I don't make to the Green Parrot as much as I would like to, but when I do, we usually have a blast. The Green Parrot has been around forever and Nancy and I have seen many bands here over the years. The drinks are reasonable (Jim Beam $7), but you can find cheaper drinks at Casselberry's. Where you will save some cash is on the food. The prices here are not actually that bad. Appetizers run $5-$20; Sandwiches $9.50-$15; Entrée's $10-$14; Wings are about $1.50 a piece; pizza's $8-$12; and salads $11-$12.50. It's not the best food in the city, but it pretty darn good for a sports bar. The venue is quite spacious, plenty of seating at the bar, four & six tops around the bar, several pool tables available for added fun, and a decent sized dancefloor and stage. Management has done some renovations over the last couple of years and everything is still looking good. I haven't had any problems with service and the bartenders always treat me right; although, I noticed I have a much easier time catching the attention of bartends when compared to Nancy, sorry honey It must be because I'm so darn cute, lol! On our most recent visit here we seen Enuff Z'nuff and the Midnight Devils. Wow, what a show! The sound was fantastic, we really got some bang for our buck on this one. Plus, we were able to meet all the band members and have some of Nancy's album covers signed by Chip Z'nuff. We couldn't have asked for a better evening. The Green Parrot is a great little place. I highly recommend checking them out if you're in the area and want to have a beer and play some pool, or just to see some great live music. read more

The Green Parrot is a long-established bar here in the Casselberry, Florida area and has live music. I have seen several bands throughout the years. These were mainly friends' bands and I always found this to be a cool enough place. The staff has always been friendly and fir the most part it has been a team that serves cold drinks with warm smiles. The overall vibe here is cool.enough. nothing fancy, but honestly, I prefer this type of vibe other than some fancy type ambiance. All in all, I would definitely recommend a visit here if you are looking to hang out with some friends and are in the Casselberry, Florida area. I guess that I will give it four stars overall as a cool enough bar. read more

First of all, im not from around here, im a hiker from NH and I dont ever leave reviews. This place is a gem. The food is phenomenal and prepared by someone who cares, im a line cook by trade. Good prices and wonderful people, thank you Missy. Other customers were very friendly and welcoming despite me standing out as different in my hiking clothes and with my new england accent. What a fun time at the Green aParrot!!!! The band was great, the service staff was friendly and helpful . I ordered the chicken wings, they were big and juicy, lots of flavor. Green Parrot is the divey-est of dives, but they they have cheap drinks, lots of pool tables and live rock on the weekends. PLUS...if you have to wash your laundry at the smallest laundromat on Earth (next door), you can drink beer and chill while you wait. Don't expect friendly service. The bartender couldn't manage a smile or a complete sentence the last time I was there. read more

5/1/2021 Been going to the Parrot for over 5 years. The other night I ordered 3 Jim Beams on the rocks. My bartender was Arti. The going price is now $6.75 for a Jim Beam and coke drink. Very expensive for the neighborhood! When I got the bill there were two charges too my surprise. The first was for the three drinks $20.25. The second was for "on the rocks" at $6.75. When I questioned Arti about the charge he told me that they pour extra in each drink and then pass that on to the customer. I told him that this was not right and probably illegal. He would not remove the charge. After over 30 years in the Bar/Restaurant business I had never seen this. Used to be a nice place to go. On the weekends drinks are $7.25 and a bottle of beer is $5.00. Not a good look for a dive bar. read more

Update: I've visited several more times since my last review. Service has gotten better. We've had very attentive and kind servers during our last visits. I tried a burger here which was cooked to order and very good. The bands are still awesome on Friday and Saturday nights. I feel better about visiting this spot more frequently now that the service has improved considerably. read more

I've only been here twice. The first time was some time last year during football season & they were showing a Jets game on a few of their big screens. It was packed & CRAZY! This time was more laid back. Less people, cordial (well,not exactly friendly but not at all rude) bartenders, & pretty decent drinks. Visited here two weeks ago on a saturday night. I know people who come here for happy hour, and I'd say thats why you should visit. The prices are decent and the place does have activities like darts and pool tables. When I visited there were a lot of people smoking, so that tends to bother me, but, thats their rules so if i don't like it I know I can leave. They had live music the night I went which was pretty cool. They played a variety of classic rock songs. Dance area was a little small considering how big the place is, but, not many danced. Its seems like a pretty rough crowd at first but most are nice. They have food but its more of a dive bar kind of place, so the food is about par. Can't really say much more than this. read more

I personally do not care for the Green Parrot, or The Dirty Bird as it's know in my circle. It's fine to go for a quick drink after work, but that is about it. I think it is absurd that they have a bathroom attendant on the weekends. The bathrooms at McDonald's are nicer, yet they want you to pay someone to use them? They have some okay live music, but their sound system is not set up properly for the venue, at least the times I've been there. It's hard to hear the music, because the system is too loud and sounds like it's set for a much larger room. They do have some decent drink specials during happy hour, if you can stomach the atmosphere long enough to drink them. Also pool tables and darts. The last time I was there which was about 4 months ago a giant cochroach scurried across the floor from out of the kitchen and past our table. I have not had the nerve to go back since. read more

Oh The Parrot...I used to live down the street from this place, many fun evenings have been had here. They used to do cheap mini pitchers of liquor on Thursday nights, not sure if they still do. Lots of pool tables, darts, and a stage for bands. However, I HATE coming here on nights when they have a band. It is always WAY TOO LOUD and I feel like it is always an AC DC tribute band playing. The Green Parrot is a place I would have never discovered without the help of some friends because it's not the type of place that I normally look for to hang out. However, with that said, it was a fun time I will never forget it that's for sure. This restaurant slash pub is similar to Gator's Dockside or Frogger's with it's own spin on things of course. I'm not sure why it's called the Green Parrot as I didn't see any parrots with the exception of the sign plastered on the exterior. On that I went in particular that had a wanna rocker band playing crazy music of which I couldn't understand the lyrics to with old women wearing clothes that were entirely too tight for them dancing with no rythym on the dance floor. Quite entertaining actually. Drinks and prices weren't bad. There is a full service bar that carries almost everything your heart desires and they have drink specials certain nights of the week. I would never venture here on my own, but if I had friends in tote I'd probably go back again. read more

Worst Philly cheesesteak I have ever had. I always heard their wings are good, but I love Phillys. The meat has no flavor, the bread was soggy and the only saving grace was I got jalapeños and provolone and I ate that off the top. I won't go here anymore and it's such a shame because this little bar used to be a great after work drink grabber. The bathrooms are absolutely disgusting, they have most certainly rotted away. I've witnessed way too many kids getting served without getting IDs checked ( hence why the crowd is such a young crowd, HELLO it's the only bar in Casselberry that doesn't ID ) People asking you if you want drugs while you're sitting at the bar (and this one really shocked me). I frequent the Parrot one or two evenings a week. I'm a local, the drinks are so much cheaper than Winter Park or Downtown and most of the bartenders are great. Kevin earns an A++++ I'm 40, so the crowd isn't "young" or "old" to me. A lot of 30 somethings but not a bunch of underage kids as other reviewers say. Also, I've never been offered drugs there, but maybe I don't look like a druggie, lol. Bands are hit or miss, the same ones circulate through the local bars, you just have to check Facebook to see if it's good or bad. Lots of pool tables, couple dart boards, large bar and plenty of table seating. Can't review the food, I only drink there - but the wings are supposed to be the best around. They also have pool leagues and have card dealers almost every night except Thursday and Friday. Something about special dart league too. Thank Goodness they stopped Karaoke a while back. That was the absolute worst. A great place to hang out and play pool and have a few drinks in the evening. Crowd seems to be mostly 30 - 60 in age. Never had issues that weren't solved by moving to another seat. read more

dont go here. this place does not care about their customers. and they're a joke. their waitress barely know what they're doing. they try to sneak in things on your bill. like if you order wings, they'll ask u if u want veggies, than charge u for them without letting u know. they also dont know the prices of their drinks. so if u ask for a price, just look at a menu. oh wait, they dont have one, so they basically charge what they want. also the "manager" arti, sucks.. i told him that to his face that he has a horrible attitude. he replies: "theres nothing wrong with my attitude. i'm perfectly fine with my attitude" that's what he told me, as a manager. he didnt want to adjust anything on the bill. he treated me like i was wrong. he said: "well the waitress dont know how much something will be until they ring it up." than why tell me the price if u dont know it. when i told him that the waitress asked if i wanted veggies with my wings, she didnt tell me there was a cost. he says: well there's a price for the veggies if u order them". i said than why didnt she say that, she offered them like they came with the wings, he shruged and said i dont know. and when i told him i was over charged by a $.25 for a drink, he looked at me like he though it was rediculous that i wanted a refund and said, "fine, i'll give u back your quarter." this place is a joke. they have no idea how to talk to people. they only want the same ol regulars that come and play pool, the dont care about anyone new that might be visiting. dont waste your time on this smelly old stinky pathetic bar with an idiot for a manager that has no clue what he's doing or talking about. he needs to get a life. read more
