My daughter has had a couple of issues with her car. They fixed my daughter's car at a great price. Their technicians were very knowledgeable, explained exactly what the problem was and what it would take to fix it. I highly recommend Bozeman Community Auto. Because of their popularity, they are busy. It will take a week or more to get your vehicle in. It's well worth the wait.

PLEASE WATCH THE VIDEO EVIDENCE AND DO NOT GO! Video…read moredocumenting my vehicle during and after their work: https://youtu.be/3KyfsJm2ylU I strongly recommend anyone considering Mobile Mechanic MT watch the video above and NOT use them. My experience started when my vehicle began overheating. After an initial inspection at O'Reilly Auto Parts, I attempted to drive it to Mobile Mechanic MT as they were the only shop that was open. I ultimately had to pull over when the check engine light came on, and AAA towed the vehicle to their shop. The original repair was a radiator replacement, spark plugs, and thermostat. Unfortunately, I picked up the vehicle on April 8th and immediately discovered several problems that were not present when I brought it in. Immediately after pickup: -The AC was no longer blowing cold air, and during my second visit I observed the mechanic watching a tutorial video on how to recharge the AC. -The driver side hood latch was malfunctioning and eventually would not latch. -The vehicle developed electrical issues affecting the blower motor and ambient lighting. -My tire was also damaged and subsequently went flat. -The air intake cover had been improperly handled, with retaining clips apparently lost and the cover needing to be repositioned. After the second visit to address these issues, I observed paint damage and gouging around the front bumper, hood, and front left fender. The most concerning issue was the hood latch. While driving the vehicle back to the shop, the hood actually began lifting upward because it would not properly latch. I have video documenting the vehicle while it was still at the shop, including footage showing the hood intact and footage of the lead technician working around the driver side hood latch area. There is also footage showing a flathead screwdriver being used on the bumper, latch, and hood. When I brought the vehicle back and discussed the new problems, the owner immediately dismissed my concerns, stating that all of the issues were pre existing. The situation got worse. When the vehicle was subsequently left at the shop, the hood was eventually cracked. I also documented additional damage to the bumper that occurred while the hood was being pried open. The vehicle then sat on their lot for approximately five days neglected before I returned on April 18th to retrieve it. Throughout this process, I experienced what other reviewers have apparently experienced as well; lack of communication, no invoice, failure to return calls, and difficulty getting anyone to take responsibility for problems that appeared after their work. At several points, I had to call from another phone number just to get an answer. I also found my interaction with the owner particularly concerning. When I called, the owner identified himself as "Sky," which shows he wasn't forthcoming with his real name Andrew Santiago. He subsequently would not shake my hand, even after insisting upon it twice. Don't take my word for it. I have video documentation of the vehicle before and after the work, the condition of the vehicle while it was at the shop, the work being performed around the affected areas, and conversations regarding the resulting damage. Watch the video evidence here before deciding whether you want to trust this shop with your vehicle: https://youtu.be/3KyfsJm2ylU I brought my vehicle to this shop to have an overheating problem repaired. Instead, I left dealing with additional mechanical, electrical, and cosmetic problems, a malfunctioning hood latch that caused the hood to lift while driving, and significant difficulty getting the shop to acknowledge or address the resulting issues. Due to my experience, it is my opinion that they are dishonest, and I would NOT recommend doing business Mobile Mechanic MT. https://youtu.be/3KyfsJm2ylU

When I asked for the bearing number he said he didn't have it and only had the axel number. I Drove past the place and his team hadn't even touched the trailer yet! So I pulled in and started looking for numbers to help find the part, only then did his guy come out to start looking at it. I was standing there with the mechanic as he looked into it and he said it was bueno. The mechanic stopped after he got it all apart and started working on other projects. Over an hour later I walked in and talked to the boss and he said the mechanic told him the inner bearing was bad and it dropped balls when he took it out. I went out and looked and there wasn't a ball in sight! Then when we picked up the trailer the next day they over tightened our drum breaks so bad even with our trailer breaks set as low as possible, with nothing in it, it would lock up the wheel and skid. When we called in to tell him about it he blamed the rental company we got the trailer from for giving us shitty equipment. So we had to fix it ourselves.

Wouldn't schedule my appointment and now I'm trying to find the part myself and ask them once I found it. Could he put it in and again? He's making excuses and telling me, oh yes, I can do that. So I have the place call him to ask him if it's the correct part. And he says, I don't know what part she needs. I haven't seen the car for a year when I literally just called him 10 minutes prior he did not know I was on the line. Listening at that point I called him back and asked if he even wanted to do the work all of a sudden, the call was escalated to the point. He hung up on me. I called him back and asked him exactly what the deal was. And he says he doesn't want to do a bunch of work that he's not gonna get paid for and I said, who told you, you weren't gonna get paid. So finally, we get to the place where he says that he's not going to work on my car because he could not sleep at night. Knowing that the air conditioner would cost more than the car's worth. But he can sleep perfectly fine knowing that I have to drive a car without air conditioning make that makes sense, and it only took a year to get that answer. Truly, I think it's because the job done was sub-par and on purpose to get my vulnerable and naive self back into their shop. I have spent $3000+ here and will never get it back unless I get a lawyer which I'm highly considering. When I got my fuel injectors done, I immediately had a problem with the engine starting. I took it in for diagnostics and they charged me 160 dollars for them to just look at it. Nothing seemed wrong to their technicians and I was told that it was fine and would level itself out. It did not. I went back again and they said that I needed a small part that I could replace myself easily. I did and still the problem didn't go away. Dave asked me why I hadn't come back and the reason is because he has led me on and bled me dry every time I just had someone look at it. I really thought that Dave was a nice guy and I trusted him but once I had spent $300+ on diagnostics alone, my faith was shaken. Today, my engine didn't start. I called Dave and he basically said that he didn't want to work with me anymore and GOOD LUCK. I was angry on the phone and I guess they say being nice goes a long way, so this was definitely my bad. I am very disappointed in Dave and the scam he runs as a business and I hope he doesn't do this to his daughter. The calls are recorded and I am talking to a lawyer because the other shop I went to charged me nothing. For such a "good" reputation, B+L auto seems to be a sham and I do not suggest you going in to this shop ever unless you have money burning a hole in your pocket and you want to feed the dollar signs in Dave's eyes. DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU RESPECT YOUR MONEY OR TIME.

Recently the Mercedes warranty on the van…read moreexpired in perfect time so the power steering fluid leaking all over the place wouldn't be covered under warranty. Mercedes of Billing said the van needed a new power steering line and that would cost $550! I decided to balk at their fix and find someone (rare) in Bozeman that would work on these "unordinary" diesel vehicles. Bill at M & W repair said he would have a mechanic take a look and see what could be done. This place is OLD SCHOOL Montana.....Like before Bozeman became Bozangeles. Get it strait that you are not a "special flower" when you are there. They are there to fix your diesel rig, thats it! No Espresso while you wait. If you are nice, they will be nice. Within 20 minutes or so the mechanic (wish I could remember his name) came back to me and wanted to show me the problem. He brought me back to my rig through a mixture of Big Rigs, pickups, an ambulance and some old school welders, vises, hoses, mixed with state of the art diagnostic pods that looked like they belong in a surgical suite, pretty surreal. He got a me a creeper to lay on so we could look under the engine....Basically he showed me why he thought the brake line was not bad, by evidence that the leak was coming from above the press fitting at the top of the line. He explained the pressures of the various power steering lines and susceptibility of them leaking under engine power, and all he had to do was tighten them up. He recited from memory....got a 1/4 turn here, full turn there, 1/2 turn there. With the engine running, there were no leaking in the high pressure lines. This was a simple fix for sure, but M & W could have done what Mercedes of Billings wanted to do and charge $550 for a new line without trying to clean, troubleshoot, tighten bolts/clamps and explain their thoughts! Hats off M&W Repair!

You might end up calling for updates as they in my case were not forthcoming on info, but again I do trust them to fix the issue. Be sure to communicate to them that you need to authorize any additional expense if your concerned with the costs at all. For the actual quality of repairs alone and for absolutely NO other reason I increased the rating by one star. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I have used M&W now for a year (with two trucks) and I will share my experiences with you for that time period. Initial appointment was ok, these folks are not overtly friendly. Theres' a woman that answers/screens the calls and runs the front desk/payments. Then There's Bill who runs the service department toward the back. Again neither of which are particularly friendly, but not overtly rude either just seemingly indifferent. Over the course of the year they performed the following and more: oil changes, fuel filter changes, suspension repairs, electrical work, re-placed hubs and hub bearings, lube chassis, replaced alternators, inspected and serviced transfer cases, tranny servicing, install tranny coolers and lots more. But this is to give you an idea of how many times we used these folks for our vehicles. So over the course of these repairs I started to notice a few problems. For instance we had an alternator go out in one of our trucks, no problem. I keep a spare at home, so I just dropped in the spare (took me less than thirty minutes start to finish). I Hung onto the bad one as I figured rebuilding it may be cheaper than a new one. So I swing by M&W with the truck and the bad alt, asking them if they can either rebuild it or order a new one for me. They say no problem and come look into the truck, take part numbers, take the bad alt and say they'll give me a call. I instructed them to order a new alt if its cheaper than the rebuild. So several days later after having to call twice to follow up. They finally get back to us saying that it will only be $140.00 to buy a new alt and that's cheaper than a rebuild. So we give them the go ahead to order the new model and toss the bad alt. Plot thickens, when we arrive to pick up the truck/receive the bill. I notice the cost of the alt is not $140.00 its now $240.00 something!!! I ask Bill what happened, He says flatly that he did quote us $140.00 but realized it wasn't the correct alt. so went ahead and ordered the correct alt at over a 60% increase without even calling to let us know or ask if that's okay with us. So now at this point I could have had the bad alt rebuilt for less or ordered a correct replacement off the Internet for less money. Telling Bill all of this he didn't seem to care at all or even explain anything further as to why they operated like this. Just silence, no apology for the oversight, NOTHING. At this point a simple apology would have gone a long way. It would have instilled confidence in me and I wouldn't have ever mentioned it again or been upset. Accidents happen and we all forget something once in awhile right? To make matters worse they charged me an hour of labor to put in the alternator ($85.00)! I then asked why it took so long to replace, it's literally three bolts and three wires to get the alt replaced. This is a very simple job to complete and test the alt. Bill replied "oh well we had to disconnect the battery and test it once installed" as if that doubled the time. Needless to say I was quite disappointed. I have completed this repair before and it's absolutely not an hours job on this particular vehicle. It appeared to be that they couldn't care less when brought to their attention. The two issues listed above are very unsettling as at the same time they were completing additional repairs and upgrades. Like install mile marker premium hubs, tranny cooler, also some electrical work on lights, turn signal, etc. Now I'm very concerned that all/some of the parts and labor I just paid for were over priced and over quoted! I don't complete tons or projects on the truck and as such can't say if installing hubs takes as long as they say it does (for example). But I no longer trust them to quote me accurate parts or labor time anymore. All said they will absolutely repair whatever you take in to them I have no doubt. It's just how much you end up paying and how long you wait for it, because it might be significantly more expensive and you won't know until you get the bill!
