Unfortunately that did not happen, as the electrical appliances in my kitchen had no power No hot coffee for me. Enter Alley Electric. The office was closed as this happened on a week-end. Their message said that they would contact me on Monday. They did. Julio came out to the house on Monday and after checking the circuit breaker box and doing some tests on the inside outlets, quickly solved the problem. Julio was pleasant, very professional and smart. The cost of his expertise was very reasonable and he could have found ways to increase the cost but he did not. Needless to say I am very impressed with Alley Electric and I do not impress easily. Alina, the woman who with whom I spoke, was as nice as she could be, and I appreciate this attitude, especially in today's world. Alley Electric is an independently owned business, and I firmly believe that we should support these businesses if they deserve to be supported, and this business definitely deserves it. They have glowing reviews from others too. Phone: 510-573-0427 Email: Alleyelectric@comcast.net

Wire Tech Electric is now my go-to electrical team!…read more I have nothing but great things to say about Wire Tech Electric. From my initial contact, which was responsive and very pleasant, to the moment the tech walked out of my home after completing the work, the experience was stress-free and exceptional. I received a text 30 minutes before the tech arrived, and the text included a picture of who would be arriving to do the work. Great safety feature for situational awareness! When Olvin arrived, before I even had a chance to ask, he had already pulled shoe covers from his pocket and put them on, stepping into my home with the covered shoes (rather than putting the covers on outside and stepping on the porch, thus defeating the purpose). Olvin examined my 44-year-old master bath exhaust fan and provided a quote on the spot, after which he scheduled the actual work that would be done. I had already purchased the replacement fan, and was relieved when he told me that 1), the brand that I had purchased is the best brand on the market, 2), that brand is the only one they install (except for units supplied by the customer), and 3) they install this brand every single day. On the day for which the work was scheduled, I received a 30-minute ETA text with photo. Francisco, the electrician, got straight to work after asking a few questions. He was finished with the work in less than the quoted three hours (he had to cut the opening to accommodate the new fan unit and patch up after). I had expected to have to clean up dust and mop the floor after he left. However, none of this was necessary because he had covered the entire floor from the front door to the bathroom, AND the walls, shower, and vanity with 3mil plastic sheeting to prevent the settlement of dust. After testing the fan with me there to ensure everything was working properly, he gave me the option of paying on the spot or being invoiced (I chose the latter, as is my standard practice). The only con that I have is that Francisco changed the wall switch configuration. Previously, it was set so that switch #1 would turn on only the vanity lighting, and switch# two controlled the fan/fan light together. His reasoning was definitely valid, but I was so used to the way it was previously set. The issue with the new configuration is that it makes the bathroom too bright when I go in early in the morning, before my eyes have time to adjust after sleeping. I contacted customer service to let them know how pleased I was with the work and to mention the switch issue. The woman with whom I spoke immediately scheduled a follow-up visit, and a few days later, Olvin was dispatched to change the switch back. All said, I am exceedingly pleased with the Wire Tech Electric team, from intake to install to invoice, and highly recommend them! They will be my go-to electric company going forward!

They completed the entire job in about three weeks, and their partner crew also patched all the walls, so I didn't have to find a separate contractor for that part. Everything went very smoothly. After the final walkthrough, I only found one non-working light, one disconnected cable, and a few very small touch-up areas near outlets. All of those items were addressed immediately within one day. It was a real pleasure working with Olvin and his crew. Olvin had excellent communication, was very patient with all of my questions, and made the whole process much less stressful than I expected. Their price was also reasonable and competitive compared with two other quotes I received. They also helped with Ethernet wiring and mounting cameras at the same time as the electrical work, which was very convenient. I highly recommend WireTech Electric for both large and small residential electrical jobs.

It has been close to two months since the installation and one month since the city inspection, so…read moreI feel ready to give a fair review. I needed to install my own Emporia Pro charger with a load balancer and wanted to get it done quickly and with a permit. I reached out to EV Charger Expert. I communicated with two people from the company: Kirill, the sales manager, and Erin, the electrician/installer. **The Good** Kirill is very prompt and responsive. He always answers the phone and is willing to discuss the details. He clearly knows the intricacies of EV charger installations, even in more complex situations. He was able to schedule the installation very quickly, and the work was completed on time. The city inspection was done one month later and passed without any issues. So, my primary goal was achieved: I had my charger installed, permitted, and running ASAP. **The Bad** The cost of the installation was fairly high. I paid $2,450 for installation, materials, and the permit. Since I provided my own charger, I believe the labor and other installation costs represented the majority of that amount. For this price, I expected a very high-quality job. Erin installed and set up everything within one day. Two relatively minor problems occurred. If the company had handled these issues better, I would have given them four or even five stars. **1. The load balancer antenna** My charger includes a load balancer with a small antenna. The antenna is supposed to stick out from the metal subpanel so that it can receive a Wi-Fi signal. After the installation, the antenna was hanging through a large round hole in the subpanel. It looked unfinished and, in my opinion, was both unattractive and potentially unsafe. I could not convince the installer to cover the opening, so I had to do it myself. I made a trip to Home Depot, spent about $10 on parts, and made a simple cover myself. The antenna is now secure and the opening is properly covered. Please see the before-and-after pictures. **2. Stripped subpanel screw** During the installation, one of the four screws holding the subpanel door was stripped. I considered this a safety issue. I notified both the installer and the sales manager by SMS that evening, as soon as I noticed it. The installer called me back two days later and, to put it mildly, was quite rude. He told me that it was not an emergency and that they would take care of it on the day of the inspection. On the day of the inspection, Kirill did not have the appropriate replacement hardware. I suggested using a tap and a slightly larger screw to repair the stripped hole, but he declined. Once again, I had to make a trip to a hardware store, purchase a set of taps and screws, and repair it myself. To be fair, Kirill reimbursed me $30 for the cost of the screws and taps. In total, I made several trips to a hardware store and spent several hours fixing issues that I believe should have been addressed by the installer. **Overall** The installation was completed quickly, on schedule, and passed the city inspection without any problems. Kirill was also very responsive throughout the process. However, given the high price, I expected better attention to detail and better handling of the two relatively minor issues that came up. Neither problem was particularly difficult or expensive to fix, but in both cases, I ultimately had to resolve the issue myself. For me, the installation achieved its main objective, but the quality of the finishing work and the way the problems were handled left something to be desired. For these reasons, I am giving EV Charger Expert three stars.
