They were given preauthorization up until a certain amount and because we asked them to fix something, they charged the amount to fix it without any kind of authorization or discussion about what it took to fix and how much it would cost. Communication was for the most part non-existent, a response to an email regarding the preauthorization took approximately a month to respond. The only reason that it was even responded to was because of our cancellation for their bad service.

She did agree to send a crew back to straighten the handrail and drain handles they put on crooked, and then a suggestion that since I didn't seem satisfied with the services I received, perhaps I should find another pool company! She went so far as to give me referrals!? - seemingly implying that they were done with me as a customer. Over the course of the next week I was barraged with emailed invoices for the services - from 2 different NP staff people, and today a hard copy invoice arrived in the mail. This gives me a little more insight into the top priority for this company - profit, not customer service or satisfaction. It seems that that Naperville Pool only wants your business if you accept the service they give you and keep your concerns/complaints to yourself. Customers frequently have concerns or complaints about a service they received from a company, but when the company takes ownership over what they've done incorrectly or omitted, it tells the customer that they actually care about their customers, and are committed to both customer satisfaction and customer RETENTION. Cerulean has done big jobs and small jobs, from installing new pumps, heaters and control system and fine tuning the pool water clarity. Thankfully they are also very willing to teach me about the pool and pool systems so that I can troubleshoot issues on my own and not feel completely clueless, which I appreciate.

I'm assuming this caused a ton strain on them and that is why they broke. They did not do a good job and plastic sliders were sticking out and I told them that and they said it was fine. $1,200 a year later the pulleys snapped. I called them to ask if they could do they could do anything they offered 10% off which is a joke. I called 5 other companies and got quotes 500-800. Aqua is over priced and does not stand by their work. I don't mind paying extra if the job is done right, but not making good on the job is why I won't ever use them again.
