I usually don't leave reviews when I have a bad experience somewhere, but this is something I felt needed to be addressed. The cleanliness of this place is unacceptable. While I was waiting for a worker, I saw a roach crawling on the counter. Seeing a cockroach in an area that customers regularly interact with is very concerning. Cleanliness should be a basic priority for any business, and this experience left me questioning the overall sanitation standards. If there's one roach visible during business hours, it's hard not to wonder how many more there might be that customers don't see. I usually love this place and bring my children here about three times a month. However, I'm giving two stars based on our experience on Saturday, November 22nd around 5:30 p.m. From the moment we arrived until closing, the staff displayed a concerning lack of professionalism. Several employees were gathered in groups, focused on their phones, and using inappropriate language--including profanity--which is completely unacceptable in a children's environment. They frequently walked behind my children and removed toys they were actively playing with, making it difficult for them to enjoy themselves. Additionally, staff members were openly gossiping about another employee taking an hour-long break. When that employee returned, he confronted a coworker, and the argument continued in front of guests. At one point, two staff members were even chasing each other to the restroom. The overall behavior was chaotic and unprofessional. I'm truly disappointed, as this is supposed to be a safe and fun place for little kids. Unfortunately, due to the unprofessional conduct and inappropriate language used around children, I will not be returning. read more

My daughter visited Imagine City for her first school field trip and fell in love with it. Twice now I've tried to bring her to play again, only to be turned away because of a private party. This time I called ahead to make sure it was open and was told that there were no parties scheduled, so I brought her to play for her 5th birthday. She chose this place over anything else we could have done. We arrived at 3:00 to find that it was closed for the rest of the day for a private party. We had to leave, with my daughter crying and heartbroken. I understand needing to book parties because it's a business, even if it's last minute, but I wish there was some sort of policy that would keep this from happening in the future for children looking forward to visiting this magical little business. Edit: I called Thursday morning (July 31st) to see if it was open for us to visit on Saturday (August 2nd). I was never directed to the website and told it had up-to-date info and to check there to be safe, which I would have preferred to do since it sounds like this fiasco wouldn't have happened had I known. I went on what the employee assured me, that we could come Saturday August 2nd anytime from open to close. We celebrated at home, ate lunch at the mall, and then went to Imagine City in the afternoon, and I thought nothing of it because I was assured we could come anytime during business hours today. Addition: I would have preferred to talk to someone to see what could be done, but with a birthday party underway I didn't want to pull any employees away from what they needed to do, and I also didn't want to further upset my daughter. I just want to be able to take my daughter here to play because it brings her such joy. I get that things fall through the cracks, but since this has happened before and it was her birthday and she was so upset it struck a nerve. Attempting another visit in future makes me a bit nervous, since this has happened multiple times, but knowing now that I can check the website in future helps. We went on a Sunday afternoon so my daughter could enjoy this location, the Valencia location in great but this location is horrible. I tried calling to even see if this location was open, I called twice and no answer, we decided to go anyways, when we got there only 1 girl was working and she said she couldn't answer the phone because it was only her, which is crazy because to handle all those kids and trying to help people coming in. She also told us we could only play for an hour because another party was coming in which was fine, we were okay with just playing for the one hour but they were still going to charge us for the full two hours and couldn't even accommodate for the one hour, it also smelled like urine and looked dirty so I'm glad we decided to leave read more

I appreciated how the staff went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and accommodating to our needs whenever my sons asked for a train ride the staff was happy to provide us with a ride around imagine city. This is such a cute place to bring your little ones. And I say little ones because there have been times when bigger kids go & they're too big for this place. My son is a year and a half and could not jump on the tire because there was a much bigger kid there jumping very roughly. I think there should be an age limit to this place. But nonetheless, my baby enjoyed their time here. Some of the staff is more thorough with cleaning & sanitizing things. Other staff just stand there & socialize with each another. I didn't realize they were employees until I saw they had lanyards on. Other than that this place is pretty chill. They let you bring your own snacks & don't require you to purchase their options (unlike Playmazing). Staff is friendly & respectful (unlike Playmazing). Tip; please provide lockers. A very cute and affordable place to take the kids. The staff are nice, make sure everything is clean, and they even know some of the kids' names, which shows a whole level of care. It's less of a "run around to get energy out" place and more of a "pretend play" place with lots of houses, a train, bubbles, a bouncy tire, and a tree house. The staff is constantly wiping down toys, putting toys back that are misplaced, and watching the kids. I love their ambiance and it's so conveniently located. read more

Such a cute place to take the kids to. Hubby and I both enjoyed ourselves as well! The setup of the "stores" or houses was really nice. There was enough room for the kids to roam around and their eyes were kept busy from ceiling to floor. It was also nice that they had lots of props for the kids to get their hands on. My only concern going during covid was making sure the toys were clean before my kids touched them and also leaving them clean for the next kids to play with. It was almost impossible as the kids would jump from one thing to another in a split second. But if your kids are used to a daycare or a school setting then there's nothing to worry about. If you've been taking extra precautions with your kids then it's best you go first thing when they open during the work week so you can sanitize the toys yourselves and not worry about a crowd. My wife and two small kids just went to their Easter Egg Hunt event and my god. What a complete sh*t show it was. The staff was completely and utterly disorganized. The whole thing was complete chaos. We arrive early. We are one of the first families waiting outside. Employee comes out to check us in. Then says "come on in" then "No wait". "Ok, yea". "Well wait let me ask my manager." Another staffer is making announcements over a mic and another is contradicting her. There was entirely WAAAAAAAY TOO MANY PEOPLE for such a small place! They crammed as many people as they could in there because more bodies equals more money. What they should've done was different time slots for the different age groups. My 2yr was almost getting trampled by other people's feral 7-8yr old running around. Then Bluey and the Easter Rabbit came out for photo ops and everyone went ape sh*t and people pushing to get in front. The icing on the cake was the trash parents stinking of weed. We left early because our kids just were done with the chaos and so were we. Never again for these types of events. If they are going to continue to hold events like this then they need to scale way back the amount of tickets they offer for it and have several events for different age groups so little children don't have to be worried about being ping ponged around by bigger kids. read more

First thing noticed was 3 exposed outlets, some had covers some did not... there are 2 bathrooms and only 1 has a changing table which is odd for a CHILDS play place. They only have adult seats in the restroom which again is weird they make seats that are both child and adult that would be EXTREMELY BENEFICIAL in this setting. Watched the employees picking up item and putting them away, one employee went to the new turtle tank pick up the turtle and proceeded to touch toys that children will put in their mouth.. I'm no expert but you have to clean your hands after touching turtles let alone touching toys children will be playing with. I was going to see if it was a place I can get a membership with but it was just too many red flags to even go back to this place. This is such a wonderful place to bring your toddler! We have a 2 year old and he doesn't have many little cousins or other kids of similar age to socialize with. I love that this place is the perfect opportunity for that. We've been here 3 times already and paying the monthly membership fee is WELL WORTH IT! He loves all the play houses and the toy jeep and the lawn mowers and the toy animals and the mailboxes and kitchens and grocery shopping and the train ride and the BUBBLES. We used to go to their old location by the Buffalo Wild Wings but its better in the mall because there is plenty of parking and parents can take their toddlers to a wonderful play area. I do miss the toddler room where there was soft play but the set up inside and the train rides are much spacious. I took two of my grandchildren today to play. They are 3 and 4. The employees who greeted us were friendly, helpful, and really nice. Imagine City is a miniature pretend city complete with houses, diner, pet hospital, grocery store, car repair shop, and book store. There's even a train that runs every 30 minutes. It is really clean, bright, colorful and looks so fun when you walk in. The kids were really excited to go in and play. It's a great concept. They also offer classes and I would like to check them out in the future. It feels safe because they have a gate all the way around the play area. The minus for us was the number of babies/toddlers under the age of two. They were loving it and having a blast, but their "play" is vastly different from 3 and 4 year olds. For instance there was nothing to play with in the grocery store because the babies had put all the food in baskets and had dropped it around in other places. The diner was full of tools from the repair shop. And the pets from the animal hospital were being carried around by toddlers so there were no pets to pretend with in the hospital. My kiddos lasted about 40 minutes and decided they were done. That would have been okay, except I had paid $22 for 2 hours of play. It would be nice to have a designated older/younger play time as some places do. Maybe if we could go again when there weren't so many babies, my preschoolers might want to stay a little longer. We'll give it another try. UPDATE: We came back on Saturday morning. All bigger kids and we had a blast! Train ran every 5-10 minutes. Total different experience without the babies and my kiddos didn't want to leave. read more

My friend and I first found out about this place when we saw the van driving around town promoting Imagine City. We attended the Pre-Grand Opening on Saturday and were very delighted. Our kids (2 1/2 & 1 1/2) absolutely loved this place. My son's favorite thing was the train, he could not get enough of it. My friend's daughter loved the grocery store. The kids were in and out of all the different structures. They have a house, garage, diner, grocery store, bookstore, and a train that goes around the entire city and even goes through a tunnel. We spent 2 hours there and the kids could have stayed even longer. I love the concept of this place. Kids can explore a real town for themselves while playing with everyday household objects. I'm excited to see the future growth of Imagine City which also includes dance and yoga classes. The AV has limited options for toddlers to have fun and develop new skills. I am so happy Imagine City opened up in Palmdale. read more

We visited once and immediately bought a membership. My 2.5yr old LOVES this place and most of staff are really nice and engaging. He loves the train rides and I love how there's 2 rooms with different activities so he can change it up. The only thing I don't like is that the large projector TV is almost always on (when I go in the evenings). Unfortunately, my little one becomes a zombie when he sees a tv on. I'm almost paying for him to just sit there while I try to push him to play. I get not all kids are glued to the tv like this but I think a tv is a little counter-productive for encouraging little ones to use their imagination. While I love the place, sometimes I think about cancelling the membership bc my little one will literally just sit on the bench and watch the tv. read more

This place was super cool. My niece loved it! The staff was great. Very friendly. The train rides were awesome. They have 2 houses with pots and pans, broom , washer dryer ect.. , a diner , market, costume shop, a vet and a gas station in the main building. Then in the second room is where the electric cars are. A cute little track with a spot inside where you can be to play. There's a remote controlled car for the little ones. Typically we love attending the special needs days when able. My son has been asking for a while to go but we haven't been able due to some medical conditions that occured. Today I get an event reminder on it advising today, Sunday 2/24 from 8:30-10:30 was the special needs day event so I got my son all excited and he headed from west Lancaster. I was so very disappointed upon arrival to find the doors locked and a sign up saying they would open at 10:30. Question is...Why send a event invite and reminder? Why not post In the event that you shouldn't waste your time going since they wouldn't be open? Worst part of it all on the way back my son got car sick and threw up all over the car and himself. We've only been to Pretend City in Irvine and Imagine City is not as big but big enough for their imagination and awesome! Very well maintained, awesome atmosphere and great staff! Every time I have my grandson I will be bringing him here. I signed up for their emails and they have some awesome activities too. Staff said there are more children at 10:30 when they open.
