I walked here from work a couple times. It's about a mile from my office. This pita place is right in a plaza. You can sit in there and enjoy the food or order to go. Both times I was here, I ordered to go. It's truly an express pita. You order your food, they make it in front of you, and you pay. Well, other than the pastry. I had a piece of the bakalav. Let's get something out of the way, right now: this is definitely not Greek; it's the other side of the Mediterranean. I ordered a chicken gyro platter (grilled chicken, rice, salad, and a pita) and a $3 side of spanakopita. Not cheap; dinner totaled $18 with a soda. Someone's been heavy-handed with the Moroccan spice rub; the rice and somewhat-dry chicken are deep brown with a blend of black pepper, cinnamon, cloves, cumin, and turmeric. They're generous with their chicken and whole-clove-studded basmati rice, and both the gyro platter and the spanakopita included a respectable dollop of minty tzatziki. The salad, cut romaine with a wedge of tomato, thin slices of onion, and a sweet vinaigrette, took some collateral damage from the Moroccan seasoning sweep, making it a little odd, but not inedible. What's missing? Lemon and oregano. That's Greek. Not this. Don't get me wrong, Moroccan flavors are great, but they're more pleasurable when they've been infused in a dish throughout the cooking process, not applied thickly afterwards. I might pop in again, but perhaps only for a gyro sandwich, à la carte. I think $15 is a bit steep for the addition of rice and salad. read more

We've been waiting for them to open and finally went there tonight. I'm definitely planning on being a frequent customer, the food was amazing! We got the Gyro Platter, Falafel Platter and Baklava. The meals were very filling and about $10 each. I love baklava and am really excited to have somewhere close by to get it! The guys working were very friendly and we are definitely impressed! I had the classic Gyro sandwich because I love Lamb! I decided to go for Greek Fries this time and boy that Garlic sauce was amazing! I found myself actually dipping my Gyro in the sauce since it was so tasty. My wife is not a fan of Lamb so she went with the Arabic Shawarmah with Chicken. Tried the Chicken Gyro Salad for lunch today. I am definitely a fan of this place, but do not think I will order the salad again. They were VERY generous with the chicken which was delicious. But, the rest of the salad was mostly lettuce. Just a couple small chucks of tomato & cucumber. Tiny bit of feta and a couple strips of red onion. Traditionally I like my greek salads to have lot's of tomato, cucumber and red onion. So, I will be trying something else next time. read more

I only noticed this place for the first time while were getting coffee at the Starbucks drive through so decided to give it a try to get take out dinner for tonight. The food and service are absolutely AMAZING! My wife is a very picky eater, but I thought she would want to give the chicken gyro platter a try, and I went for the classic gyro platter. We also decided to give the falafel and greek fries a try. My wife said the food was surprisingly to her amazingly good, she absolutely loved it and she was all about the rice that came with the platter. I traveled a lot, been to a lot of places, but this is by far one of the best gyro platters I ever had. Everything from the yoghurt, the freshness of the lettuce and tomato, the meat, and even the garlic sauce were just outstanding. This place deserves the 5 stars I gave. read more

I too work in the area and have been waiting and waiting for this place to be open for another close easy work lunch place. When I went the line was HUGE, but it didnt take too long to get our food and the staff was very friendly. I got the Gyro Salad and it was amazing, the meat was fresh all the toppings were delicious and the sauces were great. The only thing I would have liked more of was olives they are my favorite part :) The salad was super filling and I probably shouldn't of kept eating, but I finished almost all of it because it was so good. Arriving just about noon on a Wednesday, I ordered the beef and lamb gyro combo (gyro with fries and fountain drink), which rung up to about $12, less some pocket change. What I got was a fresh-tasting pita wrapped around a ton of gyro meat, fresh lettuce, ripe tomatoes with a creamy, fresh tzatziki sauce, a pile of crispy, hot fries and a good sized drink. More than enough for lunch, although I did leave more than 1/2 the fries. Delicious, seemingly healthy and the wait was next to zero. Only pause was the parking was sparse so I can see this place being hard to park on busier days. I'll be back for sure. read more

My family love the the gyro platter and lentil soup. My son and daughter are picky eaters, but we never have a problem when we take them to have their gyro meat and lentil soup. I got their gyro salad and Greek French fries a couple days ago. Both were DELICIOUS and generous in portion size. I was so excited to go in again today. Service is wonderful-- always smiling and they happily accommodated my request for dressing on the side. Delicious Mediterranean food! A little less garlicky, quicker, and open later than Mediterranean Kitchen :). I was surprised at the Subway-style assembly line but it was dinnertime and crowded, which is always a good sign. I got the Mixed Vegetable sandwich with a side of lentil soup, while husband got the Falafel sandwich with a side of Greek salad. It was one of the best Mediterranean sandwiches I've had in a long time. Super satisfying, crisp, and flavorful. Wish I had room for baklava, but I was stuffed! I grew up on the south side of Chicago and I have traveled to the areas of the world where this food originates (specifically Greece, Turkey and Egypt). Both these regions of the world are known for their fantastic local cultural eateries and their delicious foods. Gyros and shawarmah's were some of my favorite things to eat in my youth and on my travels because they are local fare, hearty, reasonably priced and bring forth the unique cooking style and flavors of these regions. I can honestly say this is as close to the quality, taste and presentation of these foods as I have ever had in our local market (northeast side). The only thing missing at Greek Pita is the crazy, dusty Cairo street full of cars randomly honking their horns trying to run me over as I blissfully indulge in my delicious shawarmah! My first criteria when I decided to try this newly opened restaurant was to see if the beef and lamb meat was actually cooked on a vertical spit, the way it is in the Mediterranean part of the world . (I have been to another so-called "Greek" restaurant locally where this did not happen and the result was awful!) Cooking the meat on a vertical spit crisps the outside surface of the meat and keeps the inside tender and juicy. When the outside is crispy, it is thin-sliced off the spit, exposing the next "layer" of the meat surface to the roasting element. Who doesn't like the crispy outside edge of cooked meats? This is cooked meat perfection, I know! Greek Pita cooks their meats the way they are supposed to! They shave them off the vertical spit and finish them on a griddle with onions and spices. They are crispy on the edges and juicy throughout and spiced just right. Their pita breads are warm and fresh. The tzatziki sauce is delicious. The classic gyro is a great sandwich done just right. There is lots to try on this menu, I will return often for this delicious food! read more

Quality food and friendly service. Went on a Saturday and the wait was nearly 30 minute. The Greek fries are good and a very good portion for the piece, enough sauce and season to complete the food. The sandwich was good, I ordered it with extra meat. And was more supprised that even still there was very little in my sandwich. There were only 2 employees working and seemed a little overwhelmed with the line that started forming. I somehow ended up in Bothell one day and I made a stop at Greek Pita because I was starving and also wanted to wait until traffic died down before making the drive home. I ordered a vegetarian sandwich and I was very pleasantly surprised. It contained a mix of veggies (like fried cauliflower) and falafel. Ingredients were very fresh. I scarfed the whole thing down and I was full but it did not feel heavy. The next time I find myself in Bothell and am hungry, I would not hesitate to come here for a quick bite. read more
