I've worn glasses all my life. And the things you need most to protect are you eyes (and your teeth). So when it comes to my eyes, I go for the lightest lenses you can get in the lightest frames you can get. The lightest frames are Lindberg, and there's only a handful of stores that carry them... the first one I found was at Arden Mall, who stopped carrying them. The second place was Indi Visual Eyes. I used to support Natomas Optometry, but after a couple of bad prescriptions, I decided to use Kelvin Sue - who is the optometrist attached to this joint. When I'm done with my eye exam, I just walk over to Curtis. I've gotten 3 pairs of Lindbergs from Indi Visual Eyes and so long as Curtis is here, I'll keep getting them. He takes the time to walk you through the lens selection. After he get your prescription, he has you put on the glasses and dots your eyes in the right place. And then he goes and cuts the lenses. Please take your money to somebody that will respect you Absolutely brutal. I've never been treated so poorly by a small shop like this. I have been a customer for seven years, making expensive purchases yearly. I recently spent almost $1000 on glasses. A few months later, the nose bridge snapped. In 40 years of wearing glasses, never has this happened. I brought the frames back, and the only proposed solution was to pay full-blown retail for the replacement, but I was "lucky" they had a replacement pair on hand. That experience was annoying, but it happens. Last week, the new ones fail. Again. In the same spot. I bring them back. Again. This time, I'm given two insulting options; order a new pair, again, at full-blown retail, and wait, or send them to (the specific manufacturer), wait for an assessment, wait for a judgement. It's common knowledge that there is one massive manufacturer that covers about 85% of all glasses sold at an average margin of 80%. How much more money do these people need from me? I just to be able to see the tv. These are my primary spectacles. There was no offer of any solution for my vision. Not to pick out a new pair, not any discount, not anything. I was literally dismissed from the office. It was absolutely humiliating and frustrating. I still have no glasses. Apparently that's what passes for customer service these days? I do my best to support small businesses, but these people don't deserve my money. Or yours. Take it to someone that actually cares. read more

This place fixes frames and lenses. They also have a wide variety of new frames and can do your prescriptions. Indi Visual Eyes saved me hundreds by fixing my frames (welding them) after I accidentally sat on them. They look and feel new and it was $35.00. It is downtown but they made parking easy. You just pull into the parking lot on the left side on 12th, just past K Street (I think it's the parking for the Hilton) and Indi Visual Eyes validates your parking. So convenient. read more

This place is amazing! Ordered glasses here and had to come back a few times to adjust it, which they were really happy to help with. My glasses took about a week to get because they didn't have the lenses, but it usually takes 30 minutes to put the lenses in if they have the lenses available. This is a hidden gem in the world of Sacramento optometry. I say hidden gem because its location across from the Imax theater next to Tequila Museo can not be seen from the main streets and attracts the bare minimum of window shoppers. This means they rely on referrals and word of mouth, and I am happy to give my recommendation. My lady needed some new prescription shades and Indivisual Eyes was recommended to her. It wasn't crowded at all when we went to pick the glasses up, allowing for the employees to give her a lot of polite, one-on-one attention. Because I am out of the one year replacement timeframe, I had to scramble to find a solution to this problem. A quick Yelp search for "eyeglass repair", lead me to Indi Visual Eyes. Upon entering the store I noticed the clean arrangement of the store, and large assortment of designer sunglasses and prescription eyeglasses. I was assisted by a gentleman that looked at my frames, and immediately knew what I was in there for. Without asking any questions, he took my glasses to a backroom and came back with a repaired, cleaned pair of glasses. He explained that one of the supports that held the temple together was bent (thankfully not broken). Best of all...he advised me that the adjustment would be free of charge! Based on the level of customer service that I received (and the variety of eyeglasses), I will consider purchasing my next pair of prescription frame here. read more

The women working was so helpful and took me around the store giving me different glasses to try on etc. She was super honest (in a good way) and I could tell she genuinely wanted me to find a pair of glasses that I liked rather then just get the sale. I am so glad my friend recommended this store to me. I have been going to my optometrist for glasses the past two times I've ordered glasses and, while I always like my glasses, I don't looooooooooove my glasses.
