He offered suggestions and ideas as well. I just wanted simple, low maintenance with rocks, and just enough grass for my dog. Their quote (with a large amount of rocks) was better than a quote with just grass and their sprinkler redo price was almost $1000 cheaper. They also completed the work while it was raining and had leftover grass that they laid in my neighbors yard (aside from the area we fixed bc the pool company destroyed their grass and sprinklers) at no extra charge. My grass never looked terribly patchy, so they must have high standards of what trash will lay and how they lay it. I highly recommend them.

Nick was always prompt as well as very honest when talking through all my options. I used CountryScapes for a new irrigation system, masonry, and landscaping. Roberto did an absolute phenomenal job in the masonry work which was I was most concerned with. My wife was concerned with everything matching the house colors and it did perfectly! They were even able to use the leftover house brick from when our house was built!! They put all new mulch and planted new plants in our front flowerbed which looks great. I also asked them to install new Zoysa sod in front yard due to the challenges that we've had with shade from our big bnb oak trees. The sod looks amazing and have recieved tons of compliments from friends and neighbors. Thank you to CountryScapes for all the stellar work and I will definitely be referring people their way!

It was a HUGE project. Neely Brothers gave me a fair price, the whole crew was super friendly and professional, and I couldn't be happier with the results. We found another company and never looked back.

Earlier this winter, I properly winterized our irrigation system using the blowout method. Not long after, we noticed unusually high water bills and suspected a leak. We brought in a plumber to inspect the house and Cox Irrigation to check the irrigation system. The plumber ultimately found the issue--a water heater problem--but Cox Irrigation told my wife (while I was out of town for work) that they found no issues and left. A few weeks later, Winter Storm Fern hit. Shortly afterward, we discovered a major irrigation leak. That's when we realized Cox Irrigation had turned our irrigation system back on during their earlier visit--and left it on--meaning the system was no longer winterized going into a freeze. We had them return to provide a repair estimate. They identified cracks in our previously intact above-ground backflow preventer but completely missed the larger leak. My wife approved a $1,300 repair based on their assessment. As I became more involved, it became clear that Cox Irrigation's actions may have directly contributed to the damage. I contacted the company to raise this concern and ask for a reasonable adjustment to the bill. Instead of any attempt at resolution, I received a call from the owner, Joe Cox, who responded with a profanity-laced tirade. He dismissed our concerns, claimed we couldn't prove anything, and hid behind the fact that the repair had already been approved. He then escalated things further by threatening to come onto our property and remove the backflow preventer--despite me clearly stating multiple times that we intended to pay the invoice (that actually breaks three laws in Texas). This was not just poor service--it was deeply unprofessional and aggressive behavior from the owner of the company. At no point did he attempt to listen, de-escalate, or provide even basic customer service. Between the apparent mishandling of our irrigation system, incomplete diagnostics, poor communication, and the owner's conduct, I cannot recommend Cox Irrigation to anyone.

Since I work from home and my office looks out onto our front yard I can see when the crew comes. They're supposed to do the front and back yard. I noticed a few weeks ago they did the front and took off. So I called Sullivan's to complain. They apologized and sent the team back out a few hours later. Last Wednesday they came (the next time after the issue a few weeks ago) and once again did only the front yard then left. I called the company again to complain. They remembered the last incident and I was told a manager would be informed and someone would call me back. Here we are a week later and still no communication. In my opinion this is akin to stealing. I paid for the whole yard to be done but only a half job was completed. I have no idea how many times this has happened and I didn't notice, but I suspect quite often. The worst part, though, is that management never bothered to call me back or remedy the situation. That's terrible customer service. So, today I called them to discontinue their services. The person who answered recognized me. She made NO mention of my complaint and didn't ask why I was letting them go. It's clear there was absolutely no intention to provide us the service we paid for nor even acknowledge the situation. So, they're fired.
