I ordered through the uber eats AP but after I came inside to pick up my meal, I decided I really loved the idea of buying Whoopi pies made with oatmeal cookies and a coffee, both were fantastic. The coffee wasn't too acidic and I was happy about that, it was the perfect balance and woke me up from My sleepiness. I had the orange chicken bowl and it hit the spot! I ate almost the whole thing but tapped out on the noodles. Such a generous portion and I will definitely come back to try the vegan chicken po boy next visit!
This place is amazing!! I stopped by today for the first time and was genuinely amazed. The food is soooo yummy and they have so many options to choose from! It's amazing having some of my favorite meals in a vegan form. The staff was really friendly. I got the west coast fries with taco crumbles. I will definitely be back!
me and my friends were OBSESSED with Nami (7th st) like 12 years ago, kinda forgot about it, started craving it recently, and FINALLY made our way back (to this location). YES you can tell the difference between this soft serve and "regular" soft serve, but that doesn't make it any less delicious, some would just say different LOL. me and my bestie both got their fluffynutter'n tsoynami, she got hers with chocolate soft serve and i got a swirl. DELICIOUSSSS! i did go home and top it with some of my current obsession snacks (it had to be done) and it was the most satisfying end to my night i could've asked for. service was EXCEPTIONAL. i wish i got the name of the man helping us, but he was super patient and kind while i was asking a bunch of questions and talking away. the restaurant is also large, spacious, and clean. they have a cute patio attached to their space as well! i will be back ASAP
Have come here many times. The staff are always very friendly, the food comes out pretty quickly and is delicious. My go to is the street burger and east coast fries. Fun decorations / vibes and they host different trivia events.
Green New American Vegetarian has been my go-to vegetarian restaurant for many years. This location is the original. There's also a location on 7th Street in Phoenix. Some of my favorite menu items are: Hummus - They recently have taken this off their menu, but I really hope it comes back someday. This is my favorite hummus. Warning: it will give you very strong garlic breath, but it's worth it! Big Wac - Their take on the Big Mac. I recently tried this with a mock chicken patty instead of the mock beef patty, and I liked it even more. It was the best mock chicken that I've ever eaten. It comes with fries, which are some of the best fries I've ever eaten. Highly recommend! Soynami - Their take on the Dairy Queen Blizzard. This is a dairy-free treat. They have a ton of different toppings that can be added. I sometimes just stop in for a soynami instead of a meal, since they are quite large. My boyfriend, who is not vegetarian, also enjoys this restaurant. There's definitely something for everyone!
I love Green! Had a craving for a burger, fries, and a shake and the "Fleetwood Wac" delivered. I love that they use Beyond patties but give them a Green twist by pressing them and mixing in some of their own spices, etc. The thyme fries always satisfy and I'm a big sucker for my usual PB N Chocolate Tsoynami with added cookie dough. I couldn't resist getting an order of the Damn Dan Noodles to try later, and they were epic! Tons of traditional Dan Dan flavor with some strong spice. Highly recommend this dish! Inside, it was so exciting to see "Art 4 Animals" for sale on the hallway walls and in the bathroom. I walked away with something SUPER cool. See you again soon, Green!
Yesterday's visit we had the Damn Dan Noodles and Fleetwood Wac. Perfectly delicious food with generous portion sizes as usual!
I'm not vegetarian but have cut down on meat over the years. Green New American popped in my search and it sounded good so we gave it a try. As others have noted, the inside is unique and eclectic. There's no table service so you order your food, get assigned a table flag, and they'll bring your order to you. Overall the food was very good. The fried Brussels were cooked well but I gotta say that there was too much salt. It would have been perfect otherwise. The Damn Dan Noodles were delish! I substituted the "beef" with fried tofu and I was very happy. The taste was superb! I'd come back for this again. The golden curry bowl was also good but it didn't lack the flavor punch as the Damn Dan Noodles. All dishes came out piping hot which I do notice. The staff at the counter were friendly and inviting. The minor bummer is that the floor between the front and back was sticky.
I was so excited to check this place out since everything looks amazing on IG. The menu was stacked with delicious sounding items, so it was really hard to choose. We tried a couple of things - the mushroom Swiss special, crab, rangoon, and a burger with bacon and cheese. Everything we had was delicious. Even my meat eating brother was devouring everything. The mushroom Swiss was my favorite with its house made seitan roast beast, melty Swiss, grilled button mushrooms, and caramelized onions. Too bad it was just a special. It was nice and juicy/greasy in the best way possible. The fries were nice and crispy. The crab rangoon were good, but there wasn't much of a crab flavor so I would probably not order those again. That is fine with me, because I want to try everything else on the menu. They also had a very extensive list of shake flavors. Too bad we were too stuffed to try them.
I ordered the Chicago Cheesesteak, Lemon- Garlic Bowtie pasta, Thyme fries, and the Life's a Peach for dessert. The Cheesesteak was divine! The dessert was well worth the calories. The fries and pasta were not particularly tasty, lacked seasoning and in the interest of not being wasteful - will be shared with the unsheltered gentleman I see as I walk to work.
If you are vegan or vegetarian, would for sure recommend! They had a large menu with lots of variety. And while you could definitely tell the "meat" was not real meat, the food was tasty overall. Service was friendly. The food did take a while to come out, but it was hot and fresh.

En route to trying everything on their menu since I have yet to be disappointed! Wings- my absolute favorite! Kids chicken nuggs are a good go bite plus who doesnt crave chicken nuggets when you're not so into chicken anymore!? They come with fries too so this is a plus. Orange chicken rice bowl was sooo good as well, I could taste the fresh orange taste and even had leftovers for lunch the next day! Chicago cheesesteak sounded like the ingredients may not mix well together but in my surprise this handheld was very flavorful and warm! Crab puffs were a pretty good imitation of actual ones, tasted more cheesy but id prefer this since im not a huge crab fan! Tahini coleslaw was my side choice and I have never tried it before but glad I did, its a refreshing nutty twist to add to your palette. My fav fav fav option here is the oatmeal cookie creme pie things, WOW, they are often sold out of these so get them while you can but its well worth it! ($4 or $5) Sometimes I treat myself to their delish drinks in the fridges this time it was an original rootbeer which I thought was a nice refresher. Staff is always nice here and food always tastes fresh! read more
Went there for dinner with a friend. The service is good. Nice hip vibe all around. Pricing is expensive side give, but expected with this being vegan. The food tast pretty good for the most part. The Thyme fries tast like regular fries. Not sure what's special about it. The sandwich, visually speaking, is not that great. Taste good tho. read more
Kudos to my friend Sylvia for turning me on to this restaurant. From the brussels sprouts to the BFF sandwich to the Big Wac, everything was delicious. I walked away full, with leftovers and a sense of pride at putting good stuff in my body. read more

I ordered Spinach Fundido Dip: Organic spinach, white wine, and creamy artichoke queso dip served with corn chips. It taste just like the original spinach dip I remember before going vegetarian. It just needed a little salt so I added a dash. I also got The Original G Po-Boy : classic buffalo mock chicken, fresh lettuce, tomato and mayo on a toasty ciabatta. This was good. I only wish the "chicken" patty was a little thicker. I got cheese fries as a side. I had to look it up on the website bc I couldn't believe it was vegan cheese. The website says they use vegan cheeses. It was melted, tasted like real cheese. How?! This restaurant has something for everyone, even non vegetarian eaters will like it. read more

Searched for vegetarian options in the area and this vegan joint came up. The menu has plenty options to choose from. Asked the woman at the front what was recommended, she mentioned the buffalo "wings" are a good choice and what they're known for, which I figured I'd give a try. I wasn't too much a fan of them as they were a little chewy and tangy for my taste, but still edible; I wouldn't order them again. The Big Wac which is their version of a "Big Mac" from McDonalds was delicious. It had two vegan patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions, sesame seed buns. I definitely would recommend this! The items are a la carte, didn't order fries but they did look good! I added a peanut butter bar to the side for dessert. They're known for their shakes so I'm bummed I didn't try one! Prices are average..came out to $21.45 after tip. I also added a shirt for an additional $15, which anything with pixels will sell me, so I had to give in! read more

Let me start by saying I love this restaurant and the options on the menu.. I've never had a bad experience until.. I typically always get the Big Wac, at least 2x/ month. It's my favorite sandwich, or least I thought it was. Tonight, after placing my order online and allowing sufficient time for preparation, I opened my box at home and found a sloppy, heavily mayo'd sandwich with little lettuce. The sandwich had so much mayo it was kind of mushy. It didn't even look appeitizing.Too bad I travelled 20min from home for a sandwich that was subpar. I'm pretty disappointed. Didn't think I could have a "bad" Big Wac. It may be awhile before I chance this again unless I'm eating at the restaurant and can check before eating. Didn't think I would ever have to open my food at this restaurant before leaving.. Really hoping this isn't the new standard at the Tempe location read more

We are big fans of the Phoenix location, but we were in Tempe for an event and wanted to see how this location stacks up. I had been once before we moved, so my memory was a little hazy. The verdict: same great food and incredibly friendly and laid back service. Win and win! My husband opted for the special of the night, which was a huge carnitas burrito drenched in enchilada sauce. I am pretty sure he licked the plate. I went for tacos, and while the special taco was good, the standee "ultimo" taco won the day. I could go back for two more of those right now! As mentioned, service was tops. The guy who took our order was helpful and laid back, not at all annoyed that we took our time and changed our order once. The guy that brought our food was funny and cool. It was a no stress environment, even though it was pretty crowded. Green is always going to be a go-to restaurant for us, and it's great to know both locations are knocking it out! read more

As a 25 year vegan from Los Angeles I've tried a lot of vegan food over the years. So many restaurants are overrated or are disappointing. When I moved here someone recommended Green New American and after checking the menu and yelp I knew I had to try it. I was absolutely blown away! Everything was absolutely delicious! My son and I shared the Philly cheese steak and the peanut chicken crunch burrito. We also got the Brussel sprouts, spinach dip and west coast fries....all were bomb!! My younger son had the burger and fries firm the kids menu. The thyme on the fries is a unique and yummy touch. Highly recommend! Please open a location in Gilbert! read more

The big wac is the best vegan burger I've had! Tastes just like a regular Big Mac. It wasn't busy when we went on a Thursday early afternoon around 130pm and service was quick and easy. read more

We had 3 amazing dishes yesterday for lunch at Green. I had the Dan damn noodles I subbed extra veggies for the "beef" crumbles...DELISH! The egg-less rolls were amazing. The East coast fries were super rich but delicious as well. The restaurant was clean & I loved that the food was delivered HOT. My only comment would be for additional healthy options to the fried foods. 10/10 will definitely come back! read more

Green New American Vegetarian was my first introduction to Vegan Food years ago when I first became Vegan. It was one of, if not the first, Vegan restaurant in the Phoenix and Tempe area, and has for many years, has had a Vegan Thanksgiving ( ThanksLiving) celebration that is highlight on my calendar. Green's menu does not disappoint, and whether you're a Vegan or a Carnivore , there is something delicious for you on their menu. I enthusiastically recommend Green! Mark read more

Well, that was pretty great. I've been to my share of vegan restaurants in my life having been vegetarian for 27 years and this one is definitely among the best. It has a cool, hippie-hipster vibe that makes you wonder if you're in Seattle or Humboldt instead. Being a lover of all things PEACE, LOVE, and HAPPINESS, this place is totally my jam. It's an order-at-the-counter place or what we all kind of dub as "fast casual" or whatever. You grab a drink from the case, some vegan cookie dough for later and order your food. They hand you a number and deliver to your table. They don't have fountain soda, but awesome, homemade juices that take the place. You can buy sodas though, just fancier ones in the bottle cooler case. We had a variety of things--mock orange chicken with veggies and rice (good), egg rolls (a bit bland but fixed that with sriracha--would've been better stuffed with more crunchy veggies and glass noodles), thyme fries (yum), veggie burger (decent, topped with high quality stuff) and the favorite, fried Brussels Sprouts with lime. It was alllllll about those Brussels, people. I am dreaming of those, honestly. I could eat a whole dinner of just those. Mmmmm. Definitely see the appeal and for those crispy little mini cabbages, I'd come again and again. read more

I've been vegetarian for about nine years and heard so many rave reviews about this place, i decided to finally give in. A friend and I both got the Wendy's pickle sandwich and some wings to share. The sandwich was super good and very filling. If you're an avid meat eater, it definitely doesn't taste like authentic chicken but it's close as I've gotten! The sauce was also delicious and with the pickles it was the perfect combo. I just wish the chicken was a little crispier. As far as the wings, I was a huge fan but my friend didn't like them. She said the texture was a little stringy. To be fair, she also just doesn't like buffalo sauce which has nothing to do with Green New American. The wings were much more meat tasting in my opinion and they had the perfect amount of sauce. Overall, super delicious vegetarian food and I'll definitely be coming back. read more

Great place to eat. I stopped in for lunch and wanted a wrap. I had the Peanut Chicken Burrito and it was delicious. The 'chicken' was crunchy and the fresh veggies and peanut sauce was perfect. Service was great. Would recommend for a healthy meatless lunch. read more

The Food was amazingly good. I like the curries. My daughter loves the artichoke salad. The service is fine. They succeed. They don't reach top notch positive but I have never had anything negative. The ambience is what keeps me from giving the place a five star. I like that they don't like push you out so we chatted for an hour and hit the all you can drink juices after we ate. That's rare these days. What I hate is the wall decoration. There is this mural that looks like a microscope slide of bacteria. GET RID OF IT. It's in one of the bathrooms, and it really makes me nervous. Hint - use the potty closest to the kitchen. They also have a wall of what looks like morgue doors. Just so many metal doors all the same size. It gives me the creeps. WHY have morgue doors in a restaurant? I can appreciate that they use recycle stuff, but out of a morgue. Our booth just under the mural looked to have been made from old church pews. (Hint, it's comfy!) If I owned the place, I would replace the scary art. I thought the American Gothic picture, but have an AI picture site depict it as also a Japanese farmer with rice, a black farmer, a native American farmer, etc. All the American Gothics. (samples attached) My daughter suggested farm scenes with really bold and nice veggies and fruits to make you hungrier. read more
