He mapped the utility lines, put together a detailed site map, watering schedule, and came out and installed a four zone sprinkler system over the course of a couple days, leaving behind little if any mess. My system was smaller, so he worked with me to install a spigot-based battery-powered system rather than a full-on wired system that would have had to connect to my main water line and been much more expensive. They also completed the work while it was raining and had leftover grass that they laid in my neighbors yard (aside from the area we fixed bc the pool company destroyed their grass and sprinklers) at no extra charge. My grass never looked terribly patchy, so they must have high standards of what trash will lay and how they lay it. I highly recommend them.

Nick was always prompt as well as very honest when talking through all my options. I used CountryScapes for a new irrigation system, masonry, and landscaping. Roberto did an absolute phenomenal job in the masonry work which was I was most concerned with. My wife was concerned with everything matching the house colors and it did perfectly! They were even able to use the leftover house brick from when our house was built!! They put all new mulch and planted new plants in our front flowerbed which looks great. I also asked them to install new Zoysa sod in front yard due to the challenges that we've had with shade from our big bnb oak trees. The recent rains had our weeds sprouting up like, well, you know, and being busy professionals ourselves, we just didn't have the time to keep up with it. The by-phone estimate for 43,560 square feet of yard was $100. Within 2 hours of our call, a team of 3 fully equipped lawn ninjas were relayed to our property. Due to the deplorable condition of our yard (lots of 2 foot high weeds - yikes- plus a huge hill to mow & weed-eat), the estimate grew to $175, which we were happy to pay to get the yard back under control. Within 90 minutes after *that*, our huge yard had been completely transformed: all grass cut to golf course specs, 200 ft concrete driveway edged, weed-eating done around 20+ trees and the pool fence, steep hillside trimmed perfectly, cuttings mulched back into the lawn. Holy cow! I am impressed. Your experience may vary, but we were lucky to call on the day for which ALM happened to be in our part of town, so we received same day service. What a relief to find a lawn service that is so prompt, thorough, and reliable. Our neighbors will be happy to know that we will now be on the regular biweekly rotation for ALM.

Had a bad experience with Good Neighbor Lawn Care. I'd read the rave reviews and decided to give…read morethem a shot. We have less than a quarter acre in a subdivision, but paid them for mulch, a grass cut, and lawn treatment (you get three treatments) to get rid of some problem areas. This first visit totaled over $500 (most of the cost going to the lawn treatment) The first service was amazing. The mulch looked great, I know it was hard work for those guys. Two weeks had passed and I wondered when they were coming back, they said that they were doing the rotation every three weeks. The next week comes, and I hadn't heard anything, so I inquired and they said I was on the schedule the next day. After that cut, I noticed that they didn't apply any lawn treatment, and they had missed large parts of my lawn. Travis apologized about missing the areas, but then said that the grass was too dry to apply the treatment. Understandable, but when were they going to tell me that? So I paid $48 and had to do the remaining edging and flat areas. Three weeks later, I get another cut and a lawn treatment. This time the service was spot on. ($48 all said for the cut. Lawn treatment was paid for up front) Three weeks later, due for my next cut, absolutely nothing from them. At this rate, I cut the lawn myself. I pay the $50 precisely so I DON'T have to worry and babysit I let it ride for another week until the Friday after Labor Day, I don't hear anything so I texted Travis. He said that they were closed over the labor day holiday for four days, and they were playing catchup, but they "had me for this week." At this point, it has been FOUR WEEKS with no correspondence. I'm in over $600 to this company, I've only had 2/3 lawn treatments completed, and one of the scheduled cuts I had to finish myself, and I guess I'm just out of the extra $100 or so for the services they didn't complete. Tons of other options for a lower price. I'd heard from another friend that had the service that a similar thing happened, but at that time it was a "family emergency" but no correspondence was left and they just stopped showing up. All that said, this company would be fantastic if they just kept their customers up to date and had the appropriate backoffice talent to schedule appointments, track services rendered and keep things moving.
