After the initial service, there was an issue that was arguably unrelated, but Ian promptly sent someone out to fix the issue without fuss because it had gone unnoticed during the first visit. I also have nothing but good things to say about the folks working under Ian. They were all easy-going and willing to spend the few extra minutes to answer my questions, so that I understood the problem and the solution. Happy I finally found my go-to electrician!

Todd (owner) was one of the few we brought out who actually listened to our goals and honored our vision rather than proposed either much more elaborate (expensive) or simplified (corner-cutting) projects that we weren't asking for. His quote came in right around where we expected for the scope of work. Carlos, Jesse, and the rest of their crew were great to work with. They respected our home, kept things clean, consistently used drop cloths, even vacuuming here and there to keep any mess at bay. They fished the vast majority of the new wires so well we had almost no holes to patch after all was said and done -- and any that did exist they also did rough patchwork that was easy for me to sand/texture/finish on my own afterward. Surgical precision that we weren't quite expecting but definitely appreciated. The scope of work was pretty large so a few small details temporarily fell through the cracks along the way (as they do), but Carlos checked in with us every morning to make sure he stayed aware of anything that was previously overlooked and/or any thoughts or tweaks we might want to express. His diligence led to us ultimately ending up with exactly what we wanted -- even as folks who had lots of questions and details to iron out along the way. We still paid him. Southern Ca Edison came and correctly diagnosed the issue and fixed it. It turns out that they are the ones who we should have called first but we didn't know that. They said we can submit a claim for reimbursement. Alfred dodged all my husband's atttempts to get an invoice. When I called, it turns out he refused to give me an invoice because he thinks I am going to commit fraud all because I asked him the day that he was here if he is licensed bonded and insured which is a normal question to ask of a contractor. He accused me of trying to commit fraud when he was the one who spent two hours here and couldn't even figure what the problem is all the time saying that he had to leave to buy his mom lunch.

It's in the middle of the night and I search for 24 hour electricians. The first company I called did not pick up. I call AAA Electric next, and they pick up right away. I explain the situation to Fredo and he tells me he doesn't need to make a visit and charge me for that. (He said he could but this is something I could do myself). So, he has me send him a picture of my circuit breaker and guides me on what to do. And guess what? It worked! He seemed to be very knowledgeable and know what he was doing. During the project, I showed it to a couple of contractors I know and they said it looked like he was doing a very professional job. The only reason I gave four stars instead of five is because the project dragged on for 10 months. One of the issues was that each time there was an inspection, a different inspector showed up and wanted changes from what the previous inspector had okayed. That seems to be part of doing business in Los Angeles and I don't hold Alex responsible because he was quick to make each change an inspector wanted. But there were also long periods of time when nothing was being done, perhaps because they were working on a different project. Would I use the company again? If it were a smaller project that didn't take as long, absolutely! Without a doubt! The work quality was excellent, communication on issues was excellent and Alex was easy to work with. While I hope not to have electrical issues in the future, Alex and Alex Electrical Services is who I would call first.

I decided to refuse the service without a smile and was told to pay a$95 fee for coming down. I said "I'll pay but I don't want your service." He then said no need to pay the $95 fee and said no one will do my work for his original quoted price. I called licensed electrician: Ken Electrical, Inc. and he quoted me 1/3 of the price and he came back to check everything was ok for free. In-n-out electric should of just took my money and not argued over a foot-3feet of electrical wire.
