The GM got us signed in quickly and went over everything we needed to know heading in. She was very personable and friendly and got us started a bit early so we could head to our other rooms after. The room itself was great, it was well decorated and had some interesting and unique puzzles. It's a difficult room and we slipped out with a mere 5 minutes remaining. They do use the older style clue system of a walkie talkie but the GM was very attentive and responded to us right away if we asked for help with anything. It was a great experience and we'd gladly return for more rooms in the future.

It can be hard to spot but luckily I had a couple of friends that have gone to one of the escape rooms here before. I feel like the employees inside are very go-go-go! So make sure you arrive for your appointment on time. They direct you to the bathroom inside too and the theming of it all is amazing. Not what you would expect from the outside. We were able to do the Courtyard room and it was like we were in a set. I was very amazed by the detail and the props, and of course so proud of the group I was with because we were able to pass the room (despite a 20% success rate!). The story threw me off at first but after researching on the website after the escape room, I understand now that we did the last chapter of the journey. LOL oops! Nontheless we all had so much fun and you are really immersed and sucked into the story. I think that I would love to come here again but there is a pretty big price point that you have to be okay spending (weekdays it was like 43-46$. I really appreciate the high quality camera they use and a unique background for a nice group photo to capture the memories. Would be cool to have props photo booth style but it's okay, definitely a more formal and really detailed escape room. Highly recommend!! PS Lockers for phones and stuff to place are in the lobby but it's secured with a key that one of the group members keep.

Getting inside the building was interesting; turns out, there is a puzzle to solve! Once inside, we sat down, waited for the rest of our friends then signed the waiver. Thankfully, they did have a bathroom we could use ahead of time. Once we got our initial instructions from the staff member, we went into a room and received more instructions on a screen. The basement is a very immersive room, the cast member who was part of it did an amazing job! I'm so sad I can't remember her name, she truly was a delight! She even reassured me at the beginning when I was freaking out. We managed to escape with about 6 minutes left, I wish I had taken exact note of how much time. We took a celebratory picture and then I got some merch, a t shirt saying I escape the basement and one of the enamel pins. Me and my friends came to celebrate a birthday and I think we will be back in November for another friend's birthday to do the next room! I'm gonna buy a new enamel pin each time we win, I think. Definitely looking forward to coming back! Couple tips: come in one car, the lot is very small and there was only one spot left when we got there and our friends had to park farther away. For the celebratory picture, make sure to look at the right spot and fix your hair beforehand lol. Lastly, bring cash to tip the staff members! They deserve it for being so awesome! He was graceful, welcoming, articulate, and just incredibly comfortable to be around. You could tell he was genuinely excited for us and rooting for us the entire time. It never once felt rushed, forced, or annoyed, which makes such a huge difference with escape rooms. His energy elevated the entire experience, and the way he saved the best part for the end by showing us the other escape rooms and hyping up future experiences was honestly genius. He alone is a huge reason I would come back. We ended up doing one of the hardest rooms with four people total, including myself, and we completed it in under 40 minutes, which felt amazing. Alan was clearly impressed with our performance, and that encouragement made it even more fun. The puzzles were challenging but fair, engaging without being frustrating, and the whole experience felt really well thought out. I'm from the San Gabriel Valley and would absolutely drive out here again without hesitation. I actually came because a friend is local and we were meeting up, and it was more than worth the drive. A couple of small things worth mentioning just to be transparent, getting there can be a little confusing since it's on the third floor, and if you park in the back you want to enter on the left side. Signing up online was easy and seamless, everything felt organized and respected, and we showed up early which Alan appreciated and even mentioned so kindly. There was a slight carpet type smell when we first walked in, but once you're inside and focused on the experience, you stop noticing it completely. The lobby is on the smaller side, but since we were the only group there, it wasn't a big deal at all. I also really appreciated that they had hand sanitizer available. Overall, this was such a fun, memorable experience, and I left already wanting to come back. It's very easy to mess but if you drive slowly, it is literally right next to the building. You turn in and there should be a wellness center on your left. Continue to go forward and turn left and the parking garage is there. It has multiple levels going down. It's typically about $1 for an hour and no they do not validate. There is free parking nearby in another garage but for a dollar to be able to walk up and be right there is much better in my opinion. When you arrive, you call the phone number on the front door and they come unlock the door to let you in the inside. Has multiple VR experiences aside from VR room itself. There are multiple spaces so more than one group could have an experience at the same time. Once you sign the waivers, they take you back to your space that is reserved and put the headsets on for you. After putting on the headset to your timer starts and you start your gaming experience. Pretty easy to understand instructions from the game guide. Just try your best not to walk into any walls and respect the boundaries. It's a lot of fun. Sometimes the airflow is not great so you definitely feel sweaty on your face but other times they'll turn on the fans and it feels good the whole time you're there. Definitely great for less active activity but still very engaging. They don't really explain the game to you and kind of leave you to figure it out on your own, but the games are not super complicated to understand. The game guides are pretty nice and quick to help out with technical issues. You cannot hear other games that are happening at the same time as you. They are there and the space is open, but VR headset quickly muffles out any other sound so it's very easy to focus on your own game. Great place if you don't have anything to do for an hour in the afternoon. And it's so close to the 3rd St Promenade that you can walk over and experience that when you're done. We typically like to walk over to Go Greek on Ocean Avenue afterward for a fun FroYo snack.
