I know some people think cloth diapers are hard to do, nothing could be further from the truth... especially with these folks in your corner. From the initial informational sessions they offer to see if it is a good fit for your family and lifestyle to the helpful nature of the staff. We wanted to go cloth as both of our families had us in cloth as babies and it is good for the environment. It can be daunting to think about but nothing could be easier. With weekly pick up and drop off service at our back door all we do is leave the dirty bag out in the AM and fresh diapers are there when we get home. To the lifestyle comment above. We are active and on the go, having cloth diapers is not an impediment to our way of life. We have been using green diaper babies for two years now, and it is fantastic. If you have a baby and are thinking about using cloth diapers, check out Green Diaper Babies! We always knew we wanted to use cloth diapers, since they are better for the environment and better for the baby's skin. But we are lazy, so we always knew we didn't want to have to do all of the extra laundry. This is where Green Diaper Babies comes in. They do everything for us, making our lives easier. Green Diaper Babies drops off a bag full of clean diapers every Monday, and takes away the dirty diapers. The clean diapers come in a clean diaper pail liner. We just put the clean diapers away, and then put the bag over the pail and start putting dirty diapers in it. We use the all in one diapers. They are super easy. The diaper is just one piece, all we do is put it on the baby and close the snaps! No one has to do anything special, except put the dirty diaper in a bag instead of the garbage. We bought a bunch of wet dry bags to hold dirty diapers while we're out of the house. They're really helpful, and easy to wash (I usually wash them with towels). I thought it was helpful to have a lot, so there's always a couple clean. I figure they will be useful for swimsuits etc in the future when we're done with diapers. We use cloth diapers during the day, and disposable bamboo diapers at night and while on vacation. You can order some bamboo diapers from Green diaper Babies to be dropped off with your cloth diapers. I've been cloth diapering with Green Diaper Babies for over 3 years. It's bittersweet - our diapering journey is coming to a close (yay potty training!) but I wanted to take a minute and provide a review with some honest feedback for anyone considering this service. -the team here is exceptional - they are so helpful and responsive with questions and adjustments to deliveries/pickups. They also go out of their way to check that the amount of diapers you are receiving is appropriate as well as the sizing. They often would send the next size up for me to test in advance, that was so helpful! -they offer helpful tools and resources for potty training. This seems counter intuitive as their livelihood is based on, well diapers lol...but I really appreciated that they recognized this as a point of difference and as a first time mom I was really grateful for that support. -you can opt to receive paper diapers in lieu of cloth if you are going to be out of town. I didn't realize this when I signed up, but it is SO NICE to have eco friendly paper diapers to use while traveling/on vacation. We cloth diaper 90% of the time but realistically it is hard to do 100% and the paper ones are great for airplanes, road trips, even long days away from home. -my toddler has on occasion thrown non-diaper items into the bag of dirties. They always make it back to me clean as new :) Lastly, I'll just say this: yes, you can technically diaper your child with Pampers for cheaper. That said, I'm so proud of the positive environmental impact cloth diapering has made possible for my family. I also love supporting a woman owned small business. And there is also medical research that claims cloth diapers positively impacts hip/joint development in infants compared to paper. This is also a great way to cloth diaper if you are in a building with shared laundry facilities and can't use the community units for diapers. Every family has to decide what works with their budget and is right for them. We've been using Green Diaper Babies for most of my son's life, who's now about 18 months, and I have all good things to say about the experience. They are responsive, helpful, and supportive. I love the softness of cloth diapers and the significant waste reduction over single-use disposable diapers. The number one question I get from friends when they hear I do cloth is, that's a lot of extra work?? It isn't! I get a clean batch of diapers at my door each week, I put the dirties in a bin, those go outside once a week for pickup. The all-in-one diapers are put on the same as your standard disposable diaper. And a reminder that it doesn't have to be all or nothing, I use disposable diapers if we're going away for a long weekend (which GDB will deliver eco-friendly disposable diapers too). We loved our cloth diaper service with Green Diaper Babies. We started out with the 1/2 pre-fold and 1/2 all-in-one package. The all-in-ones were so easy to use. There is a learning to curve to using the pre-folds, so just keep that in mind when you're considering cloth diapers- you have to be committed to wanting to use them. We got great advice from a friend that if you want to be successful using cloth diapers, it really helps to start with a diaper service so you don't have to worry about laundry as you are adjusting to life with a newborn. We are very happy with the quality of the pre-fold diapers and the cloth wipes from Green Diaper Babies, and it was also very easy to add other items to our order when we needed them (cloth diaper-safe diaper cream, etc.). The drop-off was reliable and I recommend the service to all of our friends who are considering cloth diapers. Green Diaper Babies is one of the best things that we have discovered since having our baby girl in February. We absolutely love using cloth diapers for many reasons. I used this service for the first 15 months of my son's life and contemplated changing to another service, but stayed with them until we moved out of state. Pros: -in home consultation and start up -consistent pick up/drop off -ability to pause service during vacations -diapers are always clean Cons: -delivery guy was once rude to me and used foul language -you have to notify them of changes a week in advance. Life does not always allow for planning a week out, and Shannon was not always understanding of this -I sometimes received too few diapers (compared to what I returned), occasionally was kidding wipes, and was sometimes charged even when I had a vacation hold. The problem was always remedied, but these are not issues one would expect. When my husband and I moved out of state after using the service for over a year, I would've expected a "thank you for your business email" or the like. That didn't happen. I have new service in my new location and receive the following amenities that should be considered; -an extra 10-20 diapers at no additional cos -organic diaper service at the same price point in a more expensive market -text reminders the night before delivery -extra bags/pails at no cost read more

My son is now 2 and we have been using this service since the day he was born. Everything is easy, straight-forward, and well-organized. They offer a free 'diapering 101' session that my husband and I took part in before our son was born and it was SO HELPFUL. I felt like we would not have been able to cloth diaper without the helpful info Shannon provided us with at that class. They offer a variety of packages including all-in-one, prefold, and even biodegradable paper (disposable) when you need them. There are no tricks or drawbacks that werent outlined from the beginning. You do NOT need to wash the diapers at home (just flush the 'plopable") and they provide the diaper pail and pail liners. I didnt think I would want the cloth wipes at first but it turned out I absolutely love them and highly recommend you include them in your package. They also give you a discount if you order fornlonger periods all at once. I am so sad to say that I'm a few weeks when we have used up all of our diapers we will not be using Green Diapers anymore. I'm sad 1 because it means my little man is not a baby anymore( when did that happen) and 2 we won't be communicating with Shannon and using such a great service. We've been using the service for three weeks now and it's been smooth sailing! We use the prefolds and cloth wipes and I have to say, I almost find it easier than using disposables simply because you're not taking the trash out everyday. (Not to mention not creating all that waste!) The cloth diapers are really easy to use and so far, not a rash or irritation in sight! I was worried about the smell initially since the pail isn't one of those crazy diaper genie type contractions but I've yet to really smell anything, even when we open the pail to deposit soiled diapers. (And trust me, it's not because my baby's diapers aren't smelly!) Shannon is very easy to communicate with and that's probably the biggest plus in my book.
