My brother in law bought this pizza one night and it was awesome. I went and ordered another one the next day. It's the kind of pizza you think pizza should taste like. It has mushrooms, pepperoni, and green pepper. Most of the time when I order pizza it doesn't really live up to the pizza experience I wanted in my head. With a recent, and last purchase for a while, despite asking two times each for further investigation, the receptionist and manager couldn't locate my order and insisted I did not place it at their location. I checked my records, then asked the manager a fifth time, and he found it. There are a lot of good pizzas and respectful service providers in our market. This was our first time trying Green Lantern and we weren't overwhelmed, or underwhelmed--can you just be whelmed? We did the Detroit style deep dish--enjoyed the pillowy dough and crunchy crust, but thought the sauce was a little too sweet. I also wasn't a big fan of their signature smaller, thicker pepperoni. I absolutely love this Green Lantern and am quite surprised by some of the things said in other reviews. The staff seems to always be working hard and are very cordial to customers as they handle orders. They are a pretty busy establishment and even when short-staffed they are great. The store is very clean which I appreciate from anywhere I am getting food obviously. It is a carryout place so not much to note on other than that they maintain the store well. Now for the food...I LOVE their square pizza and cheese bread. If you have not had Green Lantern Cheese Bread...do yourself the favor. Their cheese quality is top notch. Get it with marinara and ranch...always. Their square pizza is perfection. I do get extra sauce because I love a saucy pizza. I usually do their Veggie. I get it made with Cheese, Feta, Artichokes, Red Onion, Spinach, Green Olives, and Extra Roasted Garlic. I have made so many people love this particular pizza! So so good! Toppings are fresh and plentiful, cheese (again) is perfect, the dough is cooked well and the sauce is good too! My husband and mom usually like some variation of one of their meaty pizzas. They always look great...they even have the old school pepperonis! I sometimes get their salads as well and they are SO good. You get so many toppings...all the veggies are freshly cut, lettuce is fresh, and if you get the Antipasto they do not skimp on the meat and cheese ever. I've gone to this place many times in the last 2 years and it started off fine in the beginning, like 3 or 4 stars out of 5. Unfortunately this place seems to struggle with consistency. The last 3 times I've ordered over this past year, it's been disappointing. The pizzas and cheese bread have been undercooked (very doughy on bottom) while simultaneously drowning in oil. The chicken tenders have a lot of breading and are not crispy. They've forgotten my salad dressing and chicken dipping sauces. Ordered food online and waited over an hour for a salad. Driver called me at a park saying is your address at a park. I was waiting outside for 45 minutes because it said it was gonna arrive at that time. Called the number and they said the driver already delivered the food. I can see them basically when I walk down the street and they "don't deliver in my area" but I place an online order (trying to give them a second chance) and the 'coupon' they sent DOESNT WORK. After hearing all good things, we decided to try Green Lantern Pizza! We ordered from the Rochester Road and Square Lake location. We got a square pizza with various toppings, antipasto salad, and traditional wings. The pizza was delicious! The crust was crisp without the middle being doughy. (I hate at other places how the crust is borderline burnt but the middle is gooey). GLP has the magic touch! The sauce had good flavor without overpowering the pizza as a whole, and the cheese had a fresh mozzarella taste. Their pepperoni was seasoned perfectly without being too spicy. Their antipasto salad has hard boiled eggs and does not have tomatoes. While I missed the tomatoes, it was not a major issue for me. The Italian dressing was the star of the salad! It was fresh, bright, flavorful, and tastes homemade. I could taste the celery seed strongly, but not in a bad way. It is a true, tangy Italian dressing. Their traditional bone-in wings are NOT breaded which is a great thing if you are gluten free. We opted for sauce on the side and went with the garlic parmesan. Tasting by itself, it felt grainy, but once on the wing it was really good! I give 4 stars only because upon entering their store, none of the staff greeted us. They turned to look, but quickly looked away and carried on their conversations. No one was at the register (no biggie) but of the 6 employees standing at the line, no one said "Hello" or that someone will be right out. The employee who did come to the register greeted us politely as he was finishing his previous task. While it may seem like no big deal, I think it is important to mention that greeting customers is part of offering quality service. This scenario wouldn't deter me from returning, but I do find it odd when I enter a business I am stared at but not greeted. read more

Somehow I forgot to rate this newer place. Closest to original 12 mile place that I have found. Ordered 3-4 times. Everything has been great! Some have been pick up, but they also delivered to my place - BONUS. Salads have been fresh and pizza spot on ! Love the curled pepperoni. read more
