When we called Steve to tell him that not two months after we bought the car, it had something serious go wrong, he got heated up and HUNG UP on my husband. Just horribly unprofessional. We should have known he was a bit shady when he DIDN'T FILE OUR REGISTRATION PAPERWORK. It was frustrating and cost us $80. We thought that was a lot at the time... but then we had to have the engine replaced because of some shoddy work on the timing belt when it was replaced last. It's always a gamble buying a used car, but I feel completely taken by this guy. Come to find, many of the mechanics in Bozeman have had bad experiences with Steve. Our mechanic kept saying, "You only bought this two months ago? And Steve isn't gonna help you out with the repairs at all?" Nope. AND he hung up on us. So now I wait again by the side of the road be as of a busted transmission hose as my family arrives to an airport for their first time in Montana. Guess we'll be getting yet another rental car.

To date, she has not received a response to multiple phone calls and emails. A significant portion of the down payment came from me, so I feel justified adding this review. While she did buy the car in "AS IS" condition, the dealer obviously concealed existing issues. It takes a certain type of person to take advantage of hard working students.

I preferred something needed a little TLC but was cheap and would last. He got me into a 97 Land Cruiser and I fell in love with this car. It needed work but all of it I could do myself and the price was unbeatable. $1700 was an absolute steal and it runs great and gives me little things to do every paycheck where I can do my modifications and upgrades. This car really brings me back to my 1981 GMC truck days and working on it with upgrades and mods. I really couldn't have asked for a better deal and it fit all my criteria perfectly. We have two young children and needed a second vehicle. Biggest mistake of my life coming to Finish Line! Turns out BOTH of the vehicles have issues! Within HOURS of having the Land Rover the TRANSMISSION light came on. They said it was no problem and they could fix it. Took it back the next day to get "fixed" and the transmission is STILL faulty. The vehicle will kick out of gears on the free way, check engine light always on. So unbelievable. The second vehicle, Nissan Leaf, an electric vehicle, that loses charge? When I left my house it said I had 60 miles.. by the time I was on the freeway the numbers quickly dipped until I was at 5!!! BROKE DOWN ON THE BOZEMAN PASS WITHIN THE FIRST WEEK WITH MY CHILDREN INSIDE! The worst part? This dealership will do NOTHING about it! Im done playing games. This is the weirdest place with the worst customer service I have ever experienced! I have an old…read moremotorhome that needed service on both the chassis and a minor plumbing job on the interior. I'd contacted eight other places before this, and either they were too busy, didn't work on RVs, didn't work on vehicles that old, or didn't call me back. I spoke with Sky at Mobile Mechanic (A.K.A. Car Smart Services), who seemed friendly and understanding. He stated what they would do--which all sounded great--and that they'd have it back to me in a couple of days. Also, since I'm looking to sell the rig, he said that after they'd serviced it, they'd write up a document indicating whether everything was safe and in working order. After week, I called them. I talked to Sky again, who apologized that they kept putting other, more urgent jobs ahead of mine, but that they would get to it in another week. More time went by, with me checking in now and then. Two different times, they told me my vehicle was ready, and we made an appointment for me to pick it up. Each time, they called right before I arrived and said it wasn't quite ready, and could I come back tomorrow? No one at the shop speaks English, and they seem to have a different customer service person every time that would only communicate through WhatsApp or text messaging, either through my phone or via video call with a non-English speaker at the shop. Finally, after a month, I texted and said I was just going to pick up the rig, in whatever condition it was in. When I arrived, I found it boxed in behind a truck and a trailer, so it was irretrievable. A lady walked up to me and motioned that I should wait, while she was chatted on the phone in Spanish. I waited, and waited. Finally, she handed her phone to me to speak with another lady who spoke some English. She asked if I could return a couple of days later. Keep in mind that every time, I had to take off of work and impose upon a friend to drive out there. Finally, I returned to pick up and pay for the "service." The amount was $566.50, and I asked for a copy of the itemized invoice, so I could see precisely what I was charged for. That's normal, right???!!! I inspected the vehicle myself, and it seemed like the plumbing job hadn't been done (although one of the times they called to say the rig wasn't ready for pickup, they said they were ordering plumbing parts, which I did not see any evidence of during my inspection). They said the secretary was out of the office but would send me the itemized invoice the following Monday. I'll let you guess--did they send it? Hah! It's been a month since I paid the bill, and I still have no invoice. Now, no one there is responding to my calls or texts. I think they've blocked me. You would think that place was in Mexico, not Bozeman, MT! STAY AWAY!!!

We decided that we needed to have a mechanic take a look at and fix our pick. We pulled off the road to look up a nearby auto mechanic. We ended up calling Mobile Mechanic mt. The person on the phone ask if we needed a tow or if it was drivable. We said it was drivable and drove it to his location, which was only a couple miles away. He gave us a quick appraisal of what he believed the problems were, which turned out to be major. Their shop was full with more breakdowns coming in on tow trucks. Sky helped up find a nice RV park to stay for a day or two. Sky and his team washed down the pickups engine to verify the problem. We were kept posted of progress, as promised. Once they started on our vehicle, they worked on it continuously until if was complete, keeping us posted as promised. Thank you Sky and your team of experts. We made it back home in good shape thanks to Sky and his crew. Spoke to the owner and he refused to help saying it was sold on consignment "as is" and basically not his problem. He will not discuss it further with me. The sales rep said it was the owner's daughter's car, so either he knew of the problems it had or the sales rep lied to me to get rid of the car. Dishonest people there, don't trust them! Also like to add the problems were potentially dangerous issues, could have caused a serious accident! They will say whatever it takes to make the sale!
