I had recently purchased and moved into a house in which there was a termite inspection done during escrow which did not indicate any rodent activity. But after moving, I had been hearing some crackling noises in the attic and suspected that they maybe because of rodents. I had already called Pacific coast termite and they did an inspection and mentioned that they don't see any trace of rodent activity. But after a while, since the sounds continued, I called Rodrigo and he inspected the attic and said that he saw indications of rodents i.e. droppings etc. So, I hired him to seal the few openings and lay mouse traps to catch the rodents and he gave a warranty of 3 months on his work. After laying several mouse traps, there was not a single mouse/rat caught. The occasional sounds continued. So, it didn't provide any benefit for me. After 3 months, when i asked him to at least remove the mouse traps, he didn't respond. It has been about 2 years after that, i still hear the occasional sounds, though decreased (which may have been due to settling or due to some other reason). There has been no evidence of any rodent activity in the house. I have a hard time believing that if Rodrigo is a pest control expert, he didn't understand from his first inspection that there was no rodent activity in the house. He should have been upfront in saying that there was no evidence of rodent activity in the house (just like what pacific coast termite did). I think misinforming the customer that he sees evidence of rodent activity and taking up a job costing several hundreds of dollars under that pretense is dishonest. read more
