We knew we wanted to cloth diaper but knew nothing about it. A friend suggested looking for a company because you don't have to buy so many diapers & they truly make it so much easier! Plus it's actually MORE environmentally friendly because of the bulk washing Green Diaper Babies makes cloth diapering so easy!! We live in the northern suburbs of Chicago & they bring us perfectly clean cloth diapers weekly! We used them with our first daughter & again with our 2nd! With both girls, we saved over 6,000 diapers from the landfill which feels amazing read more

We spent about 4 years with Green Diaper Babies with our two children. The team was great, and made the ordering and subscription management process as easy as possible. We occasionally ordered the bamboo nature disposables for travel and they were also great. We really appreciated their great customer service and responsiveness. We highly recommend them to anyone thinking about using cloth diapers. It was interesting to see how many thousands of diapers we kept out of landfills at the end of the year, and provided some great piece of mind read more

I know some people think cloth diapers are hard to do, nothing could be further from the truth... especially with these folks in your corner. From the initial informational sessions they offer to see if it is a good fit for your family and lifestyle to the helpful nature of the staff. We wanted to go cloth as both of our families had us in cloth as babies and it is good for the environment. It can be daunting to think about but nothing could be easier. With weekly pick up and drop off service at our back door all we do is leave the dirty bag out in the AM and fresh diapers are there when we get home. To the lifestyle comment above. We are active and on the go, having cloth diapers is not an impediment to our way of life. You do the same as disposable carrying changes with you only difference is you have an extra bag to carry soiled ones home. Really not a big deal. read more

We have been using green diaper babies for two years now, and it is fantastic. If you have a baby and are thinking about using cloth diapers, check out Green Diaper Babies! We always knew we wanted to use cloth diapers, since they are better for the environment and better for the baby's skin. But we are lazy, so we always knew we didn't want to have to do all of the extra laundry. This is where Green Diaper Babies comes in. They do everything for us, making our lives easier. Green Diaper Babies drops off a bag full of clean diapers every Monday, and takes away the dirty diapers. The clean diapers come in a clean diaper pail liner. We just put the clean diapers away, and then put the bag over the pail and start putting dirty diapers in it. We use the all in one diapers. They are super easy. The diaper is just one piece, all we do is put it on the baby and close the snaps! No one has to do anything special, except put the dirty diaper in a bag instead of the garbage. We bought a bunch of wet dry bags to hold dirty diapers while we're out of the house. They're really helpful, and easy to wash (I usually wash them with towels). I thought it was helpful to have a lot, so there's always a couple clean. I figure they will be useful for swimsuits etc in the future when we're done with diapers. We use cloth diapers during the day, and disposable bamboo diapers at night and while on vacation. You can order some bamboo diapers from Green diaper Babies to be dropped off with your cloth diapers. All of the people we have dealt with at Green Diaper Babies have been really helpful, friendly, professional, and caring. I couldn't recommend Green Diaper Babies more. read more

I absolutely love Green Diaper Babies and will be using them again when my second child arrives. It took some convincing of my husband to get on board with cloth diapers. When I introduced him to this service that picks up and cleans the diapers weekly, he started to become more interested. We took one of Shannon's online classes to learn more about cloth diapering - the benefits and different types. She was wonderful and helped me sell cloth diapering to my spouse! As our first child has grown, we were easily able to adjust the sizing of the diapers for the next delivery. Every single staff member we've spoken to is MORE than helpful and friendly. We could not be happier with a diaper service and look forward to working with them again soon! read more

A few things I love about this service: -the free Cloth Diaper 101 before starting was a perfect way to see how easy it is to cloth diaper, ease my spouses mind about cloth diapering, and get all the answers to our questions. -registry option, we were able to get funds from our family and friends ahead of time! -flexibility, we just started but we're able to change our weekly service as needed and don't feel like we are pigeon held into having to use only prefolds for baby. -customer service is great, very prompt responses and you can really feel that the employees buy into the mission of reducing waste! read more

Fantastic service - the team is incredibly responsive, the products are high quality, and it is even more convenient than disposable diapers! (they pick up from the front door, which is closer than the garbage cans..) read more

I've been cloth diapering with Green Diaper Babies for over 3 years. It's bittersweet - our diapering journey is coming to a close (yay potty training!) but I wanted to take a minute and provide a review with some honest feedback for anyone considering this service. -the team here is exceptional - they are so helpful and responsive with questions and adjustments to deliveries/pickups. They also go out of their way to check that the amount of diapers you are receiving is appropriate as well as the sizing. They often would send the next size up for me to test in advance, that was so helpful! -they offer helpful tools and resources for potty training. This seems counter intuitive as their livelihood is based on, well diapers lol...but I really appreciated that they recognized this as a point of difference and as a first time mom I was really grateful for that support. -you can opt to receive paper diapers in lieu of cloth if you are going to be out of town. I didn't realize this when I signed up, but it is SO NICE to have eco friendly paper diapers to use while traveling/on vacation. We cloth diaper 90% of the time but realistically it is hard to do 100% and the paper ones are great for airplanes, road trips, even long days away from home. -my toddler has on occasion thrown non-diaper items into the bag of dirties. They always make it back to me clean as new :) Lastly, I'll just say this: yes, you can technically diaper your child with Pampers for cheaper. That said, I'm so proud of the positive environmental impact cloth diapering has made possible for my family. I also love supporting a woman owned small business. And there is also medical research that claims cloth diapers positively impacts hip/joint development in infants compared to paper. This is also a great way to cloth diaper if you are in a building with shared laundry facilities and can't use the community units for diapers. Every family has to decide what works with their budget and is right for them. If cloth diapering is a possibility for you and you are on the fence, I'd absolutely recommend doing a service through Green Diaper. read more

We love Green Diaper Babies! It's a great service that makes cloth diapering a breeze and it's run by a woman who is passionate about caring for the planet and her customers. When we had trouble figuring out how to fit our diapers on our newborn, she met with us and did a walkthrough. And we love getting postcards letting us know how many diapers we've saved from the landfill. Highly highly recommend them. read more

Absolutely wonderful service. Had an extended stay in Chicago for my son's first birthday and the transition from my LA service to Green Diaper Babies was seamless. The staff on hand are extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and kind. It was incredible to not worry about a different diapering method while visiting home. Thank you! read more

I got limited service from Green Diaper Babies when I was in town for a few weeks. I am so glad I connected with them because using disposable diapers was making me feel super-guilty. Shannon was super helpful in helping us set up and very flexible and understanding about our needs since we were in town for only a little bit. The diapers and wipes were convinently delivered and picked up at our hotel. I found the price to be reasonable as well. read more

We've been using Green Diaper Babies for most of my son's life, who's now about 18 months, and I have all good things to say about the experience. They are responsive, helpful, and supportive. I love the softness of cloth diapers and the significant waste reduction over single-use disposable diapers. The number one question I get from friends when they hear I do cloth is, that's a lot of extra work?? It isn't! I get a clean batch of diapers at my door each week, I put the dirties in a bin, those go outside once a week for pickup. The all-in-one diapers are put on the same as your standard disposable diaper. And a reminder that it doesn't have to be all or nothing, I use disposable diapers if we're going away for a long weekend (which GDB will deliver eco-friendly disposable diapers too). Also, I LOVE their kitchen towels add-on service, it has been an unexpected game changer for me and has drastically reduced the amount of paper towels I go through. It's so nice to have ample fresh kitchen towels for drying bottles, wiping up countertops, and kiddie post-meal cleanups. I certainly save $ going this route too. read more

A local, woman-owned small business that helps to reduce landfill waste, is extremely convenient and very responsive & professional. We only used paper diapers a handful of times on our infant, and only then did she get diaper rash. Green Diaper Babies is wonderful. And sometimes they partner with other local small businesses to offer perks -- like freshly roasted coffee beans, and who doesn't need those when you've got a baby at home. Absolutely fantastic and would recommend a dozen times. read more

Love this company. They make cloth diapering so easy and affordable. Everyone we've been in contact with at the company has been incredibly kind and peofessional. We highly recommend their services to anyone with a kiddo who needs diapering. Our baby's bum is so much happier in cloth and the planet is happier for our choice too! read more

The best way to cloth diaper!!! They are super communicative, kind, and prompt. They even washed and returned a cover I accidentally tossed into the diaper pail! Seriously- everyone I've ever interacted with is amazing, and baby girl has never once had a diaper rash and she's a year old! Quality products, quality people, the best for your baby's butt. read more

We loved our cloth diaper service with Green Diaper Babies. We started out with the 1/2 pre-fold and 1/2 all-in-one package. The all-in-ones were so easy to use. There is a learning to curve to using the pre-folds, so just keep that in mind when you're considering cloth diapers- you have to be committed to wanting to use them. Shannon is always available for questions and support, which is one of the things I really loved about using Green Diaper Babies. Everything with a new baby can be overwhelming and Shannon wants to make sure that cloth diapering is not one of those things. The diapers were dropped-off and picked-up on time and always arrived clean. We've had to put our service on hold and Shannon was very accommodating. We're hoping we can start using Green Diaper Babies again. read more

We've been using Green Diaper babies for cloth diapers and wipes since our child was born, and they've been wonderful. Everything is very straightforward, so it's one fewer thing to have to worry about while caring for a baby. And they've always been flexible when things change, as they often do. They've even teamed up with a local coffee roaster to deliver coffee along with the diapers during the pandemic, which we've been taking advantage of regularly. Highly recommended! read more

Love Green Diaper Babies! Their service is top notch and helped us every step of the way in building our new family. It's convenient and they take all the guesswork out of the equation. Thank you for helping our family! read more

I love these guys. We've used them for a year and half and they have fantastic service and wonderful products. If you are even considering cloth check them out, they have so many flexible options that include all types of cloth as well as disposable options. Really can't say enough good things about GDB. Don't fear cloth, they make it so easy! They also sometimes pair with other local businesses -- we've had flowers and coffee delivered too ha. read more

First time mom, had no idea what to expect - GDB makes everything so easy. From the very first meeting at cloth diapers 101 to answering questions/ changing orders, they are always responsive and supportive. My husband and I are both so happy with GDB. Highly recommend! read more

This is a FANTASTIC service that I can't say enough about. Green Diaper Babies is an affordable, eco-friendly option for new parents. All of our children have been sensitive to the chemicals and perfumes used in paper diapers. Cloth diapering on your own is so much work. We were thrilled to learn about the Green Diaper Babies service, and even happier with the cost and customer experience. We have had zero issues with delivery and pick up. In fact, one evening with a particularly fussy baby, I didn't get my diapers put out in time. I saw the delivery driver pull up. He waited for me to gather up my diapers and took them from me to make sure everything kept running smoothly. Especially in this uncertain time, it is so nice to know that I will not be running out to the store for diapers. read more

We just started with diaper service and could not be happier! The orientation was very helpful and they spent a lot of time answering all of our questions. They also have videos on their website, which are great for quick refresher trainings! We chose a package with half prefolds and all in one diapers. We like this option because it gives us time to try each type and see if we prefer one for the long run. Shannon was so friendly and helpful! Great experience so far! read more

We are so grateful for GDB! They've made cloth diapering as easy as possible for us -especially as we transitioned to first time parents. Communication was always a breeze, pickup went smoothly each time, and we were always able to make adjustments to our order as needed. I highly recommend their services. And if you're like us and tend to stay on the minimal side for baby related items, adding the service as a registry item makes such a great gift! read more

We love Green Diaper Babies! products are amazing & customer service is stella. Our little one is so happy in her cloth diapers

We got great advice from a friend that if you want to be successful using cloth diapers, it really helps to start with a diaper service so you don't have to worry about laundry as you are adjusting to life with a newborn. This was absolutely true! We are very happy with the quality of the pre-fold diapers and the cloth wipes from Green Diaper Babies, and it was also very easy to add other items to our order when we needed them (cloth diaper-safe diaper cream, etc.). The drop-off was reliable and I recommend the service to all of our friends who are considering cloth diapers. It was also nice not to have to worry about getting new diapers as our baby grew, we just let Shannon know that we needed the next size up for the following week. If you are unsure of whether or not you want to use cloth diapers, you should sign up for Shannon's free cloth diaper workshop to make sense of all of your choices. Even if you don't end up using Green Diaper Babies' service, it will help you be successful in your cloth diaper experience. read more

Amazing company! Shannon is so responsive and helpful with any question or issue. We moved to a new town and they made sure to give us extra diapers and let us know our new pick up schedule way in advance in order to not miss any days. Tony the driver is wonderful and also very helpful and communicative. We are so happy to support and be working with such a great local small business! I can't say enough good things about them! read more

We are cloth all the way - thank goodness we have Green Diaper Babies! We went to a free class where we learned about the options and then took the plunge. Feels good to not be contributing diapers for landfill. We use their cloth diapers and cloth wipes which are always delivered on time clean and organized. Shannon and the team have always been very responsive to our questions and requests. Best of all, the delivery person will climb up 3 flights to our back deck in the rain, heat, or snow to deliver our clean diapers and pick up our dirties. Thank you GDB! Looking forward to using your services for baby #2 due in March! read more

Green Diaper Babies is one of the best things that we have discovered since having our baby girl in February. We absolutely love using cloth diapers for many reasons. Our baby smells better when wearing cloth vs. disposable diapers, and we have found cloth diapers to be extremely absorbent. Our baby doesn't get rashes and we feel so good about the reduced waste. We opted to also use cloth wipes, which has been so easy and convenient! Shannon is an absolute pleasure to work with. Our service has always been super prompt, kind, and professional. I highly recommend Green Diaper Babies! read more

I used this service for the first 15 months of my son's life and contemplated changing to another service, but stayed with them until we moved out of state. Pros: -in home consultation and start up -consistent pick up/drop off -ability to pause service during vacations -diapers are always clean Cons: -delivery guy was once rude to me and used foul language -you have to notify them of changes a week in advance. Life does not always allow for planning a week out, and Shannon was not always understanding of this -I sometimes received too few diapers (compared to what I returned), occasionally was kidding wipes, and was sometimes charged even when I had a vacation hold. The problem was always remedied, but these are not issues one would expect. When my husband and I moved out of state after using the service for over a year, I would've expected a "thank you for your business email" or the like. That didn't happen. I have new service in my new location and receive the following amenities that should be considered; -an extra 10-20 diapers at no additional cos -organic diaper service at the same price point in a more expensive market -text reminders the night before delivery -extra bags/pails at no cost read more

We have had a wonderful experience with Green diaper babies! We used them twice for cloth diapers for our kids. They were always prompt to respond to emails about any question we had. We also appreciated their communication about pickup times with reminder emails that were so helpful. I would happily recommend this diaper service to anyone! read more

Cloth diapers are a tradition in our family. I was so excited when my mom gifted us three months of cloth diaper service. As a first time mom, it was an awesome experience having fresh diapers delivered every week. I could contact Shannon anytime I had questions or wanted to change the order. It was so easy. I highly recommend this service to anyone who is a cloth diaper veteran or a newbie like myself! read more

Coming from California, I didn't think I would find another diaper service that was comparable to Tiny Tots. Green Diaper Babies (and Shannon) blew me away with their responsiveness and professionalism. I wish we could have used them for longer, but our new daycare only allows for disposables. Great service and products. read more

Update: After our previous review Shannon reached out to make things right. She was very apologetic for the delayed response and took full responsibility for the situation. Although our we hit a rough patch at the end our service, we still wish they served our area. Everyone we dealt with, including their delivery/pickup team, were always courteous and helpful. There's nothing great about having to deal with diapers but this diaper service always has your back (or in this case, your baby's bottom). Highly recommended! read more

We LOVE Green Diaper Babies! After 3+ years of using this fantastic service I have experienced nothing but superb customer service and a reliable product. I would highly recommend using them if you're considering a cloth diaper service. read more

My son is now 2 and we have been using this service since the day he was born. Everything is easy, straight-forward, and well-organized. They offer a free 'diapering 101' session that my husband and I took part in before our son was born and it was SO HELPFUL. I felt like we would not have been able to cloth diaper without the helpful info Shannon provided us with at that class. They offer a variety of packages including all-in-one, prefold, and even biodegradable paper (disposable) when you need them. There are no tricks or drawbacks that werent outlined from the beginning. You do NOT need to wash the diapers at home (just flush the 'plopable") and they provide the diaper pail and pail liners. I didnt think I would want the cloth wipes at first but it turned out I absolutely love them and highly recommend you include them in your package. They also give you a discount if you order fornlonger periods all at once. The customer service has been excellent; I made lots of inquiries when we were first starting and they were always kind and helpful. I could not recommend this service more! read more

We were with Green Diaper Babies for almost 2 years. Consistent, pleasant, made cloth 100% doable.

Shannon went to great lengths to accommodate me pre-baby and during the postpartum haze. When I was pregnant, she let me come in for a cloth diaper tutorial and when I was too overwhelmed with a baby that refused to sleep, Shannon was 100% understanding of my needs. I will forever appreciate her support! Diapers were always delivered on time and I never ran out. The diaper cream and wipes were a game-changer...no red bum! I cannot recommend Green Diaper Babies enough! read more

I am so sad to say that I'm a few weeks when we have used up all of our diapers we will not be using Green Diapers anymore. I'm sad 1 because it means my little man is not a baby anymore( when did that happen) and 2 we won't be communicating with Shannon and using such a great service. From the moment Shannon met with us individually and showed us our diaper options we knew this was the company for us. Shannon and the Green diaper service have been so accommodating when we needed to change delivery dates, needed more or less diapers, needed different sizes, and when we forgot to put out dirty diapers for pick up(only once). We will not be going far we will be back with number 2 when that happens. Sad to go but onto another chapter of wet underwear(which they do carry). Caitlin read more

Shannon is really cool and helpful. They are very organized and thoughtful. If you are considering cloth diaper, I strongly recommend Green Diaper Babies! read more

We've been using the service for three weeks now and it's been smooth sailing! We use the prefolds and cloth wipes and I have to say, I almost find it easier than using disposables simply because you're not taking the trash out everyday. (Not to mention not creating all that waste!) The cloth diapers are really easy to use and so far, not a rash or irritation in sight! I was worried about the smell initially since the pail isn't one of those crazy diaper genie type contractions but I've yet to really smell anything, even when we open the pail to deposit soiled diapers. (And trust me, it's not because my baby's diapers aren't smelly!) Shannon is very easy to communicate with and that's probably the biggest plus in my book. I've made several last minute changes and all I've had to do is shoot her an email. If only everything about taking care of an infant was this easy! read more
