Its refreshing to be treated like a person and a customer instead of being a number on some nameless salesmans commission sheet at the end of the month. Andrew (the owner) reminded me what customer service and follow up are supposed to look like. I highly doubt any of the above reviews ever purchased a vehicle from the gentleman I did.

This is the weirdest place with the worst customer service I have ever experienced! I have an old…read moremotorhome that needed service on both the chassis and a minor plumbing job on the interior. I'd contacted eight other places before this, and either they were too busy, didn't work on RVs, didn't work on vehicles that old, or didn't call me back. I spoke with Sky at Mobile Mechanic (A.K.A. Car Smart Services), who seemed friendly and understanding. He stated what they would do--which all sounded great--and that they'd have it back to me in a couple of days. Also, since I'm looking to sell the rig, he said that after they'd serviced it, they'd write up a document indicating whether everything was safe and in working order. After week, I called them. I talked to Sky again, who apologized that they kept putting other, more urgent jobs ahead of mine, but that they would get to it in another week. More time went by, with me checking in now and then. Two different times, they told me my vehicle was ready, and we made an appointment for me to pick it up. Each time, they called right before I arrived and said it wasn't quite ready, and could I come back tomorrow? No one at the shop speaks English, and they seem to have a different customer service person every time that would only communicate through WhatsApp or text messaging, either through my phone or via video call with a non-English speaker at the shop. Finally, after a month, I texted and said I was just going to pick up the rig, in whatever condition it was in. When I arrived, I found it boxed in behind a truck and a trailer, so it was irretrievable. A lady walked up to me and motioned that I should wait, while she was chatted on the phone in Spanish. I waited, and waited. Finally, she handed her phone to me to speak with another lady who spoke some English. She asked if I could return a couple of days later. Keep in mind that every time, I had to take off of work and impose upon a friend to drive out there. Finally, I returned to pick up and pay for the "service." The amount was $566.50, and I asked for a copy of the itemized invoice, so I could see precisely what I was charged for. That's normal, right???!!! I inspected the vehicle myself, and it seemed like the plumbing job hadn't been done (although one of the times they called to say the rig wasn't ready for pickup, they said they were ordering plumbing parts, which I did not see any evidence of during my inspection). They said the secretary was out of the office but would send me the itemized invoice the following Monday. I'll let you guess--did they send it? Hah! It's been a month since I paid the bill, and I still have no invoice. Now, no one there is responding to my calls or texts. I think they've blocked me. You would think that place was in Mexico, not Bozeman, MT! STAY AWAY!!!

Hmmm. I'm not sure what to say about these reviews. I'll say a few things and then I will relate my…read moreown experiences. First, time and time again I've seen these guys bring in great car after great car and they ALWAYS seem to make sure that all the service gets done, that the tires are good, etc. Second, I feel that NO company can always foresee all the possible problems a car can have. When you buy any car you take a chance. I bought four 3/4 ton Ford trucks in about 10 years and 3 were not great... but I am mechanically inclined and felt that the fact that I had bought cheaper older trucks and early diesels at that, was in the end my own problem. Now fast forward to Ryan at Peak Cars. I had finally decided I had enough of old trucks and wanted a Toyota 4Runner. I looked at a lot but the best two or three I found were at Peak Cars. I bought a 1998 4runner with 152,000 miles on it from Ryan. I'd guess that was about 12 Years ago. Within a week or two I had a problem. I took it to Ressler and they called me 4 hours later saying I owed them $150.00 and it was still not fixed. At this point they said I would have to bring it back and they would just start replacing parts. I called Ryan and he felt bad but told me to call Keith at Rising Sun Toyota. Keith immediately knew what the problem was after I explained the symptoms. He charged me $35.00 to fix it two days later after he got the part. A simple switch in the back door was causing it. I still have that 4Runner, but it now has 338,000 miles on it. $8500.00 for almost 200,000 miles. What a deal! The car would still sell for over $4000.00 I'm sure but it's worth more than that to me. Then we went to see Ryan about a Volvo XC70 in 2012. We bought that car and have had some minor issues but all in all simple maintenance type work and replacements is all. We have put just about 100,000 miles on that car and it is still a good car. So now we are ready for another vehicle. Where would you go? Yes. We are buying an awesome 2006 Lexus GX470 from Ryan. Who else! These experiences are the only way I know Ryan but the integrity he has shown me over the years and the great car buys I've gotten have made a believer out of me! I never have any trouble getting ahold of these guys. Oh and their mechanic is awesome. He has always given me great advice! One last thing. These guys don't build a lot of profit into their deals. They will usually deal a little but they will be honest and up front and you don't have to play games. The price they ask is fair and they are usually willing to deal just a little. If you feel the need to wheel and deal and play games go somewhere else. Peak cars is there to offer a good car at a decent price. They don't play those games and I'm happy about that. If you are looking for a good car at a fair price go see the guys at Peak Cars. Dan Roberts

Had minor issues after…read morethe sale Matt, said bring it in and we will take a look at it, I am somewhat mechanical and fixed the issue myself so no big deal. These guys have a very nice selection of quality, clean used cars at decent prices. Matt was great to deal with and would not hesitate to buy another vehicle from him in the future. In this day when new trucks are approaching 6 figure amounts it's good to know that you can still find a great place to shop for a lower milage quality used vehicle.

Stay away from this place. I bought a car from Steve three months ago and I am currently sitting on…read morethe side of the road for the second time waiting for AAA. When we called Steve to tell him that not two months after we bought the car, it had something serious go wrong, he got heated up and HUNG UP on my husband. Just horribly unprofessional. We should have known he was a bit shady when he DIDN'T FILE OUR REGISTRATION PAPERWORK. It was frustrating and cost us $80. We thought that was a lot at the time... but then we had to have the engine replaced because of some shoddy work on the timing belt when it was replaced last. It's always a gamble buying a used car, but I feel completely taken by this guy. Come to find, many of the mechanics in Bozeman have had bad experiences with Steve. Our mechanic kept saying, "You only bought this two months ago? And Steve isn't gonna help you out with the repairs at all?" Nope. AND he hung up on us. So now I wait again by the side of the road be as of a busted transmission hose as my family arrives to an airport for their first time in Montana. Guess we'll be getting yet another rental car.

When she took it to a trusted mechanic, they found multiple problems. The error codes had been cleared to conceal the issues. The cost of repairs was more than 50% what she paid for the vehicle. When my daughter tried to contact the dealer, they refused to respond to her. When she went to the lot during business hours, the door was locked. To date, she has not received a response to multiple phone calls and emails. A significant portion of the down payment came from me, so I feel justified adding this review. While she did buy the car in "AS IS" condition, the dealer obviously concealed existing issues. It takes a certain type of person to take advantage of hard working students.
