We arrived at 11:45 am because they said they opened at 11am on a Tuesday. Lights aren't on...nothing to indicate when they would be back. Walked around the building...no movement. I wouldn't go to this place again even if you paid me. Disrespect for the customer who made time to come to their store.. I'm not even sure if their products are worth it. I'm out.

The fraying started a while ago and I was procrastinating about replacement, but now it was to a point that it was going to snap at any time, and it was time to replace. I was debating on replacing the lamp rather than spend the money to repair and I decided to repair it. I dropped it off on a Saturday afternoon and woman said it would be ready by Monday. I wasn't expecting it to be replaced so quickly. The cost of the replacement socket--the pull chain couldn't be replaced on its own--was $9.50, reasonable. The labor though was $28, and the total cost was almost $40. While I could have just purchased a new bed lamp for less than that, considering the alternative was having an otherwise good lamp go to landfill. I thought it was worth it price and now my lamp will last many more years. If you have lamp repairs, I would definitely bring it to Carlos Lighting for repair and support this local Mom and Pop business.

Not ready yet ok, January got excuses vendor behind bc employees won't come to work due to ICE raids?! That didn't make me feel confident to begin with! Now it is February and called again- same excuses. He says he will call me back and he did once and left a vm( same story- not ready and behind). Rest of the times, I had to call back a week later, bc never heard back! I'm still trying to figure if I am being scammed or what?! It's been like 3 months ( double the time initially stated). So if not coming this week as he said the vendor told him I'm disputing and doing a chargeback on my credit card! ETA: ok after all that was said and done, he did end up coming through today! So I upgraded from 1 star to 3 stars given the delay but did come through. So it took 3 months( from end of Nov 2025). However, the results were very nice. I will update later if any leaks or anything or we are good! So at least he came through 2-20-26.

I had an incredibly weird issue where some of my home outlets work and some do not and some were…read moreflickering in and out. The breaking point was when the internet became unreliable because the power was unreliable and the stove stopped working. I contacted Alex and he said he could send someone over that same day. He was transparent about the pricing before the job began. When his team member (Ming) came over he was thorough and transparent about what he found and Alex came over to assess himself. Turns out one of the main line coming into the house on the verge of burning out and thus the other 110v line was trying to compensate which caused it to also overload. This explained why the 240 outlets were not functioning. Our electrical was just old and the age caught up. He gave a reasonable estimate and fixed it by the end of the day. In passing, I also mentioned that although our stove worked, it seemed that it's power fades as I use it more and he was able to determine that line was under gauged for the load and was a fire hazard. Looking up the prior setup before my recent renovation, I see that they had incorrectly reduced the stove line from 40amps to 30amps. Alex and team was able to solved that problem as well, giving me updates along the way and providing very easy to understand explanations. This was an annoying problem plaguing us for years! Again, the pricing is very reasonable and the quality of work is exceptional. I highly recommend Alex Tong and his team.

My mom can't be bothered to go to the chair yoga we're paying for, but Giulio went to work. He's not totally mobile, but he knows his s#!t. Whenever I come in, he or whoever else is behind the counter is happy to chat through my issue and suggest something. It's not a Home Depot- so they may not have what you're looking for every time- but they have a lot of things, and it makes me happy to know my money is staying local. Also, side story: One day during the summer, it's like 90, and I am behind a contractor who's getting a bunch of stuff - lumber, rocks...I don't know- but he's paying for it, and he grabs some water bottles for him and his crew and puts them on the counter. Giulio totals him up and says a number; the guy says, "Oh, don't forget these waters". Giulio says, "The town where I come from in Italy has the best water in the world, and it flows right off the mountain. If my father knew I was charging people for water, he'd come back from the dead and strike me down. Those are free." C'mon. How can you not go here first?

They did have to change a few light fixtures out, but these guys were great in trouble shooting it and giving us advice on other items. This is a highly unprofessional. I had to spend hours after they left to clean up after them. 2. They made a wrong measurement and cut a hole in the drywall at the wrong place. When they 'fixed' the drywall, they made such a patchy work that I'm now forced to hire someone else to fix the drywall. 3. When we discussed initially, I had asked them to install recessed lights with cans. However, when they installed, they were canless recessed lights. So it would have been better to get the specification in writing. 4. There was no invoice given to the check payment that they took. All in all, I'm extremely dissatisfied with their service.
