Dust on rafters over a food area
    Abbey O.

Unpopular opinion, but I hate great wolf lodge. This place is a shameless money grab, it is TRASHED, a nasty germ pit, and their pricing is a scam. First let's establish one thing. Yes this place is completely overrun by kids, I'm sure it's hard to keep up with the beating it takes. So is Disney, which is always clean and well kept. Great wolf lodge is not. Please see my pictures, this place is truly disgusting. Has anything been dusted here, ever? Sit in any common area and glance around and you will see dust EVERYWHERE, gouges in walls, food (bodily fluids??) on surfaces, it's nauseating. The kicker - they charge upwards of $800-$1000 A NIGHT on peak dates!! The scam - they tell you it's so expensive because the pool passes are valued at $75pp per day, and you can swim the whole day on check-in and check-out. HOWEVER, try taking a person off your reservation.... That should take $75 off per day assuming their pool pass is removed, but it does not. The percentage at which they raise their pricing on peak dates should honestly be illegal. The rooms are like a glorified holiday in express. They make them seem fun by tossing in a fireplace or bunk beds, but in general they are mid and just as trashed as the common areas are. Our kids thought the pool was fun but I also found it disgusting. The cabanas fill with garbage that no one cleans out if there isn't a later reservation and it's trashy and gross. We were evacuated from the pool multiple times an hour so they could shock it because some kid pooped/barfed in it again. After one day of using it I woke in the morning with my throat and nose burning like I had chemical burns just from breathing the air in there all day. I tried to go back in but the chemicals were so strong that it burned my eyes and throat and I literally could not do it a second day. I could keep going on the food, the dumb wand activities, it's all subpar and insanely expensive. For $1000 a day you could take your kids to Europe instead and literally save money.

It can be a little pricey. You have to pay for parking, lockers, drinks are a little expensive. But kids had fun at the water park.

    Firecracker shrimp - phenomenal

We had never been to GWL before and WOW, to say I was blown away is an understatement! We stayed over New Years and had a the absolute best time - the staff, the activities, the endless entertainment. For how packed it was, everything was surprisingly clean (no one came home sick!). Even from the moment we called to book, the customer service was top notch, with our representative working with both me and my friend on two different calls to make sure our families had side by side rooms. We very much enjoyed the dining at Fireside - the firecracker shrimp was quite possibly the best I've ever had. The vibe was very low key, the endless activities from mining to swimming to build-a-bear kept everyone happy. I can't wait to come back again with my family!

I'm hoping to add photos since those will speak for themselves, but wow..... they have surpassed my absolute lowest expectations. Check-in was suppose to be at 4 (we arrived at 3 and started the process) we didn't get a room until after 5. Their excuse/reply was "Howls, there was an emergency situation at the desk, we do apologize for the issues this has caused." when I asked why I was told our room would be ready in 10mins and it had been over an hour.... Mind you I was in the lobby the entire time. There was never an emergency of any kind! Traveling with a medically complicated child and needing to do specific treatments on time and then having a huge delay is unacceptable. But it gets better. Finally get to the room and it's filthy. I have photos.... Whatever I brought Lysol and scrubbing wipes. Then we get a little pool time, have dinner, head to the arcade since every thing was delayed and a machine freezes on them while owing over 600 tickets. Great, I reach out to them on their " concierge" text line and no apology, no I'm sorry just "our attendants are gone for the evening. Take a photo, we can't help you right now" basically. There was a little more context and excuses. ok, great let's grab some waters from the vending machine and try again tomorrow - NOPE. They no longer have vending, everything is closed, and you can't purchase water bottles anywhere after 11pm. Just a word to the weary, when you see a great deal on a room hear - RUN!!! It's not worth the aggregation or complete lack of any customer service, any service really. I think a motel 6 would be better than this place. This has been a family tradition since I was a child and bring my own children I thought was going to continue that...... but no, never again. I'm so done with this place. Not to mention we had 5 arcade cards all of which had 10,000 or more points on them and during Covid their systems updated and erased years of arcade savings. that should have been the last strong but I kept allowing more disappointments. We won't be coming back.

Plan on spending just as much money as you spend on your room if not more for all the activities! It is spendy! The water park was mediocre. I've seen better water parks, and we didn't even make it to the slide because we were doing other things.

I love this place and truly appreciate the many positive changes I've seen compared to two years ago. It's clear that management listens to customer feedback and genuinely cares about improving the guest experience. I'd love to return again and see the resort continue to thrive with more happy guests and fewer negative reviews. For that reason, I'll focus mainly on areas for improvement rather than the many great aspects, staff, and experiences that made our stay enjoyable once again. Areas for Improvement: Room & Amenities: Adding charging stations in the lobby and USB outlets in rooms would be very helpful. More toiletries in the room would also improve comfort. Cleanliness: We noticed flies in the room, which should be addressed. Food Quality: Some food options, like the pizza and pretzel outlets, were disappointing. I've shared a separate review about this, but both quality and smell--especially near the pretzel area--need improvement. Wait Times: The wand shop still has long wait times compared to two years ago. More staff could help improve this experience. Value of the Super Wolf Pass: It seems to offer less value now, with more add-ons requiring upgrades. Guest Comfort: Offering complimentary tea, coffee, or flavored water in the lobby would be a thoughtful touch for arriving guests. More benches around the resort would also help parents who need short breaks. Retail & Arcade: The gift selection in the arcade shop could benefit from better variety and quality. Maintenance: The stairs in the pool area (near the water slides) need repair--there is constant dripping water, and some steps feel unstable. Even my 10-year-old noticed this, so it's a safety concern. Check-in Experience: First impressions matter. The check-in experience could be improved with more welcoming, friendly staff. A smile and positive energy go a long way, especially for families with kids. Even uniform colors could be more cheerful. Room Quality & Noise: Rooms feel below the standard of similarly priced hotels. Upgrades are needed, and adding rugs could help reduce noise traveling between rooms. Wristbands: The wristbands were sometimes difficult to use for room access, especially when also wearing a smartwatch. Family Experience: I noticed many parents feeling overwhelmed. Adding thoughtful messages around the resort acknowledging and encouraging parents could make a big emotional difference. Activities: The MagiQuest (Master Magi) game feels outdated. For returning guests, adding a second level or progression system--and perhaps a prize incentive--would make it more exciting. Parking Fees: Charging $25 per night for parking feels excessive for hotel guests. This was disappointing and would make me reconsider returning. The bed : The bed, pillows, and mattress were so soft and fluffy that I couldn't sleep well through the night. Overall, we still had a great time, and I recognize the effort that has gone into improving the resort. With attention to these areas, the experience could become truly exceptional.

    Overcharge. Erroneous charges.

Overbook regarding the "unreturned towels". I stood there and watched my wife drop them off and scan her bracelet. Awful Also. Why is it literally impossible to get an elevator in a reasonable amount of time? There are 4. Go here if you want to spend thousands to stand in line waiting for an elevator half of your time.

    Laura M.

Good: Friendly, helpful staff. Clean facilities. Good communication about services. Not so good: high prices for parking even for hotel guests, food, add-ons. High noise level and hustling and bustle by half the people.

Went there solo - sooo I recommend Great Wolf Lodge but only if your dignity is already low enough that nothing can hurt you anymore. So here's how my trip started: I'm crossing the U.S. border, and the officer asks if I'm traveling alone. I tell him through clenched teeth,, "Well, my well let's just say girl girl Sabrina... decided to extend her trip with her mom." He looks at me. Pauses. Tilted his head like a mentally disabled disappointed Doberman pinscher. Then goes, "Yeahhhhhhhhh... well I ain't even gonna try dig into that today. Have fun, and good luck buddy." Which immediately told me two things: 1. He thinks my relations hip is on fire 2. He's probably right Anywayyyyyy I roll into Great Wolf Lodge. 4.5 hours by vehicle from Vancouver blood pressure 181/100. Perfectly normal. The place is absolutely INFESTED with children. Like someone shook a giant box of Fruit Roll-Ups and they all swarmed out. Let me be clear: I've partied with the best of them. Clubs, festivals, Vegas rooftops ... you name it. And let me tell you... There's ZERO difference between adults on drugs and kids on sugar. Dilated pupils, same sudden sprinting, same "I need to pee RIGHT NOW" energy. The only difference is adults are doing different types of sugar. Kids are on Skittles and slushies; adults are on tequila, Pablo , and the slow decay of their will to live. But honestly The kids were handling their substances better. There's really nothing worse than walking around as a 40 year-old at a waterpark solo, i basically radiated "Sir, who are you here with?" energy the entire time. Then I find out the two best tornado slides require more than one person in the tube. I tried EVERYTHING: * Negotiation * Pleading * bribery Nothing. Slide guards were stone cold. Luckily, I ended up meeting three 11-year-olds -- Eric, Kyle, and Stan with the same problem Great little dudes. They kept hitting me with that new school coded language like "bro's 67" which, thanks to my nieces , I actually understand. So I managed to blend in like a government experiment trying to pass for human. The slides? Incredible. The rooms? Shockingly solid. But the real magic? The bar. Only problem I quit drinking This bar is basically the Parent Tap-Out Lounge I sit down, order my steak frites which slapped, by the way and all around me are parents medicating themselves with cocktails, massaging their temples, and staring into the middle distance like soldiers who've seen things. Meanwhile, about 150 feet away, there's a screaming horde of children in some kind of wolves-on-meth concert auditorium. The bartender tells me there's also a 13-mile obstacle course in the building. THIRTEEN.!! ? He said he did it with his kid earlier and was "I f$&kin cooked!" Bro... that's a half marathon. Inside a hotel. So yeah - if you're bringing your family or if you're looking just to check off a whole bunch of boxes as a dad that works way too hard this is basically Wally world- you need to watch National Lampoon to get the reference Five stars. Great place. Next time I'm bringing Sabrina y'know, once she's done spiritually rebooting with her mom and remembers might still I exist.

Listen. I am aware that everything is overly expensive, so I wasn't surprised at the total amount like others were. The rooms were fine, but where this place really shines is as a safe, family fun center. There's so much to do (Water park! MagiQuest! Mining Co! Mirror maze! Arcade! Food! Activities!), and we leaned into doing as much as possible our first trip so we could gauge what we'd like to do more of the next time we went. I would caution around the accessibility of this place though; the elevators are dreadfully slow and the MagiQuest game is intended to be up and down on different floors constantly. I could not imagine needing a mobility aid and escorting my kiddos up and down and down and up. Overall, my kiddos had the best time, the staff was great, and it was a perfect family adventure weekend. We'll definitely be back.

Ask the Community - Great Wolf Lodge

What restaurant is the breakfast buffet at & how much is it?

Yes, the Breakfast Buffet was very good and had a great variety of food to select from. Decaf coffee is on request from the servers. It cost $19.99 for adults and kids were priced by age. I truly enjoyed the breakfast. Enjoy

Is there a shower facility for day pass guests?

They are inside the water park, so yes.

With the two biggest slides can you choose what tube to use. I'm worried about falling off the orange 4 tubes linked one and would rather my family of 4 sit in the one big open tube. Is that possible?

No you can't choose for the 4 person one.

Is Grizzly Robs open right now, November 2020?

    Open now in2023

What is max capacity for the cabana rentals? I will have a party of 10, including two 12 month olds. Is there a cabana large enough to accommodate my party?

For one, the word "cabana" is misleading. They have a handful of alcoves (like three or four max) that they call cabanas. There is seating but nothing else special. They have enough seating for 6 people but you can get more chairs, however,… Read more

We are a hotel guest so are water park towels there? Also how much are the lockers?

The hotel towels stay in the room, and you obtain, use, and leave pool towels at the water park. I'm sorry, I don't know about the lockers.

Has anyone been here recently in the past few months, and had cleanliness/bed-bug problems!?

    Not for me no

Do they offer life vests for kids/toddlers or is that an extra charge? I saw that they offer Day Passes now. What time does the water park open and close?

They offer life vests of all sizes. Puddle jumpers as well. No charge. Water park opens at 10, closes at 8pm!

Is there a place in the water park area where you can watch TV without renting a cabana? We're heading there this weekend and are bummed the Seahawks game is moved up to 10am!!!

    Yes upstairs Grizzly Rob's

Are there TVs in the water park area?

There are no TVs in the general water park area. The only place that has a tv are in the cabanas that you can rent.

Which pass should I purchase for a 4 year-old boy? Pup pass or paw pass?

I would get the Paw Pass its has several activities that are perfect for his age (just took our grandson the same age). Then you might take part t in the games and story time at tue lobby clock tower. Between the two and water park of course thats… Read more

Planning a trip here in 2 weeks are there more bug issues or poorly cleaned rooms?

I've been there 3 times and I've never seen a bug and the rooms are always impeccable. Good luck!

Anyone have problems with bed bugs lately?

Never had an issue and I've been there 3 times. It's very clean there. If you're still worried you can buy special mattress covers at most department stores

Is there a laundromat here in the building for the guests to use?

There is a laundry room onsite for guests. I don't know what it costs to use, but they definitely have one.

Are water shoes and goggles necessary for the waterpark? Debating if I need to run out to buy those items before our trip.

No, not at all. My daughter never uses either.

    Are dogs welcome there?

No. If your dog is a registered service dog then they are allowed.

Has anyone had problems with bed bugs recently?

We visit every year but are holding off. Each year the service has declined and the place looks dirtier each year. Our last visit there was issue after issue, games stopped working midway through and took a couple hours to fix. Between the arcade… Read more

Not only do we live 6 minutes away, but it's nestled next to the aquatic center so parking is a breeze. Since this is a newer spot, everything is pristine and modeled very well. The bathrooms are spacious and clean and a good spot to change your kids into dry clothes after they're done playing. The splash pad itself looked small at first, but it really is a good size and my kids spent THREEE HOURSSS here and were asking to stay when it was time to go. They had a BLAST! There is a good deal of covered umbrella tables with chairs, as well as a couple large picnic style tables. There is also a good amount of lush grass perfect for setting up blankets and towels. As a toddler mom, I also appreciate that this place is SUPER fenced. There is obviously a small opening at the entrance, but other than that you don't have to worry about them having easy access to the street at all. They have two cabanas that are rentable, and each one fits about 10 ish people. They are covered and have comfy seating. My kids had so much fun here that we decided to book both cabanas for my son's August birthday party. There is a refundable deposit attached, but the fee itself is $75 for the DAY to rent (11am-5pm). Definitely an affordable price tag if you're looking to come here with a guaranteed covered space for the day. They also have a small "splash snacks" walk-up counter that has things like light snacks, sunscreen, and slushies for sale. I would say the only thing I noticed that I'm surprised they didn't add was a water bottle refill station. You could of course just use tap water from the bathrooms, but if you're not a fan of that, plan to bring lots of extra water. I see lots of days at the splash pad in our future!

I can confidently say that after being there yesterday that my boys and I will be back! I decided on taking the kids there because I was looking for a new playground space. We had usually gone to other parks/playgrounds and we were all getting a wee bit tired of the same old, same old. I showed the pictures of the playground to the kids and they thought it looked fun too. We went there and were pleasantly surprised at what all else they had to do. The playground itself has a big toy that's shaped like a large ship, which they had fun playing on. However, it was the walking trails and beach access that they enjoyed the most. The trails are partly paved and partly unpaved (so do remember to wear your boots). They lead you through the woods, along and close to various benches and covered pavilions, and down the hills to the beach. The trail hills are not that steep, so it's doable and not extremely strenuous (my 6 year old made it around easily - and the 3 year old mostly was good ... just got tired near the end, after a couple of hours of walking and playing). The best part of the walk was getting down to the beach! It's a beautiful view and very easy to walk around. Hard-packed sand, shells, and flat made for a nice walk. Because of all the recent rain, it was a wee bit sloppy; but fun. My kids had a wonderful time walking/running around and watching the water, looking for shells, and just being kids! We felt very safe there and I never felt like I needed to be "on guard" like at some parks. Overall, the park is large enough to spend a couple of hours there, and yet small enough to not get lost of feel overwhelmed with the number and length of the trails. I asked the kids if they had fun and would want to come back again. They both immediately said yes to both questions. There you have it. We'll be back!!

This place is pretty cool and a great place to spend a day with some young relatives. It has a…read moreplayground, small spray park, ice cream/concession stand and a community pool. The parking lot shares space with a police substation so it feels really safe and everything seems really clean and nicely upkept. The park appears much larger on the map than I have checked out and appears to include a skate park as well. There are tables available to enjoy a picnic, or to simply sit while you watch children enjoy the playground. I did find the spray area to be a little underwhelming, but the playground equipment seemed newer and unique. The pool is a very good reason to come to this location. They are currently doing limited sessions due to lifeguard shortage, but its only 7$ for 2 hours. Best of all the wave pool is heated and feels amazing on a hot day. There are some water squirting things and one of those large buckets that dump water on everyone's heads. Lifejackets are available for use. On the day I visited there was plenty of room for everyone to occupy a table or lounger. It appears that the grassy hill next to the wave pool is a good location to set up and bring your own chairs, blankets, etc. There's a 1 ft wading pool that I mistook for a hot tub and was a little disappointed by, but likely great for smaller children. I also really liked that they have children complete swim tests and give them a bracelet to tell others what areas of the pool they are allowed to be in. My 7 yr old nephew insisted he could swim, but it was nice to have someone official reinforce that he needed to stay with adults or before a certain point.

I love this park and the houses surrounding it, it feels safe and open. The pool wasn't open but…read morethat's awesome they have a water park area. There is also a basketball court, kids park, baseball field and I think a co-op. The grass is well maintained and the trees and landscape is nice to look at. My son is getting into a tree climbing phase so ofcourse he had to climb a tree :p
