 years, and I can honestly say he has always been incredibly kind, patient, and professional. He consistently takes the time to listen to my concerns and explains everything in a way that's easy to understand, never making me feel rushed. Over the years, he's provided such consistent, high-quality care, which is why I've continued to go back. It's rare to find a doctor who is not only knowledgeable but also genuinely caring, and Dr. Nakamura truly stands out. I always leave feeling comfortable, well taken care of, and confident in my care. I highly recommend him! read more

First time here and when I walked in I was blown away with the layout, how large it is and how many employees work here. I've always went to small offices with maybe 2-3 employees so I was not used to this. They helped me right away and I had my exam right away. Each person that helped me was so friendly. The amount of frames they have are really good. I picked some really cute YSL frames. I can't wait to get them! read more

Honestly, amazing! Super quick and efficient appointment. I have so many horror stories from the optometrists I've been to in the past and this place felt like heaven on earth for people who need glasses. Fantastic! read more

This is my third year coming to Natomas Optometry, and I always feel welcomed by the friendly and professional staff. I don't mind driving 23 minutes out of my way because I know I'll receive excellent service. During today's visit, Amy patiently explained the best options for possibly changing the lenses in my glasses. She is always friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. I highly recommend Natomas Optometry! read more

The place looks nice but the only thing that bothered me is that I wasn't allowed to put a movie for my daughter she wasn't crying in that moment so i decided to put it on before. It wasn't loud at all and I was told to turn it off because it wasn't allowed they do have a policy to not be on your phone or taking videos But if we can't even put a movie on for our little ones to entertainment they should put a policy that says no kids read more

The office is a beautiful space and very well kept. I was welcomed upon walking in and told about their phone policy, no phone use in office and silence mode. I appreciate that because it makes for a peaceful environment. As a first time patient, I was asked to fill out the forms and was quickly called into the back to get my eye exam started. They were all very patient with me and my kids as we navigated the tests. The Doctor was a very kind lady and very knowledgeable. I felt very comfortable with her doing my daughter's eye first ever eye exam. Once we finished, she discussed how are vision works and results from the test. We went out to choose our glasses and made an order. We got our glasses 3 weeks later. They're so cute! Very grateful to have found this office who accepts my insurance. read more

Such a great experience at Natomas Optometry! Dr. Nathaniel Charney, O.D. was so kind and understanding. I really liked his calm, caring vibe , no matter how many questions I had, he answered every single one with patience and a smile. You can tell he truly cares about his patients and knows what he's doing. He saw not only me, but also my 6-year-old and my teen son. We recently started using contacts, and Yo-Yo was amazing helping me learn how to put mine in and take them out , I actually got it on the first try thanks to him! He was amazing! My teen was helped by someone else who was super patient and made sure he felt confident before leaving, even though it took him a bit longer. The front office team is also wonderful everyone is welcoming, friendly, and really on top of things. And the office manager deserves a shout-out too she's so stylish, sweet, and just makes the place feel happy and organized. After having a not-so-great experience at Kaiser, coming here felt like such a relief. My family and I feel truly cared for at Natomas Optometry. Thank you all for being so kind and professional , we'll definitely be back! :) read more

I have been seeing Dr. Ryan Nakamura for many years, way before 2014, and I am pleased with his service and knowledge of my eye care. Everyone in the office is very knowledgeable and pleasant to work with. I will definitely recommend this office to my family and friends. read more

I ordered a pair of glasses from here and they came in on time, but after I took them home and started wearing them, they began to develop a crack at the outer upper corners. I took them back and showed them, so they remade the glasses and that pair did the same thing. After I went back again, they made a third new pair and the same problem happened again, but this time was worse, probably because I never took them back. I wont be using them anymore. read more

Yo-yo is the man he helped me with my glasses problem today and recommended me a bunch of options he's the man to go too!!

While I previously loved this place because it looks nice, has a good frame selection, and Doctors Lew and Charney are great, the staff are horrible. If there's an issue, it becomes apparent very quickly that this office is just focused on profit and not customer satisfaction. The staff, including office managers make up policies assuming every patient is unaware of typical frame and lens options and optical best practices and policies. My family spent a good deal of money here annually and got every add-on but we've since found an office that values their patients. read more

I had a fantastic experience with Yoyo, who helped me with my contact lenses. First off, he noticed that I'm wearing contact lenses so he offered to wrap up my glasses (since I didn't bring the case). What really stood out was the level of patience and genuine care he showed throughout the process. He answered all my questions without rushing and made sure I am completely taken care of before I left. It's rare to find such great customer service, and I truly appreciated his dedication and friendliness. I highly recommend this place! Clean, modern and very well-organized. Amazing and knowledgeable staff. Thank you for making my visit such a positive one! read more

First off - the doctors here, Dr. Nakamura & Dr Lui are perfect. Dr Nakamura treats me like family and Dr Lui is very professional and personable. And the individuals that helped me with my eyewear - Amy & Yoyo - are VERY knowledgeable and they are not trying to "upsell" you. They are patient, and they take care of you. They really do help your money go a long way. They give you information so that you can make an informed decision. I have been coming to Natomas Optometry for a long time, despite being a long way to travel for an eye appointment, but I love how I am treated here and I will always come back. read more

Searched Yelp to find an optometrist due to my regular place was booked till next year. Decided to give this place a try. Loved how clean and organized the place was. There were lots of staff helping to make sure you are taken care of. The optometrist was super helpful and walked through the images and explained everything well. Dr. Lew and her team are amazing. We have been clients since 2018, and have always received a warm greeting. Our recent appointment was beyond exceptional. My kid needed new glasses and was very hesitant to change her frames. Gurleen spent an hour showing her different styles and somehow magically found a pair that my kid fell in love with. She provided high-level customer support with a genuine smile and interest. Thank you!! read more

Great set of choices to select from and my daughter got her prescription glasses quick and it fit perfectly too! Friendly staff!!!

I was referred to Natomas Optometry and it was the best referral ever! The staff, are AMAZING! Especially Amy, who always goes above and beyond to help me and then I also referred my daughter. Amy was personable, provided her recommendations as far as frames and add-ons. There are so many brands and styles to select from. You name, Burberry, Versace, Gucci, and other brands such as Coach or Kate Spade. You'll get lost in the selection of what frames to pick from! My glasses did not take too long after sending it off to the lab, 5 days the most. I am happy with my glasses and the service. My go to eye care, I even got two pairs! read more

Upon entering, they front staff warmly greeted me and checked me in. I filled out a form, and within minutes, they started my eye exam. The optometrist was really friendly and answered all my questions patiently. After that, I checked out the glasses and asked the staff to help me choose which one out of the 3 glasses would better match me. What a smooth process! 1-2 weeks later, my glasses were ready! They texted me, and I walked in to pick them up. Definitely, I'll return to this place for another pair! Luckily, my work offers 1 pair per year! read more

A few years ago we switched to Natomas Optometry from another provider. It was one of the best decisions we've ever made. From the moment you walk in the door. The entire staff is friendly, helpful and professional, from reception, the doctor, and optician. Yoyo (sp?) and Sophia provided great advice when choosing glasses and were amazing explaining and process the insurance. read more

I've been a patient at this office for several years, mainly because I really liked and trusted one of the doctors here. Unfortunately, the rest of the experience has never lived up to that standard. The front office staff have always lacked warmth or any sense of personal care. It feels like they're running a high-volume factory more than a healthcare practice. There's no effort to make patients feel seen or respected. The worst part is how poorly they handle schedule changes. Recently, the doctor I normally see called out for the day. Rather than giving me a simple courtesy call, they silently reassigned me to a completely different doctor. No explanation, no option to reschedule, no consideration at all -- just business as usual. Funny how they have no trouble calling, emailing and texting multiple times to confirm the appointment, but can't manage a quick call to let you know the actual doctor won't be there. I've stayed loyal out of habit and appreciation for one provider, but the lack of basic respect and communication from the office is unacceptable. I won't be returning. read more

Awesome experience. They were very knowledgeable and they have a wide selection of frames for every price range possible. They have a great repair service as well, which I have personally used for my glasses and was very happy with it!!! read more

This office has gone down significantly in the last few years. I haven't been back in two years and thought I'd give it another try but they've proven again why I stopped going in the first place. The quality of support is subpar and office staff are unfriendly and don't seem to know what they're doing. The prices have become exorbitant and the office as a whole has lost its personal touch that made me once love this office when a first opened over on Truxel Road. Don't waste your time and money here. read more

Gurleen was such a sweetheart when it came to adjusting my eye glasses and cleaned them up for me.

I'm seldom able to find frames that are flattering and fit my face well. But I decided to give this place a try after seeing all the positive reviews regarding their wide selection of eyewear. I'm so glad I did. I was finally able to find a pair of glasses AND sunglasses that I love. Also, everyone there is so friendly and welcoming. Special shout out to Gurleen, who was so sweet and helped me pick, order, and fit my frames. She made sure I was 100% satisfied with my order, which I truly appreciate! If you're in need of new sunnies or glasses, I would recommend checking this place out! read more

This is my 12th year being a patient. As usual, all staff are friendly and helpful. The selection of frames are also extensive. The office is fresh and orderly. I especially appreciate Dr. Myra Lew and optician YoYo for their commitment to providing excellent and utmost professional service. Dr. Lew's eye exaination is thorough, and I am thankful for it since my eyesight correction includes prism adjustment and astigmatism. Optician YoYo has many years of experience, and it is evident because he assists in my selection of the perfect frame based on the shape, size and color of the frame to compliment the shape, size and color of my face. Doctors here are amazing, very smart a knowledgeable (duh).. however their staff is not. Hidden "copay fees" and ridiculous prices pushed in your face that weren't discussed on the phone PRIOR TO MAKING YOUR APPOINTMENT. This is why I stopped coming here years ago!! Go to Costco!! Or order glasses through the ZEELOL app, their glasses are both affordable and in great condition screw this place and their hidden fees and outrageous prices!! I remember my fitting for my daughter who was looking for glasses to get, the lady there kept trying to sell us the most expensive ones!! HUH?!
