Just had carpet installed today and so in love! A few months back we had gone to Greatway to select our carpet- they let us bring home boards and swatches to keep for a few days and see how it would look in the space/different lighting. A few trips back and forth with different options and we finally chose something. Al came over to measure and we scheduled installation back in March. Due to COVID19, we all agreed to postpone the installation and the timing felt safe now. Jose and his partner showed up in masks and gloves today to install and did a perfect job. Well worth the wait! Thrilled with the finished product and the customer service throughout the process. Thank you!

After seeing all the positive reviews on Angie's List, i selected Sue to replace my water damaged…read morehardwood floors. I am so disappointed with my experience with Carpet and Flooring Center. The only reason Sue is not getting an F is because the floor is finally installed and looks acceptable. That is all due to her installation team, Carlos. The process of getting the floor installed was a totally nightmare. We paid our deposit in October 2019. The floor was not completed until January 4, 2020. First, despite giving us a contract based on a visit to our home, where she saw the exposed concrete slab (floor was torn up due to water damage), Sue ordered the wrong type of floor. This was the week before Thanksgiving. Her installer opened the box and immediately knew the flooring could not be installed on a concrete slab. This lead to an additional $1,000 charge since her bid did not include priming the concrete slab. Fine, mistakes happen and my insurance was paying, no big deal. Next, she tried to redeliver the floor when were weren't home, despite me giving her the days and times we were available in writing. ok, no big deal, mistakes happen. Third, the installation was rescheduled for the Saturday before Christmas. The team never showed up. Called Sue, she said there was a mix up and could they come on the 23rd and 24th? I was pretty nervous to have them working up to Christmas Eve but Sue assured me they would get it done and my family would be enjoying out new floor in time for Christmas. Instead of spending the two days before Christmas enjoying some vacation time, we were trapped upstairs while the crew worked downstairs. At noon on Christmas Eve, I peeked downstairs and saw most of the floor was almost done. I was wondering why it was taking so long to complete the last 10% of the floor and why Carlos was out in the driveway on the phone. Little did I know he was on the phone telling Sue she didn't order enough flooring, despite having been in our house to measure herself! Instead of calling me to explain and apologize, Sue took the coward way out and sent Carlos to break the news that he didn't have enough material to complete he job and he was leaving. Did Sue come to my house to apologize face to face for her utter failure to complete the floor on Christmas Eve as promised? Nope. Did she call me to tell me what was going on? Nope. Did she answer any of the dozens of calls I made to her, or answer any of the messages I left her on 12/24? Nope. How about reply to my emails? Radio silence. A few days later (!!! Yes DAYS LATER) she called to say the rest of the floor would be delivered the upcoming Friday and could I take more time off work for the delivery and so they could finish the job? No apology, no taking responsibility for her lack of communication, no explanation, no refunds. The job was finally completed on January 4th - the long nightmare was over. Could never recommend Sue and Carpet and Flooring Centers after the abhorrent, unprofessional experience I had.

Empty water bottles left in my house, drank MY water in MY bedroom, scratched my brand new bed, for whatever reason they put my nursery chair IN MY daughter's crib and gauged the wood. They "leveled" my floors without using a level, amazing right. They put my husband's door on crooked, I know, that's talent. They cut stuff in my driveway, fine, but they left the garage door open and everything in my garage is covered in saw dust. They unplugged outlet covers I had for my kids, fine they need to plug in tools, but then they threw them away. We had cable wires tacked up on the old molding yet they left the wires hanging all over the place AND threw our half of the hooks I had & left me with 3. They left cement in my kitchen sink that I had to scrub off, Cut the nose of my steps so my kids safety gate just hangs & when the carpet installer came he said "this guy did this again" & he had to nail a piece of flooring to the step so my carpet didn't sag, half of my living room clearly isn't even because my end table now wobbles, my dining room wasn't close to being done correctly when it was leveled, the plywood clearly wasn't nailed down & the floor had to come up and be redone. My daughters floor has a massive scratch going through it.. They left my brand new sofa filthy covered in dust and scratched, when I told Sue she said "what's the material" and nothing else when I told her. After I gave her $13,000, after the 9500 deposit, I was annoyed at all of this & wanted to know when my carpet would be installed, I had 3 phone calls unanswered & countless texts ignored. Sue then says "just relax it'll all be perfect, you have nothing to worry about, call me anytime" that was a TOTAL JOKE. I have never seen a more unprofessional, rude, nasty crew in my life. MY husband is actually going through our house as we speak with a 4 foot level & it's ridiculous that it's still so uneven. Actually, not hard to believe because THEY DIDN'T USE A LEVEL TO LEVEL MY FLOORS. I don't know but after spending almost $24,000 it should be PERFECTION.

Unfortunately, the installer left my home in a shocking state. I was in a meeting when they finished, so I only gave a quick glance and thought everything looked fine. Later, when I inspected more closely, I was stunned by the mess left behind. It was unacceptable and very disappointing to have to clean up after a professional installation. Great carpet and decent workmanship, but the lack of respect for my home and cleanup was incredibly frustrating.

We had carpet replaced and vinyl plank flooring put in a few years ago. I'm only writing this…read morereview now because every time I walk on my carpet or see the gaps in the floor I'm reminded of what a terrible job installers did. I hate leaving bad reviews, and always give companies a chance to rectify. First of all, my house is old, so the upstairs had leveling under the old carpet. The installers , who spoke zero English by the way, threw out the leveling planks and now I have holes in my floor under the new carpet. Every time I walk up there I step into a ditch. We had the rep come out to see but nothing was ever done about it. About a year or two after, we decided quite stupidly, to use them again for the vinyl floor. They did an ok job in most of the rooms except when you look at the edges by the walls. Huge gaps that don't butt up to the walls so my floors move and space out. Plus it looks sloppy. The trim they put around corners of wall doesn't stay nailed in, so everyday I have to push them back in. The other issue we had after installation was ink coming off the vinyl. It looked like dirt all over our feet and no matter how much I washed or scrubbed the floors it wouldn't stop. The company sent a woman to test the floors. We had a new puppy at the time who had a little accident. I sprayed a paper towel with the puppy urine cleaner and proceeded to wipe up the small piddle. Well wouldn't you know, the woman who was there to take a sample of the floor lied in her report and said we didn't clean up the urine with nothing but a dry paper towel! Now I'm a total clean freak and would NEVER leave dog urine on my floors! So this lie voided anything being done to rectify the situation. Thankfully, with no help from them, the ink seemed to stop coming up off the floor after a few more washes. However, the floors constantly show streaks and footprints no matter how much you wash them, especially after using their recommended floor cleaner. It leaves a yucky film. Now I'm looking at selling my house. I can't sell it with holes in the upstairs floor under the carpet. I'll have to get new carpet put in and spend more money. Oh, and the 6k carpet I bought is so cheap and is fraying all on the stairs. Mind you 6 k to carpet 3 small bedrooms, a 3 foot by 3 foot hallway and one flight of stairs. Another 6 k to do my downstairs in vinyl plank. My house is only 1200 square feet . I also recently needed a vinyl plank replaced in my kitchen due to a chip from dropping a pot. They charged me for an entire box of flooring and ended up replacing a quarter of my kitchen floor. All for one plank. Then they did it wrong and left a gap in between planks, and had to come back to fix it. That took an additional few weeks, I'll never use them again.
