Welp... I've been holding off on leaving this review for the last year or so. However, the time has…read morefinally come, as I have officially reached my breaking point. Fresh Chef used to be my safe haven when it came to Cornelius dining. I've been coming here since 2015, and used to be obsessed with the kale. Unfortunately, that obsession has come to an end. The kale salad at this location has become a complete mess, with absolutely no consistency. One day it's basically unseasoned kale, the next it tastes like straight lemon, and another day it might be swimming in oil. 131 main and other fresh chef locations are still able to make the kale they way it's supposed to be made so I know you guys have it in you to do it right. Please dig deep and bring back the kale you were at one point known for.

I've been a fan of NYBS's restaurant since they opened, and my husband and I would visit at least…read moreonce a month for dinner.  Unfortunately, after a few recent bad experiences, we won't be returning.   My biggest issues recently have been - * Excessive salt on the Salmon BLT sandwich and meatballs - formerly, two of our favorite dishes * Smoked salmon fonduta - heating smoked salmon made this a fishy, unpalatable appetizer * Hamburger overcooked and dry, even with the added (very thinly sliced) cheddar cheese * Soggy fries * Crabcake aioli too sweet * Not enough servers to handle the demand in the restaurant, and we've noticed some turnover, too   I appreciate that NYBS offers reasonably priced specials and beverages, but their food quality has declined significantly since we first started eating there.  The only things we still enjoy are the steak flight, wings, and gouda and bacon macaroni and cheese.  It pains me to say this, but we are done. The decline in food quality and inattentive service have removed this restaurant from our rotation.

This is honestly a sad review to make. I really love sweetgreen. This is the only place my wife and…read moreI like to eat at (usually to-go). We usually order sweetgreen twice a week, and we always order the same thing. The wraps are our favorite...but recently the quality of them has been extremely shoddy; I have had completely soaked wraps with thoroughly soggy tortilla, both of us constantly not getting everything we pay for (through doordash), the amount of food in the wraps varies DRASTICALLY, I have received wraps that are barely rolled into a burrito with all the innards falling out... I ordered the same wrap today I usually get with two proteins; steak and chicken, and there was I am not joking two pieces of chicken in it.... I re-ordered the wraps today and when they got here and I saw they were soggy I just had to make this review. Our orders have been like this for the past 10+ times we've ordered. As a loyal customer, it is too bad I have to make this review but I cannot really recommend sweetgreen because of their lack of consistency, I wish I had more pictures of what HAS BEEN the issue, but this is the 3rd and 4th wrap I ordered today and they are both soggy and wet. I hope the business owner pays attention to this because we want to see you guys succeed!

This was my first visit to sweet green. Nestled in the middle of Birkdale Village's main street,…read moresweet green is a quick serve spot with lots of choices for bowls and plates of fresh salad, greens, and proteins. They have a large menu board, kiosks to place your orders, and outdoor seating. We tried the harvest bowl, but on mine I added chickpeas. You can customize your orders to however you want, even down to the dressing. We also tried the bbq chicken salad. All large portions which were very filling. Healthy ingredients such as kale, sweet potatoes and wild rice will make any salad lover happy here. My only complaint would be the seating on the side. Benches were a little uncomfortable, but that is a minor thing, considering you can take your order to go and sit elsewhere in the Village. Food is delicious and fresh. I will definitely try something else next time too to enjoy more of the menu.

We loved the name, and it's easy to see why it's a local favorite. The place has a lot of charm, and everyone was welcoming, cheerful, and accommodating. We liked the casual setup - you can grab a local beer from the fridge, order at the counter, find a spot on the covered patio, and they'll bring your smoothies and food to you. Everything was fresh and delicious, and our kids enjoyed their meals too. The salads were a little different from what was listed on the menu because they use what's fresh that day, but they were still really good, and the dressing was amazing. Before heading home, we picked up a crumble, a snickerdoodle, and a dried cherry chocolate chunk cookie. So glad we did, they were all delicious!

The tenders are always the reason I keep coming back because the quality is just so good. The fries are usually just alright for me. They tend to come out a little hard sometimes, so they're definitely not my favorite part of the meal. But like I said, the tenders make up for it! I will say it is pretty pricey for a fast-ish food place. A 5-piece tender meal is usually around $16, which, in my opinion, is a lot for fast food chicken tenders. I typically always pick up my order but have been inside a few times. The staff is very friendly and it's usually pretty clean.
