The friendly woman working the scales told me the minimum entry fee is $40. I almost didn't go in because of the high price. A lower price would encourage more people to go here and discourage illegal dumping. I did however pay the entry fee and dump my stuff. I don't want to get in trouble with anyone for illegal dumping, I don't want to hurt the environment, and car seats are way too big for me to put in my dumpster. So I feel good about not littering. One thing I like about this place is that I got to find out how much my car weighs. We didn't have that much, but did't want to wait to put in the trash. Our garage was now clean! I've never been to an actual dump like this, so the experience was pretty interesting. You pull up to an attendant, he estimates the load and weighs the total vehicle. Pay your fee and head up the road. Unload and you are off on your way. Easier than I imagined. Downsides are the smell as you get closer to the dump area and the seagulls, but what do expect for a total DUMP? Lol.

The operation is well organized, with plenty of parking available. The lazy employee just put my recycle bin on the side without picking it up. Just once a week and they can't even do their job properly. I moved here from SSF. For 13 years living there I never had to call SSF Scavenger once for a missed pick up. Just moved here December and this is the fifth time I called for a missed pick up. Customer service keeps saying someone is coming back but they never do. This is just laziness probably management is also incompetent. Just do your job because I'm paying good money for pick up once a week.
